    'Fantasy' is fantastic and perhaps my favourite of the three.

    This is playing out exactly as I expected. Jools Holland for her first performance shows they're thinking long-term — especially if the charts aren't interested. She can flourish with critical acclaim and build a dedicated fanbase to tour for.

    It really annoys me HHUK should be massively supportive of UK artists.

     

    There needs to be more balance of the bigger international hits and Uk artists who don't have the worldwide success.

     

    I'm just really hoping Fantasy does get added.

     

     

    Yeah I totally agree. It's already FAR harder for UK artists because Spotify is dominated by US based playlists, so the least HHUK could do is be more upfront with supporting UK artists.

    I am surprised that people are surprised that this is not climbing the charts. It's a good song but this should not have been the follow up single.

     

     

    It’s nothing to do with the song. Unless you go viral on Tik Tok, or are a massive global star like Adele / Bruno Mars, you don’t really have a chance in the UK without hot hits. Point blank. Even Your Love was added from day one.

    Who are "they"?

     

    I think the song is fine and video elevates it (I'm a huge fan of 'Carrie'), but it would require a star like Sabrina Carpenter to make that type of song a hit I think. Like people said, Jessie Ware has released this type of music without any chart success. I think Jade needs something "quirkier" to chart well.

     

     

    To be fair, I feel like Jade is doing well enough commercially that I'm glad she's sticking to her guns. I'd rather her get acclaim, awards buzz and make some good touring coin than put out quick cheap songs that she knows will do well on Kiss FM.

    So what exactly are the most influential uk playlists to the charts? Clearly NMF does nothing. :lol: I only know of Hot Hits UK.

     

    Hot hits UK and Todays Top Hits. Sadly Todays Top Hits won’t add unless it’s a massive hit or a UK artist like Adele.

    #77 on Apple Music now, it’s the 5th highest solo effort peak on Apple Music now, overtaking ‘you go your way’. Angel, Boys, Forget About Us and Your Love peaked higher. The next one to out peak would be ‘your love’ at #60.

    Oh damn, I had hope it might appear with being #1 on NMF.

    Yes, I think the tragedy has played a bigger part than expected: not just the fact the songs are everywhere but it’s meant Jade has been very quiet with teasing/ hyping.

    The annoying thing is on Spotify Angel didn’t do THAT well on Spotify after the first few days, being on hot hits from day one helped it secure a place in the top 50, so it could be stable there. Without being hot hits uk first week it might never have gotten there at all which might be the fate for this.
