  13. 'Light' - New single (extracted from her website) Fresh out of New Jersey, the almighty sound of Alexis Houston stampedes onto UK shores as she releases her stunning new single, ‘Light’ on 26 May with the eponymous EP hot on it’s heels on 7 July. Powerful gospel fused with a vibrant serving of RnB/pop – ‘Light’ is one of those epic tracks that reaches into your inner-depths and fills you with utter joy; anthemic percussions, intertwined with addictive beats and the utterly mind-blowing vocals of Ms Houston. With the voice of an angel delivered at jet-plane force, Alexis Houston is fast becoming the voice of our generation. Her EP ‘Light’, showcases this mighty talent with x5 songs including the title track, ‘Light’, ‘Morning Noon Night’, ‘Silence’, ‘Redacted’, ‘Light’ remix by Jake Ridley (Christina Aguilera). Daughter of entertainment manager, John Houston and Bahamian businesswoman, Marjorie Stuart, Alexis was quite literally weaned on a staple diet of music and entertainment; her early years soaking up the experiences that make her the phenomenal global artist that she is today. The spotlight first fell on her writing and recording talent as she scored music for TV shows and penned tracks for ad campaigns including diet Coke, AT&T and McDonalds. Initially she was content with her production / writing success, but her talent couldn’t be confined for long: “Sometimes when you’re a writer, because the lyrics reflect your emotions, you’re the best vocalist to get your message across,” comments Houston. In 2010, Alexis Houston debuted her solo album on Alls Well Music / EMI), she embarked on two UK and European Tours and performed for Prince Charles at the Princes’ Trust Gala Dinner. Garnering snowballing media attention and an ever-increasing fan base, Alexis Houston unleashes her best material yet in the form of the illuminating, ‘Light’ and EP ‘Light’, Houston has landed – enjoy! Listen Here: Also found this footage from here UK tour in 2012 pretty interesting, enjoy it! https://vimeo.com/63649762
  14. The thing i love about country pop music, is that its easily accessible and it seems to relate to the masses. Always been a massive fan of Jessica Clemmons, i think she has such a lovely innocent clean voice and a perfect blend between country and pop. I would advise, but not force any serious country fans to check out her website/soundcloud/youtube...etc because she definitely offers something for everyone :) Anyway, The new release 'Love Like That' is her follow up to 'Single Tonight' RhGtA9BEMNk Was lucky enough catch JC live last year when she was supporting BOYZONE on their #BZ20 20th anniversary tour, had a right ball and a good laugh at/with my childhood idols - Boyzone. haha Do any of you guys recommend or know of any decent country music blogs/sites or forums? please feel free to share if so.. I always check UKCountryMusic which is pretty good, that's where i found this video, also a nice write up if anyone is intrigued: UK Country Music - Jessica Clemmons EXCLUSIVE:- Love Like That

Background info about the band: http://www.peppermintheaven.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/PH_jeffandbro-300x200.jpg Bio After cutting their teeth playing the Chicago indie club scene several years back, Peppermint Heaven aka Juno (Vocals, Keyboards) and Spark (Vocals, Bass, Drums) separately made the long trek from Chicago to LA eventually winding up together in the summer of 2011 when they began creating their own tasty brand of 80s-influenced indie pop, replete with heavenly harmonies, Juno’s delicious keyboard hooks and Spark’s inventive bass ‘n’ beats. Taking their name from an obscure pre-Smiths Morrissey song, Peppermint Heaven found a home at indie band playground The Bedrock in LA’s storied Echo Park area and several months of playing, writing, recording, mixing, and honing their sound followed. After a wintry trip to London in early 2013, the boys decided that the UK would be the perfect launching pad for the band. This made perfect sense, as many of their influences hail from the UK (Tears For Fears, Pet Shop Boys, Simple Minds, New Order, Howard Jones, Psychedelic Furs to name a few). The result is their debut release – The Delicious EP – which features remixes of fan favourites “Into Gold” and “So Unbelievable” by Mike Rizzo, Almighty and Buzz Junkies especially tailored for the UK market. The Delicious EP will be released this Fall on Megahit Records. So, get ready as Juno & Spark take you to Peppermint Heaven! 18. qSmKR1rNwuA&list=UUyc7SnsEfeY9B7-_FFv6L2A This track gives you a better idea of the music Jezzebelle write and perform, I do love the DataChild remix and i'm very impressed by the production. However i sometimes love to hear Jezzebelle stripped back to their guitar and vocals! What do you prefer? the song is a bit out of season however i can listen to Katie sing anytime of year, she has such a distinct soft voice with such adorable tone!! :D

Here is the lovely Corrina's official lyric video for the up coming single, 'Always Coming Back' Don't you think its a really catchy, well structured pop song? Be aware, once you've heard it you will most likely be singing it for days :D :w00t: :D  3XfqkmfP4rY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa-zUV7hN4U Another feel good track from Dr.Jain Wells :D The more i listen to her music the more i think her voice sounds like Dido.. but the music and accompaniment almost reminds me of early Deathcab For Cutie. Very different artists to make similarities too, i know ;)

Some may, Some may have not heard of Corrina Taylor! However 'Always Coming Back' is sounding great on her soundcloud: This one is quite old but its interesting to see how much her sound has changed comparing the two songs.. 'Risk The Distance' almost reminds of Lilly Allen, both tracks have different qualities but I prefer the new singer/songwriter sound rather than the older electronic pop track.
  25. Another track from their upcoming release.. No dates announced as of yet. Will update the thread once more info is shared However i'm very excited for this to drop in the UK though!
