The OCC have blocked Mariah from entering the Top 100 this week. AIWFCIY is number 57 on sales and 63 on streaming yet is nowhere to be seen. What a joke.

I think it depends on age tbh, most people born early 80's and onwards will say that the song has always had a presence since it's release. When I think back to radio in the late 90s, this song as well as Fairytale of New York, Christmas Wrapping, I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday and Merry Xmas Everybody are the standouts that got heavy play. And the music video was always on MTV and The Box with the likes of East 17 and all the other classics. People like to credit Love Actually with it's re-emergence when it's simply just down to the song being made available to purchase as an MP3. It's peaks on the download chart: #5 2004, #2 2005 and #2 2006 and had it been allowed to chart in the latter year it would have been top 10 on the official charts.

Have reached out to her team, regarding the reset. Hopefully they can work their magic!. The 7" and cassette will ship on the 20th from the UK.

Next year Christmas is on a Friday and the succeeding years will only have 2 - 4 days of sales, which wont be enough for number one. 2024 is the next year when she'll have at least 6 days of sales. But who knows in what state the charts will be in by then.

Yep, this really is her last chance. Keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Don't underestimate the power of Mariah. Her Merry Christmas 25th anniversary release features not 1 but 4 versions of AIWFCIY, including the never before heard 1994 live version at The Cathedral Of St. John The Divine. Her streams are going to be up and she has the benefit of an additional day, unlike last year. She's also releasing special physical editions of the single. There are also reports of her staring in a Christmas advert for Walkers, but that has yet to be officially confirmed.

She's rereleasing the single on a 7" vinyl and cassette.

Surely Mariah is on lock for number one now? She should get around 260k today, then depending how they calculate Thursday, she'll ending the week roughly between 55 -62k. I hope so.
