New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I would love for TT to make another song with Mattman & Robin, the producers for "Higher than Higher". They really blew up in the last 2 years with some of their songs becoming pop hits such as Selena Gomez's "Hands to Myself", DNCE's "Cake by the Ocean" and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Run Away with Me". I would love another pop banger from them. :D

Did they give up on this already?

The song needs more live performances or it will continue to fall on iTunes. :(

So "Cry" dropped out of the top 40?

I think on-air, on-sale is detrimental to Take That's songs, as their past hits tend to have 4-6 weeks of radio buildup before release, and people will buy it on the week of release. With on-air, on-sale, songs aren't given enough time to catch on with the public and tend to suffer because the radio effect are more spaced out over weeks, and most songs will languish in the middle of the chart because of this (the exception to this are the A-listers of today such as Drake, JT and Rihanna, since the fanbase and GP will buy the song the minute it gets released). However, since the UK is now adopting on-air, on-sale, I guess there's really nothing TT can do other than constantly promoting the song. EDIT: I just saw that Tuesday's data is missing Spotify and Apple Music streams. They're most likely gonna fall out of the top 40 this week

Streaming will become the main avenue for music consumption in the near future since sales has and will continue to decrease, kinda like how music charts incorporated digital downloads after it became popular a decade ago. I think the chart is only trying to get with the time (or trying to increase sales figure using streams  ) Although I think the OCC can tweak its streaming rules a bit, because it is a bit strange when the top selling song this week (JT's Can't Stop The Feeling) is blocked from #1 due to streaming (Drake's One Dance)

On Popjustice? X Factor, tax evasion, Geri Halliwell and Tulisa. (Also they think he's boring and his songs are not bops a.k.a. pop bangers like Rihanna and Beyoncé)

Drake's single is catchy enough if you're into dancehall/Afrobeat music (like most of Rihanna's output). I've been hearing it a lot at school, and I went to a club and when this song came on everyone went nuts and ran onto the dancefloor. Don't expect power vocals though. It's just a song made for dancing.

1. Sales are now counted from Friday to Thursday 2. The chart now combines sales and streams (100 streams=1 download). What this does is that sometimes a song that does really well in streaming may chart higher than newer songs that have lower streaming figures (Drake is #1 on the charts this week despite JT outselling him, and Drake/Rihanna's new song is #8 on the charts despite only just reaching the top 20 on iTunes) 3. Because of streaming, more songs have longevity on the charts now, and newer songs also chart lower because of this (This is Drake's 6th week on #1, and 3 of Justin Bieber's songs are still in the top 50 after half a year)

It'll be a great result if Take That can get a top 5. #1 is probably too difficult given that JT, Calvin Harris/Rihanna, Drake and Beyoncé are high at both downloads and streams.

Cry - Take That & Sigma
So I heard the song on my Apple Music and I have to say I'm really impressed. Most of the song is very ballad-like, the chorus has Sigma's classic drum-and-bass sound with Gary's vocal over the gospel choir, and Gary's vocal shines throughout the song, especially at the bridge. Lyrically, it's definitely a love song, but it's a lot more preachy than any of Take That's other songs. The song structure is actually similar to Sigma and Rita Ora's song "Coming Home" if you want a better idea of what to expect, but hopefully this is a song that does well on radio and the charts. My only criticism is that it sounds more like a Sigma and Gary Barlow song rather than a Sigma and Take That song. It doesn't sound like Mark and Howard contributed any vocals, but if they did then they were drowned out by the gospel choir.

Yeah I imagine streaming would be a major factor in determining the song's success and longevity. Unfortunately many older artists struggled after the OCC included streaming into the charts, plus the on air, on sale strategy only benefits artist who are hot at the moment, and a lot of songs have seen its performance suffer due to a lack of momentum.

Sigma's a drum and bass group, so be prepared.

Take That to go to Vegas
Well Backstreet Boys have signed a deal to do a trial residency (9 shows) to see if there's enough interest for a full residency. I'm assuming Take That will do something similar to this as well http://edition.cnn.com/2016/04/04/entertai...feat/index.html

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Well actually we got the signs too. Everyone was waving it during "Back For Good" :D http://i.imgur.com/Z2Id60I.jpg

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
My faves were Pray (the dance moves was a hit with the crowd), Back For Good (everyone was singing along word-for-word), Let Me Go, Rule The World, Said It All, Shine, Relight My Fire and Never Forget (amazing ending). I wasn't too familiar with 4 Minute Warning (well, not many people at the concert knew the song), but people who did know sang along at the top of their lungs, and it's actually a great song. I think I'll check it out and add it on my Apple Music playlist.

The Singapore concert is amazing. I had such a great time. The crowd went wild whenever Gary started singing, and he really had by far the best reception from the crowd. Everyone was singing along to Shine, Pray, Could It Be Magic, Patience, Back For Good and Never Forget, and I lost my voice by the end of the concert, but it was totally worth it :D Gary also hinted at the possibility of more Singapore concerts in the future, and I hope it happens B-)
