No I fully agree with you and Christmas only emphasises how much impact playlists are now having. Imagine a radio 1 playlist having so much influence back in the day, it was never allowed to happen. It's the next conundrum for the OCC to solve but I don't know how.

Yeah, that's true and that's probably next on the hitlist. It's more prominent at Christmas though with the sheer amount of playlists and extra people that are streaming. Streaming is one massive headache that is gonna take ages to find a perfect solution on.

Even if it's just people/businesses/shops endlessly streaming playlists? There's so many Christmas playlists on the home screens people are just starting them off and leaving them. Is that what the charts should be about?
