  1. She said yesterday ‘full album hopefully next year’. Apparently she has written 300 songs in the last 5 years.....
  2. Tbh the song sounds better next to the well produced video... YoKewGsPOWk
  3. It was written 5 years ago. Syco wouldn’t release it.
  4. This Is Real kinda disproves that 😉
  5. Ella Henderson - Glorious #80 Can’t say I like it. But I think there’s quite a lot of goodwill out there for her.
  6. Gotta say on first listen I don’t like this at all. A really bizarre choice, just dull musically. Seems like they got over wrapped up in the lyrics and meaning and just didn’t deliver a song with any impact. Oh well hopefully they’ll release This Is Real as a single. That is great.
  7. I think they claimed her new material wasn’t good enough. But in the end they had a hugely talented teenager under their wing with a strong 1st era. Their job to help, guide and manage her. I guess in the end 2nd era’s need a bit more thought. Not syco’s strength.
  8. Ella Henderson twitter—-> Hey all!! Make sure you head over to Instagram tonight at 11:50pm GMT as I’ll be doing a Q&A on Insta Live!! Can’t wait for you all to finally hear #Glorious ... I also have a surprise for you at Midnight ;) xx so see you then! E x
  9. IT’S OFFICIAL! Ella Henderson will release a collection of four self-penned tracks, called “Glorious EP”. It will include the title track, out TONIGHT, and “Hold On Me” & “Friends”. #GLORIOUS The EP narrates Ella's journey these past few years and touches on everything from relationships (with herself and others) to mental health, from battles with false ideas of perfection to just enjoying living in the moment. #GLORIOUS “The Glorious EP represents the perfect taster for what's to come. Built around a simple synth bass throb and a multi-tracked choir of Ellas, the sky-scraping, deeply soulful title track and first release represents a cleansing of sorts.” - @AtlanticRecords “#HoldonMe is a ballad which feels more like vintage Ella Henderson, showcasing once again her more personal, near fearless songwriting, touching on her own relationship, plus that of her parents” #GLORIOUSEP ✨ “And the ludicrously catchy #Friends, a horn-laced R&B throwback and ode to the people who stuck by her side through her various trials and tribulations.” #GLORIOUSEP ✨
  10. The track was written by Henderson alongside Natalie Dunn (Jojo, Ella Eyre), Louis Schoorl (Charlotte Lawrence, Jess Glynne) and Marco “Mag” Borrero (Colbie Caillat, Jasmine Thompson). Wonder if it’s a ballad? Whatever, it’s gotta be fantastic for her to break back after 5 years! Not sure how it fits with her Jax Jones song, guess they’ll hold that back as a single? Good luck anyhows, she has lots of talent and deserves a break.

Good live version of This Is Real. Interesting convo after. Ie. Ella wrote this with Jax 5 years ago. Apparently Syco wouldn’t release it🙄 SSI7sRUan04
  12. Pleased for Sigrid! Strangers is my least favourite of her releases so far though, would be happy for a Plot Twist re-launch. Hopefully she keeps her simple artistry and doesnt go the sex sells route.
  13. Quite a nice, sweet song. A better quality version here ----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T_fDXyARVI I guess it has some single potential (?), certainly seems to have gone down well at the gigs.
  14. She tweeted that she was playing some new music on the James Arthur tour (had to really). Also confirmed 'new music in 2018' https://twitter.com/officialcharts/status/930510679685156866 Waaaaaaaay too late, sadly that's the problem with Syco, unless you are a top flight success off the bat you will get no support (even after a platinum album and pretty good chart numbers). She needs to get out from Syco and try again.
  15. Fair enough :0)
  16. Seems a bit odd going on a big radio show to say something as vague as 'the album is nearly done'. They must know a release date and the single by now. At least tease it properly :0) First tour date with James Arthur is Nov 16th in Leeds, get a move on girl..... [and doing that tour and promo at same time might be interesting]

She has a headline UK tour in March, so the album must be coming Jan/Feb I reckon....

Jealous, only seen a few great live TV things, like Jools Holland https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgNq1wgaNYo I have to catch her at a show, she's gonna break huge...
  19. Yes I would agree with most of that (although they are also putting effort into James Arthur). tbf maybe they see 'releasing an album' as a bit pointless for many of their artists - that should not be the case of Ella who I'm sure can sell albums. It seems they have quite a small setup and can only cope with a few 'acts' at once. Obviously they need to prioritise given the numbers coming through the show, but they seem to be very narrow and risk averse. On the Ella/Louisa point. Logically you would think Louisa's 1st era is over (after singles, tour) and they will focus on Ella. That leaves Louisa's album hanging further (unless they just release it with little promo). The other alternative is they go yet again with Louisa with new singles off the album and throw Ella under the bus.
  20. Prioritising Louisa since mid 2016, including So Good Oct 2016, Best Behaviour Mar 2017, Unpredictable May 2017 with associated TV, radio appearances. They couldnt have done that for Louisa and Ella, So Ella's album was put on hold for an extra year. What is interesting is that XF are now promoting Louisa and Ella is invisible in promo. So I'll be interested if Ella does get an XF gig.
  21. She is supporting James Arthur in November so the album realistically HAS to be out before that. I assume they are also lining it up for Xmas sales. The lead single must surely be out in the next 4-6 weeks or so.... Jesy from Little Mix put this on Ella's Instagram yesterday 'jesynelson If only they knew what was coming 👀😍 I agree 3 years for the follow up on a platinum debut album is ridiculous, especially when we were hearing the album was nearly done a year ago. I assume Syco have prioritised Louisa and just dont see much mainstream future in Ella, which is a bit sad seeing her first era was pretty successful. Will be interesting to see if they give Ella an XFactor slot, I doubt it as she isnt a feature in any XF promo Ive seen. One things for sure, the Album 2 debut single had better be immense, else it's game over....
  22. Dont mind the Sam Smith song, besides the gospel choir which is pure cheese. Certainly not amongst his best though.
  23. Syco always positioned Olly as a Robbie Williams Mk2. A cheeky chap, not particularly gifted, but given the right material is totally able to put a song across well and with some charm. I see no reason why that plan cant continue for years to come. Maybe his star will wane a little but he remains a likeable character, very hardworking and with a fairly strong fan base. I dont see the point comparing to Will Young.
  24. Dont forget these two (ahem) 'copulated', let's they see if they make sweet music together  Although tbh it sounds like a potential horror show.

Sounds a lot like Ella Henderson on quite a few tracks, but with better/more 'contemporary' songs. I like it.
