  4. Would Sam Smith be the first male to do the Bond theme?? (I think so)
  5. Sigala just took an almighty 8.5% lump out of Bieber [insert joke] on the last update. Not sure what happened there! Kygo up to#10, interested to see how that fairs with the OAOS debate, it being a mid sized release [although perhaps its a bit niche dance and not pop so probs wont get a lot of daytime airplay any hows....]
  6. This has just gone #10, doing really well with little or no radio play yet! I like it a lot now, and it has got me into listening to Kygo, pretty impressed tbh.
  7. Marty posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Amazed that Martin Garrix has only just gone silver! Great to see The Clash and All American Rejects there!
  8. An OA/OS song has to have a big enough artist, to get airplay/promo to survive a couple of weeks until streaming builds. I dont understand smaller artists doing it (unless its a focused PR event). Lets see what happens to the latest batch, like Kygo.
  9. Up to #23. Good start seeing he probs ain't out of bed yet for promo :0)
  10. Sigala now #8 Kygo up to #35 R City down to #40

  15. Certainly this tropical dance is nowhere near as pop/commercial as Glitterball, but I like it more tbh. Like this lower range for her voice.
  16. Full song here.... http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/kygo-here-for-you/

  19. Here's a longer, poor quality, version of it...from last October apparently! Nice feel to it, and the vocal range much better for her voice than Glitterball.... https://t.co/7mM4MTFlJn
  20. A new single Kygo ft. Ella Henderson 'Here For You'. Now confirmed as out 4th September. https://twitter.com/KygoMusic/status/639147142758666240 https://twitter.com/LincsFM/status/639398971853676545 Full song now here... http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/kygo-here-for-you/ tBESAFzAzw8
  21. They go back thurs where I'm from, I was thinking streaming as much as anything :0)
  22. To me it's at the extreme and unethical end of that spectrum. The show presents itself as an open talent show with Cowell primarily as a judge. In reality he has gained control of it behind the scenes for himself and his company. They pick who they want, then in future get them promod through appearances, song choices, background music to huge audiences, making themselves lots of money...again this is done surreptitiously. He gets paid an enormous amount as a judge for the privilege! And gets to employ mates and employees ranging from Sinitta to Olly Murs. I'm not suggesting anything illegal. It's just not ethical or healthy for UK music. Anyways sorry for hijacking the thread. Is there somewhere else to discuss?
  23. The point being made was Cowell largely controls the show and takes advantage of his position for his company (and him and his mates). I dont think that's particularly healthy for UK music, but I wont lose any sleep over it.
  24. You have to remember Cowell has it largely stitched up for his Syco acts. Pretty out of order actually, and I say that as an Ella Henderson fan :0)
  25. Sure it wont stop him, just interesting to observe (and of course Demi may be affected by return to school as well). I actually prefer Fight Song, not that I like it! As I said very slim pickings at the moment in terms of decent songs....
