In terms of Spotify (not just UK!) and the new release 'competition' that week: 1. Glitterball 746k 2. Foxes 0 (not released) 3. Aston Merrygold 100k So that's looking good. Add in Glitterball moving to Radio 1 playlist B and upgraded on the Capital playlist next week, and its looking positive.

I think she was outstanding on XFactor, probably because they really focussed her on the performance and connecting with songs. I agree with you on lower register though and I dislike the 'inflection'/yodel thing they introduced in her singing. I love her warble though :0) Glitterball has just jumped 70 places to #230, after a Radio 1 spin. It's kinda annoying they didn't get her to do a mini commercial radio tour to promo it, it could probs have made top 10, it's a decent bit of summer fluff.

Very little radio support so far unfortunately, hard to understand as its a safe summer bet. Even the labels don't seem to be doing much, even social media wise. Which is odd because actually both artists are in trouble if this isn't a half decent hit.

Disagree with this. Charts and the OCC, have to work to strict rules and procedures which ensure the consistency and integrity of the charts. Else its just an inconsistent meaningless shambles. Its actually disgraceful that there hasnt been an official OCC statement.

Do we know yet whether: 1. Spotify deliberately withheld the data (probably due to some argument about Apple streaming) or 2. Whether it was a technical glitch (either at Spotify or at Millward Brown, who centrally collect/analyse the data for OCC) Anyone heard anything, from an official source?

I hope so, but I dont think it got added to any more radio stations for next week... Maybe it'll make it if we get some sunny weather for 2 weeks :D

I am actually surprised the pre-orders have been that good, because it has had so little radio play. Of the major stations, I think it has only been added to Radio 1 C playlist (and to be honest Im not even sure they played it!)... I cant see it getting above #20 but hope Im wrong.
