Their biggest problem was the lack of any personality, the label just went for the smouldering look approach. Can't see any of them making it solo either, no doubt a bit of modelling for a year or two then a 'proper job'!

Obviously they are lining this up for a summer hit with the June release date. Can't say I like it, just not enough there in the hook. But it seems people like her and want it to succeed.

Yep! I guess they are playing the game of trying to improve streaming numbers by holding back the video. Dont get it myself. Just get the video out, create some buzz, and on the TV music channels!!

I assume they delay the video to try and get more streaming, although Tbf she did say they were waiting for it to be finished off... Chatty man appearance is a nice one, look forward to that, hope she has a chat as well...

Ella appearing on Radio 1 Live lounge next week. The Mirror Man campaign seems to be very BBC centred/supported. With plenty of appearances on Radio 1 and 2 and the Lottery Show on BBC1. Whether that is deliberate no idea, but I would have thought she could do a commercial radio tour if she wanted. They just seem very chilled about this release.

Thank the Lord! Indeed this sounds great on the radio, really nice production job. I think it will bubble along for a good while, helping the album.

Ella has flown out to the US today (I guess something re US single 2?) So I guess they are sensibly prioritising that rather than single 4 here.... I think they see Mirror Man as a vehicle to maintain a rolling media profile but have no expectation of a 'big hit'

Too early to write off Mirror Man, as no one knows what promo is lined up in the next 2 weeks, especially re commercial radio and TV. It rose 400 places to #250 and Chapter One 70 places to #50 solely after her Radio 2 appearance. So will be interesting to see what the Lottery performance does... But in context yes it is single 4 and surely the priority now should be single 2 in the US....

Looking forward to the Lottery performance tomorrow, first big TV promo should provide a good boost. Shaping up pretty well.

Very likely she will win the best a british female Brit, which will give this a boost. Can't say I love her, but she is interesting.

Rockets is gonna do well cause its a really nice upbeat soulful love song :) Whereas 1996 is a corny over-personal song about her growing up

I find 1996 the most cringey on the album. But actually if you make it through the first 30 seconds it's a decent song!

Who did she go to Performing arts school with? Who was in a boy band? :)

Five Tattoos was put out as a promo track in October 2013, a whole year before the album. Probably surprised it made the cut, but a decent song about an ex. The clue to who the ex is, is on her a Wiki :)
