  1. Looking at the YouTube of this racking up 20,000+ likes in 12 hours, this is shaping up to be massive.. Just perfect for hooking up with the emerging film popularity.
  2. Love this and great fit for this soundtrack.

I think Giants would do well, probs better than Mirror Man, although Empire does seem the obvious choice. [apparently Giants isn't even on the U.S. chapter One release so I doubt it will actually be that!] I am sure they are lining up a biggish collaboration though, hopefully that can smash and give her another BIG hit.

Great! And perfect timing for the U.S. Launch of Chapter One on the 13th!

Mirror Man posts on a U.S. Forum I go on, Ghost has now climbed to #24 on iTunes and #19 on AirPlay, and is still climbing.. Suffice it to say his commentary is like a tale of woe, in fact thrice woe..with a bit of extra woe thrown in! But I agree with Sean, the flop/drop jokes are a bit tired now...

Yep. Finished #19 on year album sales with an October 13th release, good job.

Great! Hopefully it will hit platinum within a week or two! Although clearly all sales will have dropped off a lot...

Chapter One now 99p on Google play! Also, Chapter One US launch on Jan 13th, the day after her 19th birthday. Yours, Glow and Mirror Man have been used for pre launch promo.... Preorders seem pretty decent, it's been in the top 200 for 2 weeks+ Guess it would be helpful to the U.S. Launch if the album goes UK platinum ASAP..it's quite close now and the Google Play sale should help...

Love Ghost, even now after a gazillion plays! But happy with Rather Be, such a great feel good track.

    ^ This!
  11. Home was a really good pop single. Radio 1 at least should have supported it, I guess commercial radio just doesn't want to support a BBC show for whatever reason. I think Leah had,has 3 issues 1. Her sound had a hint of jazz which can grate 2. They messed up with Ordinary Love as promo, that was dull as dishwater, and quite a few took that as the lead single 3. Her image is marmite, I personally like the quirky fashion which is unique. But obv a lot don't. I hope they release Home,in the US but no signs of that at all.

Rockets is probs my fav track on the album! Soul suits her voice so well...

My fav next single would be Giants. I would take Empire. But I reckon it will be Mirror Man!

Actually quite enjoyed it becasue it was mostly live, with just a bit of FF for the Vamps, Tom Odell, Ben Haenow. Highlights Mr Probz, Ella and ahem Ed Sheeran although I have seen it 100 times already.
  15. A real shame, she has a lot of talent- too much to waste. You would have thought someone would have tried her on a collaboration at least!
  16. The point is this UnionJ song has had very good radio support and certainly not just Capital. 1D were made to be a vehicle, to fill a market gap, I don't think that's really in doubt. I hope they get increasing independence. UnionJ I guess still have some chance with another single or two off this album, released on a shoestring budget. But it would take a miracle for them to break through from this point.
  17. Peaked #3 on Comparemyradio, currently #6, over last 30 days with over 5000 spins is actually very good radio support. Have to disagree on 1D, nothing vocally or musically distinctive at all imo, just a vehicle. But they are a good mix of individuals which brand collectively into something quite effortlessly cool, whereas UnionJ are a bit stiff and old fashioned with a forced 'smouldering look' approach, which is anything but cool haha Ps. Don't get me wrong I have actually liked most songs 1D have delivered :0)
  18. This single in fact has had broad support from pretty much all commercial radio and reached #3 on airplay. Clearly that didn't translate to sales, partly because the song is a bit dated but mainly imo because the boyband market is saturated and UnionJ are one too many. Tbh I don't agree that 1D are musically distinctive (the vamps and 5sos are), they 'could be anyone' but ....they got there first....

You know that's false. You were told it was 62k start of this week, it's now Friday and around 75k. Seriously what's the point with the continual pointless pessimism and negativity.

A collab with Pharrell would be interesting, cant get my head around what that might sound like! (unless its a rework of Glow for the US market?) Some rumours emerging that the next single might be Mirror Man- not my fav but I quite like it, I would still go with Empire (but Rockets and Giants remain favs as well).
  22. Union J do intrigue me though. Can Sony make enough non-music sales money from them to make it worthwhile? Merch, appearances, even a small tour... They do have some profile (3 top 10 singles, You Got It All remains #3 on the radio playlist chart with 5500 spins, XF/JBB/Key103 appearances etc) and it is convenient for the likes of Capital FM etc. to have a cheap 'One Direction lite' band they can fill the boyband gap at events and the like. Interested to watch what happens, if/when single 2 etc... or will lack of hard £££ just do them soon...
  23. Nice job, a good laugh this thread. :)

I saw that, it was a great simple performance, just right for the song. Id really like to see her doing it solo playing the piano as well... btw Yours entered US iTunes at #57 I guess off album preorders..now #87 ish

4 Remixes for £1.49 or 99p separate http://smarturl.it/EllaYoursRemixBundle?iqid=gm.gb.tw.card I think she will do some smaller London gigs. She said she is trying to gradually gain more experience performing before doing a solo tour which is fair enough. I would say her performance has improved quite a bit in the last year, much more relaxed and happy/outgoing.
