I mean she isn’t Beyoncé, Adele or Gaga is she? She’s a dance feat artist.

Things seem to be going to Becky Hill’s head a bit. She just came out on some Insta post with ‘I am Popstar’. Ummm not so sure personally. Think I’ll give her a wide berth for a while.

I think Ella is viewed as a great professional with a great voice who is a safe and solid choice for a wide range of music. She has a bit of pulling power and a decent chart track record. I’m sure the dance stuff is just a money earner and she really sees herself more in pop/soul music and songwriting. Her tour with Cian Ducrot will kinda reflect that I think. I hope she does more intimate piano based gigs to establish a more solid album based audience in the future. I think she was also working on TV possibilities but I guess doesn’t have enough profile yet to make that happen…

There’s something about this Becky vocal that repeatedly hits an unpleasant screeching spot. Not nice.

I mean tbh she isn’t the most talented vocalist and has had a great long lucrative career. I wonder what she’ll move into during her next phases.

Tbh I doubt there’s much more thought than taking whatever opportunity presents itself and getting some money in the bank. Maybe that’s fair enough for someone who’s been around for 10 years and is unlikely to breakthrough big on her own(?)

My understanding is the OCC’s IT database can’t handle joint releases, so only the first named person gets credited. The 2nd named person essentially gets regarded as a feat. That’s what happened with This Is Real which was a joint release with Ella’s name 2nd. (I had a Twitter interaction with an OCC manager about this a while back). Generally, I can’t see an Ella tweaked version of this doing much. Although it will be interesting to see how much life her vocal can spark into this.

Some of you might think this song might be a bit boring… But they’ve come up with some top promo photos to grab your attention and rush out and buy it! Lolz

Cian Ducrot has joined Ella’s solo tour in October as support act. They are releasing a joint single ‘All For You’ Friday 12th August. Interested to hear it!

Let’s also not pretend that Guetta signed up 2 artists for this, Becky and Ella, for no reason. He knew it would be commercially beneficial.

Let’s face it the album wasn’t very good and given the amount of time since Chapter One that was disappointing. Im not sure what her preferred musical style is any more. Im not even sure she knows. But whatever, she should be proud of her longevity and success. She’s dug things out with talent, being a real professional and being a likeable person. And she’s only 26. She’s had a very interesting journey.

Ella must be pleased that she is also the lead songwriter on those 2 songs. Interesting where she goes next. I’m sure Joel Corry has her number….

It will make it! Didn’t realise Ella was the lead songwriter on both CWLCD and 21 Reasons. She’ll be pleased to get 2 top 10’s for that reason as well…

Go is one of the best songs this year. I mean they’ve flogged it to death but it’s a really good song.

I prefer 21 Reasons tbh. Nathan gave it a little push midweek and it seems to have done the job. He has more pulling power than you think.

This I don’t agree with. If you are using a sample of a well known and popular song it needs to be strong and obvious. The alternative is like Ella’s Dream On Me collab with Roger Sanchez which used a weak sample of Another Chance and didn’t make the top 100…

True. But she has still done 2 songs with him. 3 would be unusual I guess…

As fun summer dance songs they’re both pretty good tbh. They’ll probably both go gold anyhows. Anyway it’s a bit of interest on a fairly dull chart.

An interesting one. I guess the Nathan song is just a feat for Ella, the Guetta song being a joint release might be a slightly higher status(?). Also she’s done 2 songs with Nathan and being successful with Guetta might be sensible for the future, maybe something else with him… Of course both could miss out again. But a good position to be in!
