An after thought... I was really surprised that Kate Nash and Kaiser Chiefs were elimminated out of the Top 10 best single category! :o

Leona Lewis!!!!!   For the first time in years my peeps won something...Kate Nash, Mark Ronson, Take That, Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys!!! :yahoo: Did Vic Reeves do something to annoy Sharon???
  3. Happy Valentines's Day Carole (and to everyone on the site).
  4. Yeah I agree slowdown73 but it was at the time we had the "Kylie" comback and "The Spice Girls" comeback and "Who would get to No.1?? I respected Kylie because with "2 Hearts" she tried something a bit different for "Her" whereas The Spicies stuck to the good old safe formula!!! Kylie could have churned out another "Spinnning Around" if she'd wanted to play it safe. I respected her for going with "2 Hearts"
  5. Well remembered. The Phyllis Nelson climb was so slow!...just like the song. I was writing down the charts in those days and didn't think it would ever make No.1!!
  6. You also have to remember that it's the 2nd single. Almost everyone, including myself expected "2 Hearts" to make No.1 and we had to settle for No.4 :(
  7. I think a few weeks ago peeps were thinking Kylie's "Wow" had a good chance of climbing to Number 1. Surely with, what will be, 9 weeks of Download sales, the chances of this is less likely. Won't the fans of already bought it and with Physicals likely to be fairly low these days I would now guess a low Top 10 would be a good result! Any views...I'm maybe completely wrong!
  8. Proud Mary
  9. Until It's Time For You To Go
  10. I have to go for "She's Not You" again. It makes me feel good and my first Elvis track I fell in love with!

Great track, fingers crossed for Top 10!
  12. Hi shindymindy, I haven't tried to force any views down anyone's throat! I was only trying to answer a querie regarding Girls Aloud!
  13. I caught the tail-end of one of the music channels playing the Top 20 Oasis videos this morning. They had Wonderwall at No.1! What do you guys think? I personally think that the videos for Stand By Me, All Around The World and Little By Little are better. :)
  14. Hi shindymindy, I appreciate your point but I thought we were aloud to express our thoughts on the chart on this site! :)
  15. I agree with you Brutarn. I'm not knockin' the Girls! (If only..) If the track did chart in the Top 10 it wouldn't count.
  16. I suppose I asked for this! Hi Brutarn, I'm not a knocked out Girls Aloud fan but just wanted to back them up and stand in their corner!
  17. That's my thoughts but I' probably get slated by Girls Aloud haters on here!!!
  18. I think that their 17 consecutive Top 10's run will hold. As Mikey pointed out in the other thread, The Guinness Book of Hit singles, (if they do another one), will have the St Trinnians track as an official Top 75 hit. It will have a star next to it explaining that it was a Download from a soundtrack and not an official release by the band. The Guinness Book, in the past, acknowledged The Beatles as having 11 consecutive No. 1's (From Me To You in April 1963 - Yellow Submarine in August 1966.) In June 1963, "My Bonnie" reached No.48 (which is credited as a duet with Tony Sheridan) and in 1964 "Aint She Sweet" peaked at No.29. On that basis I'd say that the next release from Girls Aloud should be their 18th consecutive Top 10! :)
  19. Hi Carole, There's a nice piece on Youtube of Elvis rehearsing "I Just Can't Help Believing" with good photos. If you search: Elvis - I just can't help believing (studio rehearsal) ;)
  20. Thanx Carole. :D
