Lol Defjam and Island have done lots of things behind the scenes Leona could never do on her own, nor a small PR team, to get her out there. She has lots planned but for some reason fans want everything to be in first weeks or fans seem to drag the labels for not promoting enough simply because they don't know what is planned. They're very strict and secretive about promo spots. I leaked the Ellen info couple of weeks ago and apparently there was some trouble because only a few knew about it + it wasn't totally confirmed. I'm pretty sure they're doing a terrific job. We should only judge when the era is done imo, give them a chance.

Apart from the release date change of FUMF the campaign has been just fine.. Sure she should have been more out there regarding release week but she has already promo slots planned until December

I don't know how much they usually sell (the libertines) because I don't know them but they're currently somewhere end top200. Unless they've been there quite a long time I don't think they'll sell that much more than Leona

I said previous success. They have NOTHING on Leona at all. Except more albums and more #1's in the UK. "material their fans wanted to hear", well for them it is easy but with Leona who's able to do any genre basically, the material the fans want to record is different. The one wants uptempos, the other ballads, the other wants collabs with trash artists, ... It's easy to come back to relevance when they only need to focus on the UK

Her last studio album was released in 2012 that underperformed so you really think 3 years later she should be selling lots? She doesn't have a solid fanbase to begin with because Syco didn't give her worldwide tours. Defjam is rebuilding her career and she unfortunately has to start at the bottom

I was at a showcase in April, she basically perfomed 5 songs. The listening party will be like in LA, with a host. They'll let you hear most of the album (or full) afterwards Leona will join you and will make time for everyone to chat

For me it's good to hear an album that is finally fully created by Leona with no label interference (bar that one song then). I think some fans are disappointed but she invested the album herself, she obviously wasn't going to spend millions on it so quality wise it is different than her previous albums that were paid by the label. Plus, it's the same producer for the whole album. I'm not a fan of that in general. I wouldn't want a full Ryan Tedder album either. I still think everything sounds great and if you play those songs we already have in order then this album will be very good in full :)
