Coach Trip
After yesterday's accident that left Brendan with a bad pain in his ribs, it was down to driver Paul to shimmy the tour's tired passengers onto the coach at the dawn of day seven. The group shared their concerns that Brendan, who prides himself on his punctuality, wasn't there to see them and they began to speculate that he was in more pain than he let on. The international tour guide eventually showed up to tell the group that he was handing over his tour guide duties to Annabelle for the day - a strange choice as she's probably the contestant least likely to be able to read a map, but a comedic one nonetheless. She quickly adapted to the role, taking Brendan's name badge and covering the "n" on it to become "Brenda". Was an international tour guide born? No… Whilst most of the travellers humoured her comedic efforts Mark wasn't as kind, mocking her ability by putting on a baby voice and noting "she's managing to hold the book with two hands". His attitude wasn't appreciated by most of the other contestants and there was a clear age division amongst the group. For what it's worth, putting Annabelle in charge did result in an awkward lunchtime exchange where she accidentally spent 48 euros on 15 cakes - when she checked in with Brendan he certainly wasn't impressed and couldn't believe that she didn't realise that she was spending so much. He noted that they don't have the biggest budget for the tour and it certainly became apparent as they rolled up to their first activity - milking cows. It was an excuse for the group to be amongst some beautiful mountain scenery but I certainly wouldn't be impressed to hear that milking cows would be a part of the day's activities if I was on the show. Emily was extremely unimpressed calling it "disgusting" and things went from bad to worse for her as the animals kept trying to kick her. Attitudes changed, however, as Annabelle - sorry, "Brenda" - announced that the next activity would be paragliding. I think it's fair to say that Brendan shouldn't worry about his job as the group were actually heading on to fly some microlites. So far the tasks of the series have been pretty disappointing but this was certainly one that made my eyes widen. It looked absolutely stunning as the group took to the air in the microlites and it was certainly a hit with the tourists. I think Ben said what all viewers were thinking - "it most certainly beat milking cows". At the activity it was clear that Mark and Kelly's attitude for the day was "with Brendan away, Mark and Kelly will play" as they spent most of their time staring at James and Tom in an attempt to make them paranoid. Tom wasn't impressed at all, telling that camera that Mark "doesn't understand that this is a holiday, not a psychoanalytical documentary". James and Tom called him "nasty" and commented that the pair were "showing their true colours". Obviously it's hard to tell when you only see half an hour's worth of footage each day but it seemed to me that the duo wanted to go, especially as they said that they intended to wind things up with Brendan away - surely they knew it would only end one way, with a red card? Unsurprisingly they were sent home after a whitewash at vote time but something tells me they weren't all that bothered, especially if they truly did feel an age divide on the coach.

Scenes from movies that make you cry?
2 that i forgot are: marley and me- when marley is dying. when ever i watch that now, i have to leave about 10 or 15 minits before the end and the other one is the sceen in girl interupted where daisy is dead, and she's playing that song on the repeat.. the end of the world bambi does get me, " you can't live with your mother forever", really brings it home.

Scenes from movies that make you cry?
what are some sceens from movies that make you cry some of mine: the wizard of oz- where dorothy is talking to aunty M through the crystal ball lion king- where simba is realising what has happened to his father, and is trying to wake him up the titanic- the end home alone (the one where kevin goes to new york). the sceen where he's finally reunited with his mother the guilt trip- the end some of yours..?

What are you watching/recommending?
i like that peace of music, king of pride rock.. think it's something like track 6 or 7 on the soundtrack the bit i always liked was when simba's father was showing him the kingdom and saying about the great kings of the past watching over the land. and as well as them watching, so would i. the music in that part just really fits the sceen. i've yet to watch the movie in full without actually crying- i always cry at various parts 1 particular sceen that always gets me is when simba's just realised his dad's dead, but he can't wake him up and he's screaming dad, dad!. you gotta wake up! such a timeless movie. really.

Coach Trip
Following Kevin and Steve's departure on the fifth day of 'Coach Trip', the mood amongst passengers seemed to be much lighter. The group were joking about their potential future travelling companions while also discussing their anxieties about meeting the newest couple, however, Sandra and Silvana were eager about the prospect of them injecting a little more excitement into the group. Any worries about the new passengers seemed to disperse, however, as young friends Nick and Ben approached the coach. Their self-depreciating humour was an immediate hit and Glen and Wendy seemed particularly impressed, warning the boys that they are "cougars". Talking privately Nick joked to Ben "if it can get us an extra week on the coach, you might have to take one for the team" - something tells me that if they keep up the comedy, they might stick around for a while. There was little time for the new pair to settle in as they headed on to the first activity of the day - sausage making. As usual, the group didn't take the task all too seriously and they were soon messing about. Annabelle dangerously started blowing up her gloves and put them over her head and James and Tom wound Brendan up during the demonstration, causing the tour guide to hit them with his ingredients. The practical joke that started with the international tour guide ended a little more seriously, however, as Mark tried the same trick with Wendy, who lashed out and hit him back and Brendan had to step in. Wendy was gradually louder throughout the day and it clearly didn't sit well with her fellow passengers. The second activity took place in Lyon, where the travellers visited Interpol to take part in a self-defence session. It was immediately clear that the international police weren't going to let the group off lightly as they pushed Brendan to the ground, leaving him with a "searing pain" in his kidneys. Rather than overseeing proceedings he relaxed with Glen, who also had to miss out due to a previous ankle injury, but the officers in charge had no qualms in taking the lead and calming down the unruly tourists. Considering their behaviour at previous tasks, it's unsurprising that the police officers leading the demonstration had to give the group a stern talking to, explaining that the task was "not a game". You can understand why they were getting frustrated as it was truly a free-for-all, with the passengers trying some of their own moves - something tells me that Mark and Kelly's kung fu kicks weren't a part of the demonstration! The tourist who made the biggest transition during the activity was Annabelle who proved that, even though she's a small girl, you wouldn't want to mess with her as she tackled the police officer and was described as a "depraved beast" by Tom. The evening's vote ended with another shock as Glen and Wendy were sent home, with many passengers citing Wendy's earlier incident with Mark as the reason why. The pair again claimed that it was just their humour - that's the thing with 'Coach Trip', being loud and over-the-top can easily land you in trouble if it is perceived to be attention seeking. Here's hoping that Nick and Ben's jokes will be well received by the group, or they could be sent packing sooner than they would like!

day 4 and still no one voted off today, the coach rolled in to france. in the morning while traveling to their first activity, they were playing a game in which they had to go round saying words that are associated with the previous word the morning's activity was human football, and in the afternoon they went zip lineing (something wendy really wanted to do) at the vote, it was kevin and steve who got the yellow card

"BIG" films you never saw the fuss with
life of pi everyone went on about.. oh, you must see this, you must see this, so what. i saw it- it's nothing special. i don't dislike it, but i expected more from it i guess i could say the same for silver lining's playbook (okay, i love that movie) but i remember when it first came out in america and everyone was rubbing in to me that they'd seen it a million times all ready and it was the best thing since slice bread and i was dying to see it, saw it, and all it is is a predictable romantic commedy. nothing special- we have plenty of those

new series started off slow, but their were some funny bits karen and her hamster chrisis just cracked me up- thought that was very funny ben didn't impress me that much, if i'm honest. the storyline with the musical didn't really provide many funny bits for some reason tonight's episode reminded me a lot of the royal family, just without all the TV. apart from the funny part with karen, i guess it was only average

Coach Trip
day 3: in the morning, the group's first activity was to make pottery bird whistles. kevin and steve won again in the afternoon, the group went on the segway, and split in to 2 tteams. team oosh, and the nutcases since they won in the morning, kevin and steve were team captains. mark and kelly were also picked last for any of the teams the nutcases won the segway challenge at the vote, it was a 3 way tie between tom and james, mark and kelly, or glen and wendy. it was glen and wendy who got the yellow card (much to my dismay). i want to see kevin and steve off the coach

so yesterday, (despite the fact i was going to watch black widdow), i actually ended up watching keith lemmon the movie it's hilarious- but the story is not what you'd expect at all. you'd think it would revolve around celebrity juice or something, but no. it's actually really funny and an original story
