  1. thanks and i certainly will. i enjoy doing it it's good to be able to contribute to something i enjoy and feel passionate about. really glad you enjoy them
  2. here we go, with the ant and dec's takeaway review of this week: guest announcer- lee mac the features were game at the start sing along live win the ads the end of the show show i'm a celebrity, get out of my ear! who shot simon cowell? secret sofas/ the best seats in the house tonight's show, started off a little diffrently to most shows. for starters, it ran a little late because of the rugby- so their was no time for a little introduction backstage, it was straight to the titles! after lee mac introduced the show and said what was coming up, their was a performance by brian adams (still really good!). i've always loved brian adams. he just has so much energy. the game at the start was based on corination street, though to be perfectly honest, it reminded me of a game they did last year... people came in to the pub to tell stories of stuff that andria (the girl playing) had done, and then antonia the barmaid (ant) would say a bit more. only thing diffrent about this and last year's version, is that i believe, that last year, they actually had to say to the cameras themselves they done it. she won a place on the cruise though, and that was good. i'm a celebrity get out of my ear!, returned tonight with Gino D'Acampo as the celebrity. it was hilarious, they pretended he was running a cooking master class, and some of the stuff they made him say... if you missed it, you need to watch it. it was very funnny. as for sing along live, brian adams was back- and this time he let ant and dec choose what song he did. they chose summer of 69 (which was actually weird, because beforehand i had a feeling he'd sing that song!) 1 of the people in sing along live they tried to surprise was actually in the audience, so they got the nan to take part in sted! it was fun, and a real good sing along (even i find myself singing to that song). brings back happy memories. the contestant selected for win the ads was fun, and was very confused at the start (or at least that's the impression she gave) she was also inteligent, and answered 2 questions right before she even got the multiple choice answers she got 6 prizes, gambled and won the lot (so later i'll be posting in my other thread in the lounge that i now know the largest family in britain has 19 children!) the funny thing about win the ads this week, is that they didn't do it at the end of the show- they did it after sing along live. who shot simon cowell is actually quite funny, and looks promising (see the news report from ITV!). the end of the show show was little mix (so someone i actually know in that slot). rather, a group of people. highlights: sing along live win the ads (fastly becoming the best part of the show for me!) i'm a celebrity, get out of my ear! who shot simon cowell the end of the show show (just for having someone i know) the bad parts were the game at the start, the secret sofa part, and the best seats in the house
  3. voted for eastenders. obviously. because i love emmerdale

hey, so glad you enjoyed the show! :) what were your highlights of this series? i think the episode where tiger and joey went climbing the mountain was very funny, and also had a shock ending.. the hiker guy nominated them for an award which i didn't expect. best episode of all time though: the episode where they get the olympic swimming team in the hotel- and they end up unable to perform (even though it had joyce in it, it was still funny)

well, we'll agree to disagree. my last comment on the matter is that it must be well liked because itv begged darren litten to write more episodes (he planned to end it after series 4)
  6. just as long as it takes 7 weeks or more to complete. as long as i get my ant and dec posts up on saturday, that's all i'm worried about. i'm excited though- i wonder what the new site will be like
  7. what's this new site?. and when is it going to be launched? what exciting news
  8. thanks for posting the lineup. only 1 i'm aware of is Neil Morissey, still will be good though. it's not really about who's in it, it's about what bear has planned and i love watching bear.

  10. i think it might be an interesting read thanks

what's depressing about it? people enjoy eastenders, or emmerdale, or cori, which are just the same.. set in diffrent places take emmerdale. it's set on a farm and in a village, people talk, their are fires, people get killed off, etc etc etc now the only diffrence i see between that and benidorm is that benidorm's set in spain, and it's not a soap my point is, those things can (and have) happened in benidorm. i'm just a real fan of it, and i don't understand why so many people can't see the good parts of it
  12. who wrote that book? might have to see if i can find it. i remember harry hill's stars in their eyes. lots of commedy, and too much focus on that storyline (if you could call it that?) with addelle

because people enjoy it, and their's no lack of things that you can do with itt it's shows such as benidorm that can just go on, and on, and on, and i suppose the fan base comes from people who have been to benidorm and can relate it's also easy viewing. it's good to have in the back ground, and if you're really in to it like me, even better
  14. great post!. i find this with a lot of the now spin off albums. too many recent hits, and not enough hits from the past (if any, in some cases) the obvious exception is now that's what i call classic rock, where they can't put modern tracks on their, because their simply isn't any modern classic rock tracks but i buy them.. now that's what i call a summer party, for instance, really looking forward to what might be on their, and it turns out that they didn't even look in the archive at all.. just use this years and last year's tracks (which is annoying as hell) another thing, now that's what i call christmas. i purchased last year's rerelease of the album, only to find about 1 or 2 tracks that wern't on the previous edition on that one what, is, the, point just saying
  15. just remember that the new series of the show is on a thursday this year (and not a friday) that was 1 of the first things i noticed about the advert
  16. posted this because of a comment someone gave me about saturday night tv.. they said it's dominated by reality shows, and hardly any original family entertainment shows are made these days what are your thoughts? do you prefer saturday tv of today- with x factor, britain's got talent, the voice, that kind of thing- or do you think more family shows (such as takeaway) need to be broadcast? personally, i'm for the old saturday night format. i remember shows like gladiators, blind date, noel's hous party, even who wants to be a milionair made up saturdays (it was good for a saturday night), and let us not forget shows such as the vault, which briefly held a saturday timeslot. i think it's sad how these days on a saturday night, if you're not watching a reality show, it's you've been framed, or if their's nothing at all reality on, ITV put on a movie what happened to shows like stars in their eyes. not so much a reality show, just a fun weekly singing contest i like reality shows like the X factor, but i do think that more family/ entertainment shows need to be included don't get rid of X factor, strictly, what ever it might be, just try and add more variety of shows.. or at least that's what i say
  17. emmerdale to win! best, soap, ever!

so, as well as finding out today benidorm is getting renewed, i also found out that the classic comedy are you being served? is getting remade, by none other than darren litten, writer of benidorm how exciting!. i'm honestly looking forward to this (not just because it's written by the same guy who wrote benidorm), but because i love the show. i've always loved are you being served and i think it will work. it's not the first remake and probably won't be the last

i've put it in my planner, and i'll watch it later. suppose i was getting a little bored of vera, so this might offer something better

it's the last in the series tomorrow (what am i going to do!). probably get out my box set and watch 1 of the previous series hopes are high though for a 9th series, since the website of the writers confirmed it. (and these are the same writers who posted a few years back they would finish at series 4. lol!) i just hope jeff/ the oracle returns. 1 of the main reasons i watch it.. i love johny vegas. my only complaint about the currentt cast of benidorm is miss temple savage. i really don't think her running the hotel is exactly good.. she's not got a very friendly way of talking to the guests bring back janie, please!

i miss this channel all ready. not sure why, i love little britain and gavin and stacy (both got on dvd), i know family guy's being broadcast on ITV2, don't tell the bride is being broadcast somewhere else (i think sky 1?) and i barely even watched it. i think part of it's because of a blank space in the EPG- once that's filled, i won't miss it so much. but i also wonder what will happen to live at the electric. i really hope a channel will pick it up for a new series btw, on the subject of family guy, can anyone tell me if bbc 2 all ready lost the rights? i know they did show it for a bit on sundays

well, don't spoil it. :). i'm doing the patient thing and watching them as they broadcast (so every wednesday night) gotta love having so many channels at your fingertips
  24. well i'm glad i'm not the only one who knows why.
