I actually think this is one of their best albums yet, maybe even top 3 for me. Glad to see the chart and sales reflect the fans' standing.

Brand New Sun is a let down for me. I got bored after 30 seconds. It sounds more like a song that belongs on a Mark album, not on a TT one. I'm still hoping that, one day, we'll get another massive TT ballad. SISYL and the Neverland album are the last albums that truly made an impact on me, no matter what the critics say. I still hold hope for a TT album that stirs in me the same emotions.

I agree. For me, Windows is one of their best songs, much better than These Days. The acoustic version is amazing. Don't like the latest single, though. I hope that the album follows the same direction as Windows and we don't get too many songs with Mark as the lead. They have to accept the fact that Gary has always been the voice of TT.

It doesn't help that he doesn't have any big promo right now. I know he's touring and doesn't have time left for anything else, but I would have liked to see the same big promo he usually does with his albums. The single, if promoted enough, could sell the album consistently until Christmas. It's stuck in my head and every day I'm waking up with the line "You've given me nothing" in my head :D Another mistake his team made was making most versions of the album, bar the standard one, available only in UK. People have to remember that these sales, even if delivered to other countries, counted towards the UK charts in the past. Now, a lot of European fans were put off by this discrimination. I know my friend, who used to buy most formats Gary put out, refused to buy even the standard one, as a form of protest. I would have liked to buy the deluxe version and the vinyl one, but.....it seems Gary”s team lack a few neurons.

I love How Christmas is supposed to be. It's so catchy and so much fun. I hope it does well or at least sells the album for Gary. I think you, guys, are overanalysing things. It's just a Christmas album, it's not supposed to be revolutionary or anything. I think everyone can enjoy good Christmas songs and Gary's voice :P Put it this way: if he sang the telephone book, we'd still enjoy it to some degree, cause he has an amazing voice. Big band is not my cup of tea either, but I can't say I don't like listening to Gary's version of the songs. And supporting him on projects he loves, but we're not particularly excited with, allows him to put out new music, that we may fall in love with. I certainly wouldn't want him to be like Adele, who puts out only safe music - the same thing she knows masses will get along with. I'd rather Gary had some hit and misses and continue to challenge himself and try new things, than release 100 of SISYL. SISYL is my favorite album, but it's special because it's been done once. I'm happy if I find on an album 2-3 songs I fall in love with and the rest are just ok.

Gosh, tonight's session, with Hallellujah....left me speechless. Beyond beautiful. Gary's voice just keeps getting better. And the Patience version with Boy George was gorgeous too.

Completely agree. I think he has achieved exactly what he wanted or at least he is happy with what he has achieved, considering his label did not even want him releasing the album when he did. He went against all advice and did really good.

Elisabeth, do you mind if I ask you something? Why do you always insist on making Gary look like a failure? No matter what he does or what he achieves, you put a negative spin on it. So what if his album didn't chart in other countries? Does that make him less talented or less valid as an artist? 100k in this climate is no small feature, especially for someone of his age and considering how much negative press he's been getting constantly.

Had Elita had more radio support, in time it would have been able to chart decently. For as long as Radio 2 played it, it stayed top 10 - 20. Our radio also played it a few times, which is a premiere and showed potential. It's a shame other radio stations didn't get behind it, just because Gary isn't of a certain age anymore.

I have no idea who Sheridan is, but she seems very lovely and her voice is great. Loved the duet much more than the one with Leona. I actually don't believe Gary and Leona's voices blend very well and I'm not looking forward to her being on his tour, but....

For me, it would be second to Elita. It's too bad we're not living in a world where songs like This is my time can be considered single worthy. Out of all the songs, it's the best one, yet, somehow, that's not enough for it to be a good single. Enough is enough is fun and catchy, but I still prefer Elita over it.

Tonight's one was perfection. Endless Love was written for a voice like Gary's.

A Million Dreams was one of the best in my opinion.

I like them both equally. I LOOOOVE the vocals on aThis is my time, especially at the end, when he sings "my" - my heart does a jump on that one.

It's a tricky one. I absolutely love This is My Time, especially since I know it's about Poppy and Dawn, and because it's so much Gary like, but, as a single, I think Elita was the best choice and should have been promoted more.

36 ???? I still believe some streaming reports must be exaggerated. Anyway, going by his placement, Gary must have sold around 1k - very little, but, at least, they are ACTUAL sales and not some stupid streaming units. Yeah, we'll have to wait a bit for that gold certification. I hope the Crooner Sessions will remind people of Gary and will push them to buy the album.

It's so strange it's only 13 in the charts, while it's 2nd on sales.

Isn't it no 5, though? Sorry, just checked. It was no 5 on the sales chart. Michael Buble's streaming must have been insane to get him that position. Anyway, album wise, sales are more important. I'm curious whether MPBH gets certified gold this week or not.

That's a bit too optimistic :D I think he'll do around 11-12k. I'd love for him to do around 15 k, so the album gets certified gold.

I was expecting Gary to drop a little, because fans have now pre-ordered the bundle which is to be released tomorrow, so there was no reason for them to purchase something else this week.
