  1. Take That would have easily been no 1 any other time Ed wouldn't have had strong sales, that's a certainty. I don't think they were that frontloaded. They had 65k on pre-orders and managed to sell almost as much as that since then, which is pretty good, imo, especially at this time of year. I don't believe Mother's Day had that much of an influence on their sales - Ed would have benefitted from that much more than them. Imo, they should have advertised on tv, on Red Nose Day, the release of their album, and gathered a few more pre-orders and released next week. But what's done is done.
  2. I'm with Pippa somewhat on this. I don't actually dislike the album, I just enjoy very few songs on it and, even so, there's not one track I can say is better than anything I've heard from them before. With III, I was madly in love with WYBTFM, Freeze, Flaws, HTH and quite a few others and I found myself listening to them on repeat. This hasn't happened to me with this album. I still wish it does well, of course. I'm still hoping I'll grow to love some of the tracks more once I hear them live. PS: An Evening with TT will be on the 8th of April, at 8:30, on ITV.
  3. I love New Day and, in a poll in a big TT group, New Day was the most liked song. Have you heard the Soho sessions? They sound amazing: https://www.mixcloud.com/michellethornton22...tm_content=html
  4. Hi, Badhabit :) I hope we'll get a physical cd of New Day with a b-side. Although it's only a b-side, I, personally, rate Loving or Leaving above many of the tracks on the album. I'd love it for It's All for You or Hope to be the 3rd single. They really need to put out a ballad.
  5. Gary has confirmed at the signings that the next single will be New Day.
  6. Although I'm sad Wonderland won't be no 1, I'm really impressed with their sales. Imagine what they could have sold had they decided to release in Q4!!
  7. I seem to be in minority here. I preferred III to Wonderland. I have to listen to it more, cause, at the moment, I can't make heads or tails out of it. Come On LOve has started to grow on me a lot, so has New Day and Giants, but my favorite still remain It's All For You and Hope. The weakest tracks are Howard's lead and Superstar. Don't really get Wonderland and The Band Plays, but, as I said, I need to play the album more. Giants really grows on me with each live performance. Really nice surprise tonight on Takeaway - I wasn't expecting them to perform Giants. Carpool Karaoke was hilarious last night :D
  8. It's all for you, Loving or Leaving and Hope are my favorites  I also like The Last Poet, New Day and I also like the verses on Don't Give Up on Me. Unfortunately, I can't say this album is what I had been expecting from them. I love the tracks where Gary's influence is more obvious, but that's just too little. I've been so pleased with the quality of Gary's solo projects I had been expecting to find it on the TT album too.
  9. Mark is the lead on Superstar. So far, Hope is the best track for me and it should have been the lead single, imo. 1. Hope 2. Loving or Leaving 3. New Day 4. Giants 5. Superstar.
  10. Loving or Leaving remains my favorite so far.
  11. Loved the Giants performance :) I'm obsessed with the last note on "sky" :) New Day from Wonderland: https://tmblr.co/Z6r4mt2Jncape
  12. Agree with everything. They are still making good music - Loving or Leaving is the proof of that.
  13. Nope, not much better, Jay :( It looks so low budget.
  14. I may be in minority, but I don't understand the Ed Sheeran phenomenon. Regardless, I hope his dominance on the charts will subside a little when TT releases Wonderland. They have the Carpool Karaoke, Red Nose Day lined up for when the album is released - maybe that will help a bit.
  15. I was torn between RTW, BFG and Patience. If it were for my personal taste, I'd have voted BFG or Said It All, but I imagine RTW stands more chances with non-TT fans, so RTW got my vote.
  16. Yes, Gary said there are signed boxsets of Wonderland - well, I remember him saying something about the boxset, I might have imagined the signed part :P I'm worried too about Wonderland :( It seems Ed has sold over 200k in just one day
  17. I don't think you have to chart in a country to be touring it. If that were the case, no international artist would ever come to my country :P Besides, the 2 of them are related - if you don't promote in a certain place, there's little chance you're gonna have success there.
  18. Slowdown, in terms of the album, III is my favorite era as well - I love most of the songs on that album and especially WYBTFM. But, like I said, in terms of promotion and everything else, BW beats it for me. Pippa, I think if we had a poll of worst TT era, at the moment, Wonderland could top it  I'm hoping it can only get better, cause I can't see how it can possibly get any worse- is there something less of 0 promotion? The only saving grace for me, so far, has been the b-side, Loving or Leaving (although I'm still trying to figure out the lyrics :D ).
  19. The drop was to be expected. The song isn't doing so bad on iTunes, but the streaming and lack of promotion are killing it.
  20. A bit of an overreaction from Howard. When there was the whole tax scandal and the media were trashing only Gary, he didn't hurry up to say "it's actually TT's scandal". I can understand that it's unpleasant when the press doesn't report facts objectively, but what if Tim Firth had reacted the same way, when everyone was referring to The Girls as Gary's musical? It's a bit unprofessional and it gives the impression he has something against Gary.
  21. I am a hardcore GB fan, but I'm almost jealous of how well everything is going for The Girls and I wish TT's new album got the same reception. You know it's not good when a musical gets more promotion than a new album. I hope Wonderland delivers, for me at least, just the way The Girls and FN did.
  22. There is seemingly an interview with Chris Evans on March, 31. That's another thing I don't understand - I'd have thought they would throw in all the big guns to promote the album before the release or during the release week, when most of the sales happen.
  23. Agree with MOTTFAN. But even admitting that BBC didn't allow them to perform Giants, there's still no excuse for the lack of promotion through other vehicles.
