What truths did we twist, Elisabeth? Sorry, but never, in my whole life, have I met someone so obsessed with money and success - it seems that these 2 justify everything for you. I've reached the conclusion that you simply don't want to understand: we KNOW that Robbie is famous, we KNOW that he is rich beyond anybody's dreams, we KNOW the stupid papers love him - although you do forget that there have been quite a few clever journalists over time who have highlighted Robbie's poor act and his weaknesses!!. What we're trying to tell you is that we DON"T CARE about any of these. People on this forum are into Take That because of their music - what we discuss here is the quality of their music and, when we discuss chart positions, it's also in relation to the quality of the music. I couldn't care less if they stopped being a commercial success as long as the music they're putting out makes me happy. Gary's Finding Neverland album is far from being a hit with the masses, yet it won't stop being my favorite album just because of this. We all agreed on this forum that Robbie is gonna continue to sell even in his 80s, because he has a strong fanbase. That doesn't mean that we can't discuss the quality of what he's putting out at the moment. And what is putting out at the moment...how do I phrase this delicately?!...sucks! I've admitted I'm nasty towards Robbie. Sorry, I simply can't help it. I believe the guy is an idiot and an attention seeker - the way he behaves on stage, the offensive things he says about other artists, the stupid videos he posts on instagram, the stupid egomaniac lyrics he's writing....the guy has absolutely no endearing quality for me. You say he's a great performer, I say he's a talentless singer who prances about the stage and behaves outrageously in order to distract from the fact that he can't sing. He simply got lucky - there are plenty of people just like him in this world, who have found someone to idolize. "Qui se ressemble s'assemble". I know I'm being harsh, but I won't be a hypocrite and sugar coat what I believe about him. I had actually started to warm up to him a few years ago, but his behaviour in the past 2 years has reminded me of why I couldn't stand him in the first place. And sorry, but for me, having money and success doesn't equal being a successful human being. Having integrity, dignity, principles, setting a good example for others - that's truly succeeding in life! Gary lying about tour dates....wow, he really is a big lying jerk! :) If that's the worst you can come up with about him, then I know I made the right choice :)

Yup, pls don't remind me, Dylan, that my own people have such bad taste in music :P 60.000 people went to see his concert, God only knows why. Here is the full performance on GN show: https://vimeo.com/185084383 The official video gave it a bit of power, but, without it, it's pretty bland and boring - and I really don't see the experimental side Elizabeth is talking about; to me, it just sounds like all his other songs. And is it just me or did Robbie sing to a backing track? You know it's not really good when, after performing on a big show, the song doesn't manage to jump in top 10 on iTunes. PS: Am I the only one who finds Robbie highly hypocritical? I mean he accepted a huge sum of money to perform at some Russian oligarch's party and here he is criticizing Putin or whatever else rich mogul.

You are sooooo right about that :D Elizabeth, you can tell me he has a concert on Mars and I still wouldn't be surprised...well, to be fair, I'd be surprised that the galaxy is populated with so many creatures who need hearing aids, but that's about it :P If I wanted to see someone perform, I'd go see some clowns at a circus, it would be much better. To be honest, Robbie offers absolutely nothing new on stage anymore in terms of performance - I know all his moves by now. I'll stick with old, boring, plain Barlow than with the demonic Robbie. Every time he's on stage, he looks like he made a pact with satan. If I were him, I'd avoid Russia for the next tours...and lifetimes :P I guess he was too coward to address the issues in his own country, so he decided to make a bad parody of another culture. It went oh so well for the French!

I have no idea how TT's next single is gonna perform, but so far, all of their lead singles made it in top 5 on iTunes - even Cry. Robbie hasn't had a single charting well since Candy - from this point of view, TT seem more marketable, cause at least radios still play all of their singles. There's no doubt that he's regarded as a great performer - I may dislike him, but I do realize how many people idolize him. I don't understand why, but I get it that it's a fact and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

There were 2 videos with the full concert, but I can't find them for some reason. I didn't have the patience to look at the whole video, but the bits I saw were more than enough for me :) Robbie is lucky he's got some promo lined up, cause his single is not doing well on iTunes. I think it won't make top 10. PS: The videos have been deleted.

You can skip the first minutes, he's not doing much singing :)

Never said Robbie used auto tune during his Apple concert - on the contrary, I said he sounded awful...precisely because he keeps deluding himself that he can sing. yeah, I know that most of the papers believe the sun shines out of Robbie's...throat. How can they not? A man with the hand in his underwear on stage...gold for papers! But since I made a habit of writing on this forum that most journalists are highly biased imbeciles, I won't start backtracking now :P I like to be consistent :) And yeah, we know: Robbie is loaded with money from all those albums he's selling around the world. If this album is gonna be no 1, he's gonna beat Elvis's record...I guess that makes him better than Elvis, in your eyes?!

There's an electronic sound on Robbie's voice on this song - Mark's voice usually has it too. Whatever it is, it hides his shouting, which is good. On that Apple concert, he was beyond awful. His voice is really ruined, he's very lucky for those backing singers of his. I want a pure sound too. That's why I love so much SISYL, cause you can hear Gary's voice so clearly; a singer's instrument is his voice and if he hides it behind a ton de effects, what's the point?! To be honest, I can't really tell which one I hate most - Hey Boy or PLAR. But considering my point of reference, I don't think it makes much of a difference which one wins :) I'd probably have to compare the instrumental parts on both of them, to be able to make my mind up, cause the lyrics are equally rubbish.

I think Robbie's lyrical fountain may have dried, cause it's samey-samey lately and, tbh, the lyrics in these 2 new songs are as clever as those in Hey Boy- no, excuse me, worse :) The arrangement in Party Like A Russian is a bit catchy, but the song goes nowhere, imo. Glad he finally discovered auto tune, though :P I have no doubt he'll sell well, regardless of what he puts out there - let's face it, his fans aren't gonna fix their hearing all of a sudden :P Bitchy comment ended, I promise :)

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Gary said there would be a tour before summer and then the GH album at the end of the year. I see no reason why they couldn't pull it off. I imagine they would do a GH tour in 2018.

That sort of tour would be a dream come true for me  But nobody is asking them to go to those lengths - I understand that there are people who go to their concerts and want to hear the hits - so, they could do some/most of them and still include 5-6 new songs and change them up with every new tour. We could have had a live performance of a lot of tracks had they included at least 2 of them in each tour set.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I don't particularly like Nigel MS, but the guy did a much better job at promoting TT and their music in the 90s than their current management is doing at the moment. At least Nigel wasn't afraid to take some risks - making them sing BFG for the 1st time at the Brits - and it usually paid off.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I don't understand why they'd be so reticent of singing 2 unheard songs - they have nothing, absolutely nothing to lose. It's not like they're doing a 2 hours concert full of new songs. It's 10 minutes at most - the worst that can happen is that people don't really connect with the song and that's it. But considering how beautiful CMH and WYBTFM are, I see no reason for people not to enjoy them. As much as I love their hits, I simply cannot hear them anymore; they've been done to death.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
No, sorry, but I simply cannot bear to hear one more time Patience, GD, NF, BFG, RTW, Shine or any of the other songs they've performed a zillion times. They should just perform the new single and something they've never sung before. I'd be over the moon with WYBTFM. Why on earth wouldn't they go for it, they have absolutely nothing to lose by performing something else than their usual stuff once in a while?

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Unfortunately, that's how things are at the moment. A top 10 hit would be a success for TT. Unless you're Taylor, Adele, Justin Bieber and a few select others, you have no chance of reaching no 1 in the 1st week of release. Ariana Grande is considered to be a hit with the young audience and her single, Side to Side, has been stalling at 6 on iTunes for some time now. James Arthur was no 1 or 2 on iTunes on the 1st week of his single release, but barely made top 10 in the official chart. If TT manage to get a top 10 hit and a no 1 album, with good sales, I'll be more than happy. Simon might not like Gary right now - well, he never did -, but, from what I know, Gary is really liked by the itv bosses (I bet they'd swap Simon in a second for Gary :P) and that may still count for something. I hope TT gets a slot on XF. I'm not sure a Strictly performance would help sales considerably. Speaking of XF, it's really interesting to see how just one person can make such a big difference. Almost everyone thought that the panel with Gary, Nicole, Sharon and Louis worked and the judges had chemistry; now that Gary has been replaced by Simon, people have started saying that they don't like Nicole anymore (I always said that her likeability was linked to her banter with Gary), that Sharon is almost mute and doesn't interact with anyone (she was very lively and vocal when she was sitting next to Gary); not even the banter between Louis and Simon is that funny anymore. People may have disliked Gary on the show, but he's proving to have been an unifying factor and he set the tone of the show.

Taylor Swift is releasing at the beginning of November, according to rumours. If that's true, Robbie's gonna have major competition. I agree - TT can't afford to lose the 4th quarter sales and the XF promotion. They can keep on promoting on Let It Shine next year, if they want to, to increase sales, but they need to release this year. I don't think the studio time Gary posted about is necessarily linked to the new TT album. Gary is usually in a studio, doing one thing or another. As for Robbie, for his sake, I hope he shows more modesty in the future singles than in this one.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Party Like A Russian- Sept, 30 and Love My Life - Oct, 21. In the past, the single had to be sent to radio 4-6 weeks before release, but, with the new rules, I'm not sure anymore. TT needs a certain period before release for the single to build up some streaming.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Dylan, here you can hear the whole song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DRFploU4so Can't stand Robbie's new single - I got an irrepressible need to vomit after the first lines, when he proclaimed himself "the saviour of the world". The chorus is somewhat catchy, but the rest is cr**. Sorry for the bluntness, but his arrogance is repulsive. Robbie is #40 on iTunes, but that's not surprising. We'll have to see if the single remains stable till its release. If all the pre-orders are placed now and then the single starts slipping, it's doubtful it will achieve a good position on release day.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
   You got that right, Dylan. All I saw when I read that was his image last night with his pants down and the hand in his underwear  But you're right. Rob has a very good management and PR and he knows how to use promotion to his advantage. From what I heard, he has a new collab with Kylie too, which means he has another big name to work in his favor. I think his album sales will be good, probably better than TT's. His 1st single, Party Like A Russian, will be released on Sept, 30 and his 2nd single, Love My Life, on Oct, 21. Maybe TT should consider releasing more singles too before the album.

The Band Musical - Winners of Let it Shine
If he weren't busy with his own antics  So far, we have had stories about him having his teeth picked by the make-up artist during breaks  , winking and blowing kisses at fans...he seems to be enjoying himself :) Plus, there was a hilarious exchange between Gary and Dannii: Dannii confused: "Why are they (the audience) all cheering?", the bast*rd Barlow: "Because I smiled"   You're right. That's what Gary has said, that the story of the musical isn't about TT. But it's all still very confusing about the music part. "The talent show will search for five singers to form a group to star in a nationwide stage show, called ‘The Band’, featuring Take That’s music." “One of the unique things about Glee was the covers of popular songs,” she said. “They became the soundtrack to people’s lives, as well as the characters on the show. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/let-...4b028e52a122660

It's still better than never :P All Gary has said was that there wouldn't be any Vegas shows next year.

The Band Musical - Winners of Let it Shine
What I gathered from all the articles was that, while the musical isn't about TT in particular, it wouldl feature TT's music and the songs would be covers. In her interviews, Dannii Minogue has spoken about how some of the best musicals were based on covers of great songs, which lead me to believe that this musical will be in the same vein. That's why I assumed that people would be singing various covers of TT songs on the show. Otherwise, if the score is original and TT is in no way related to the musical, then I don't really see the need for Mark and Howard's involvement in the show.

The Band Musical - Winners of Let it Shine
It will start airing at the beginning of January. Apparently, nobody has sung any TT song so far :(
