  1. Where's a thumbs up emoticon when you need one?!!! I find it really weird that HDIYL garnered more votes than other singles. There may have been better choices for singles at the time, but it's still a lovely song. I guess I'm in a minority too. Just to clarify: it's not me who voted EC. I voted for Babe and I already explained why. I'm in agreement with all of you that we need revamped versions of EC and most singles. I guess that's why I love Lara Fabian so much - each tour, she offers fans new arrangements of her hits - some work, some not so much, but it shows an willingness to shake things up a bit, instead of always doing the same thing. I liked it when Gary sang that different version of RTW on Concert for care or on BBC Radio 2 - the one with the orchestra. I loved it when they did a tango version of It Only Takes A Minute or the ballad version of CIBM. Unfortunately, these re-arrangements are so scarce you tend to forget they ever happened :(
  2. I guess those who chose HDIYL are not Bee Gees fans either :P
  3. Interesting fact about BFG: it already has over 17 million views on yt, which is quite an achievement for a single that was released so long ago. It has more views than most of their singles released in the yt age.
  4. I like EC in any shape or form, except when it's sung by Robbie. When I said I'd have chosen EC as one of their weakest singles, I was referring strictly to the form in which it was released as a single. Had it been sung then as it's being sung now, it would have never been on my black list :) I especially love the swing version - just like I like the swing version of Sure. But, when I go watch the official video and I hear Robbie's horrible vocals, I wonder how on earth did it occur to them to release that as a single. While I would have also preferred to have the beautiful NE or HBTT as a single, I can't say I dislike HDIYL and I believe it's the best cover of that song to this date - I would go as far as to say that most people believe it's one of those rare cases where the cover beats the original. Besides, the video is so hilarious I could never hold a grudge against the song
  5. This is a tough one. I'm with dylan on this one :) Sure is not exactly a favorite, but I don't get particularly annoyed by it - the videos, especially, make up in humour for what the songs lacks in maturity. I voted Babe, but I was inclined to choose Everything Changes as well. Normally, I like the song (EC), but, if we refer to the single as it was released, I can't stand it - Robbie's awful vocals compete with the 3 notes vocal range of Babe...it's hard to choose :P I'm not too fond of Shine either - again, in the form it was released in!
  6. Now I'm feeling a bit bad about my choice :) But it has to be BFG for me, not because it's their most famous single yet, but because it's the song that made me fall in love with Gary's voice and turned my insides to mush when I heard it again in 2005. For me, it's the one song they haven't managed to match yet and it's the one song that could make them famous worldwide again - unfortunately, I don't think you can get 2 BFGs in one lifetime.
  7. On the sales chart, it was at 63. Better than nothing, I guess :(
  8. I think they spoke about it in an interview and said that Cry would be on Sigma's album, not TT's.
  9. Another week in top 75! #71 - sales+streaming #49 - sales Streaming is really ruining its chances of charting higher :( 22 places down, all because of streaming :(
  10. It's a shame this song isn't promoted properly. From what I've seen, people react very positively after it's being performed and the song made people's delight at Hyde Park. They have a huge hit on their hands and they're wasting it :(
  11. I don't think we'll get to hear WYBTFM live in this lifetime, dylan62 :) I saw many people say that Cry was the highlight of the night. It would be nice if they made it an integral part of their shows from now on. From the videos I've seen, Pray came across very well too, especially the ending - Gary manages to wow me even after all this time  I'm glad you 2 had such an amazing time - maybe you'll get to repeat it next year, on tour :)
  12. I watched it on periscope last night - the signal kept getting lost, but I stayed with it till the end :) I loved that Lulu showed up and that they sang It Only Takes A Minute - that song is so bad it's good  Gary was hilarious when he asked 65.000 people to get down on their knees on Cry  And Said It All sounded sooooo good  The only part I didn't like - but maybe live sounded better - was Everything Changes; I thought the sharing of lead vocals didn't work on that song; actually, I can't even say it was the sharing of lead vocals, it just didn't sound right, but I can't put my finger on what exactly went wrong. Glad you had a fantastic time, Jay! :) Did you think it was better than the Apple gig last year?
  13.    Have an amazing time, both you and Jay! I'm so jealous of you right now :)
  14. Have a great time! ;) I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to read your afterwards impressions. I do have a big honest curiosity for all of you who are going to this kind of events -HP, Glastonbury-: seriously and without any sarcasm, where on earth do you go when you have needs? In a venue, there are always means of access, but, when you're trapped in open field, amongst thousands of other people, do you even make it to somewhere private before need desperately kicks in? :P
  15. Hyde Park is finally sold out for Take That :cheer: I've been reading some articles in the past few days about Beyonce and Rihanna's stadiums being only half full. I'm anything but a fan of those 2, but I know they have a huge following and I would have never imagined they'd have trouble selling out. That made me feel a lot better about our boys :D They may not be able to sell 3 nights in a row at Wembley anymore, but, 25 years into their career, they seem to still be able to sell out a 50.000+ capacity venue at least for one date. Feeling very proud of them at the moment :cheer:
  16. The only time I watched X Factor was when Gary was on it. he was hilarious, especially on Xtra Factor. The banter with Johnny Robinson, with Rylan, with Louis and with Nicole was highly entertaining and the contestants put downs were so witty: "To the left, to the left...all the way to the left, please!" Not to mention that Gary is the only judge to ever pet a stuffed owl
  17. I think Never Forget will keep selling over time - all greatest hits albums usually do. I'd love it if people could rediscover Beautiful World, cause that album is almost flawless.
  18. Simon would love to have the monopoly of all kind of power on this planet :P Unfortunately for him, after Gary hinted yesterday at the new show's format, Cowboy was left looking a fool :D
  19. If Gary had said half of the things Howard ranted about, he'd have been torn apart by the media. Howard and Mark are lucky to be able to feel free to post their views, without having to worry about the media too much. But I have to admit that I grew quite fond of Howard during that post-Brexit week :D And I can't believe we agree on something else again, Kath  Maybe the world is indeed drawing to an end :P I'll check Carol King out, dylan, thank you for the suggestion :) It would be wonderful if, one day, TT would perform Beautiful World live track by track
  20. Since we can only make fun of a sad situation at this point, maybe Howard's political lobby alienated the rest of TT fans  Just joking. It is what it is and maybe some people have indeed lost interest in TT. But that should not stop us from enjoying them for however long they may still choose to perform and, who knows, maybe something will happen that will redirect fans towards them. I hope you have a great time on Saturday and I look forward to reading your review :) I can only applaud those who are going for their courage. 70.000+ people. The only time I got near a crowd like that was when I passing by a stadium full of football teams supporters. When they started screaming and cheering, it was enough for me to run for my life. I find such big crowds frightening
  21. Were the tickets as expensive for the other artists as they are for TT? I think that's the main reason tickets aren't sold out yet: people are reticent to spending so much money on just 1 hour or less.
  22. Didn't know that fact, but that only serves to emphasize my point: Cowell is one big hypocrite.
  23. I think Simon maybe has Alzheimer :P He seems to neglect the fact that American Idol and XF were very very similar, yet Simon Fuller or whoever came with the idea of AI didn't sue him. The guy is truly a megalomaniac.
  24. I'm happy too. Another week in top 50, based on sales alone....I know I shouldn't be making comparisons, but certain artists have their singles out of top 100 in 2 weeks, despite radio support. For Cry to be hanging for so many weeks inside top 50, it's certainly not tragic. If the old charts were still in place, Cry would be considered a decent hit - #21 6 weeks after release...
  25. You're right, Dylan, that performance was days after his dad had passed away :( But it was a very beautiful hommage. Wow, these vote results are pretty close too!
