  1. Well, it's doing well so far. It's #5 on iTunes and I have a feeling it will keep climbing. If this song is weak, we definitely have different tastes.
  2. I wish I could be fairer or at least pretend I care about Mark and Howard missing from this track, but, right now, I love the song so much and Gary's vocals I don't care one bit. I'm in my own bubble :D I don't mind them experimenting some more in the meantime, as long as the next album is cohesive and presents a sound that's mature and not far off from the classic TT sound. I may be the only one who thinks Cry is more of a TT/Gary song than a Sigma song.
  3. As far as I know, TT co-wrote the song. In case my emoticons didn't give it away, I'm in love with the song - and it only took me one listen
  4. :heart-old: :dancing: :music:     The whole song: https://jams.to/embed/?postid=127546&type=singlePost
  5. I actually believe it's a good idea to have a later date set for the download of the single - on the condition, of course, that there be no other way to buy the single till then. Streaming would build up, the song would have time to be playlisted, people would grow to like it. I like it better than the on air on sale strategy. And they need promotion, lots and lots of promotion, otherwise it will all have been for nothing.
  6. I think radios, including R1, will get on board because Sigma caters to the younger audience. Capital playlisted These Days and I think it will playlist Cry too. It would be criminal if they didn't. I haven't heard something so instantly grabbing in a very longtime. And you're right, dylan- gospel was the 1st thing on my mind when I heard the snippet. I'm actually more worried about Sigma fans not being on board with the single than about radios. Two fanbases could easily propel this song to the top of the charts - it's miles better than J Timberlake's song.
  7. There's a snippet with Gary's vocals? :w00t:
  8. Cry sounds nothing like I expected. And I LOVE it. It sounds like an instant megahit. I just hope Gary sings on it as well. I may not have enjoyed the change of lyrics for SATN, but it seems it worked as such too, cause it propelled SATN in top 300 on iTunes and the album has shifted some copies too. I thought the performance was good, once Gary shook the initial nerves, but I'd have liked to see what a performance of the actual song would have done for it. Right now, though, I'm super-excited about Cry. They'd be fools if they let this song flop. They need to promote it everywhere. I think radios will play it without any problem.
  9. Tbh, I was expecting much worse last night. The tax references weren't that numerous, in my opinion. But then again, the haters had something else to cling on to last night: the comparison with Elton :/ I was a bit bothered by the fact that Gary changed the lyrics. I understand why he did it, but he took away half of the beauty of the song. Maybe he should have chosen a song whose original lyrics were appropriate for the occasion and that didn't need tempering with. He did lose weight, but he was very handsome  This week, the boys are shooting the video for Cry. I'm curious who has lead vocals on this single.
  10. I could tolerate Hey Boy as an album track, but definitely not as a single, especially when they had WYBTFM or Carry Me Home. Anyway, I'm a sucker for orchestration, so I enjoy the snippet they've released for Cry, although I know it won't stay as such.
  11. I really hope they don't ruin that piece of orchestration, cause it's beautiful. But I realize that it's gonna be distorted in a dance track :(
  12. I hope, for their sake, that the song is a success and it sells very well. But I'm not mad about dance music and that's where this is heading; I hope we don't get another Hey Boy, cause that would be the end of me :D I like the fact that we have something to entertain us and keep us going till the TT album, but it's the boys' own music I'm interested in. There's one thing I've been mulling over for the past days - if TT can do collabs and can release singles that aren't related to a particular album, why can't Gary? He's obviously too busy to have time for a solo album, but couldn't he release a couple of singles from time to time?
  13. As I said, I only looked on wikipedia, cause I don't know anything about these guys, aside from Glitterball. I saw that they had 3 no ones on iTunes, but that's it. Were those 2 no 1s in UK? Do you know how much they sold? Do they have any form of success outside UK? I read that their last album peaked at 28 - does this mean they're more of a singles artists rather than album artists?
  14. It could very well be. I was astonished by how many youtube views these guys have. If those views translate at least into a fraction of sales, we could be looking at one of TT's most successful singles. Edit: just had a look on Wikipedia and Sigma haven't had any no 1 yet :( This collab may, after all, benefit Sigma more than TT.
  15. dylan62 :) Howard would kill you for that remark  I like Gary, appearance-wise, no matter what, even bald. It's the eyes that draw me to him (aside from his voice, of course). It's really happening: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...with-Sigma.html
  16. Well, it is him :) He was young at some point, you know :D
  17. It's not related to the topic in this thread, but I found an old video and it's so hilarious I had to share it with you: That's the chemistry we all love in TT...and the banter...and the teasing :)))
  18. Gary was so incredibly adorable here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSlV0bDVzhY
  19. I don't get it: who said that that's not Gary? Well, to be fair, Gary has had only one down :) And luckily, he wasn't in the public eye when he went through that stage in his life. But I really loved cuddly Gary when he came back with TT. I actually miss him :)
  20. It could be a wise move, as long as it's done properly, with quality artists who also have a large fanbase. The problem is I can't think of anyone who fits all the criteria. Christina Aguilera's voice could blend well with Gary's and they already know each other. For me, my dream collab would be TT and Lara Fabian, but that won't happen  And, although I'm not an Ed Sheeran fan, I think a collab with him could work well. Aren't Sigma just an UK act?
  21. Dylan, Gary said it at the meeting with the fans last Thursday. It's on the video I showed you, that's where The Sun got its "source" :) Gary was making a case of how important that laptop or whatever it was was for him, because it had over 40-45 songs, including the new TT album :) I'll have to check Sigma past their collab with Ella. That one was pleasant, but I'm not really a fan of dance music. We'll have to wait and see how it works out. It's funny we had this news, cause,, last week, I was debating whether to address in this forum the idea of a collab - if you'd be open to one, who would you like the collab to be with and so on and so forth. As much as I rattle my brain, I can't think of anyone I'd like TT to collaborate with or who would blend well with the group.
  22. Are Sigma a big name in UK? I only heard of them once, when they collaborated with Ella.
  23. eliot kennedy‏@NYCSteelerfan @GaryBarlow is set to perform a new adapted version of 'something about this night' from our hit Broadway show @NeverlandBway for The Queen!
  24. If there's anyone else from Eastern Europe that celebrates Easter today:"Christ has risen!" Inside the Music is no 1 on iTunes :cheer: I read in an article that Gary had said they'd be touring next year - and maybe at the beginning of 2018 too. I hope they don't postpone the whole tour till 2018, cause it will lose all meaning. I don't even know what they're celebrating 25 years of anymore:/
