  1. There's rumours that on Monday we might get the European dates. There's already a list of German dates. Nothing is official yet, but I have a feeling these dates are real: *** BREAKING NEWS - TAKE THAT DEUTSCHLANDTOUR 2015 *** 02.10. Hamburg 04.10. Köln 05.10. München 08.10. Berlin 11.10. Stuttgart https://www.facebook.com/takethatfanclub/po...152977987194098 The sure thing is there'll be European dates in September - October (right from the wolf's mouth): http://www.heart.co.uk/showbiz/movies/take...sman-interview/
  2. I don't think Get Ready will be released as a single anymore :( I like Let In the Sun, but I'd have preferred Get Ready as the 2nd single. However, I would not like to see Flaws or Higher than Higher ditched as the 3rd single in favour of Get Ready. It's a shame they'll do Let In the Sun at the Brits. Get Ready is a bit darker and has a dramatic build-up. Let's see how it does after the Jonathan Ross show. If it does well, maybe the boys will change their mind and perform it at the Brit Awards.
  3. It's official: Let In the Sun is the 2nd (not 3rd) single: http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/l...Gy_rGtM.twitter
  4. I'm hoping the Jonathan Ross show will boost the album sales this month. I'm starting to doubt Get Ready For It will be a single. We already have an approximate date for the release of Let In the Sun, but no date for Get Ready. Somehow, I like this idea. It means we could get a 4th video for the 3rd single, which will hopefully be either Flaws or Higher than Higher.
  5. Maybe they could turn one of the songs on the album into a duet. That would be the best of both worlds - a collab + a promotion of the album. The 3rd single will be Let In the Sun and it will be released in March. That means Get Ready For It will be released in February. It's weird that there's only a month between single releases. It could mean Get Ready For It won't get too much promotion  Or could it mean that Get Ready For It won't even be a single? http://www.reveal.co.uk/lifestyle/news/a62...in-the-sun.html
  6. I don't think we need to drop Robbie's name in every single post or mention how great (and unreal) his sales were. Besides, I still don't see how TT did everything possible promotion wise, when their promotion has been minimum so far and non-existent outside UK. Maybe one of their wives could get pregnant and upload videos of the child's birth B-) Half a million sales are amazing, especially for a group whose image was trashed by the press in the worst way possible. Curious how many albums Robbie would sell if his name had been mentioned as well during the scandal? So, at the end of the day, TT afforded to lose fans. Can the same be said about other current artists?
  7. I see the difference between These Days (27) and Sia's Chandelier (19) is only 1k, which is very little. It makes the 27 spot look not so awful anymore. Take That are also headlining War Child on February, 23. I don't know if that can be considered a promo opportunity, but it's better than nothing.
  8. The article mentions they could be doing Let In The Sun. I don't have anything against them doing this song, but I don't see the logic behind it. Why would they use such a big promo opportunity for a song that won't be a single, as far as we know (yet)? It would make much more sense if they did Get Ready For It.
  9. I think These Days will climb this week. It has been on a sort of roller-coaster the past week for some reason, but it seems to have stabilized now. It seems Take That will perform at the Brits after all. http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/showbiz/take-...williams-going/ The article says that the album was released too late to be considered for this year's nominations, just like Since I Saw You Last last year. I hope that's the case and that they were not snubbed by the Brits.
  10. I'm sorry, but whoever wins now the Best British Group is just a big joke. Not having TT nominated for that category is beyond ridiculous. The Brits have lost all credibility. Anyway, I'd rather TT won another Ivor than a Brit.
  11. I agree. It's ridiculous that Rule the World doesn't get more recognition. It's constantly being played in the background at various singing contests here and, afterwards, I see lots of people asking what song it was. That shows that even a few seconds of the song catch the listener's attention.
  12. Colin Firth will also be a guest on Jonathan Ross, so I guess the boys will be singing Get Ready For It. I still don't understand why they're performing Rule the World tonight instead of tracks from the new album.
  13. You can watch the livestream here, at 6 p.m: https://uk.screen.yahoo.com/kingsman/ The boys will appear on Jonathan Ross on January, 24. Finally! :cheer:
  14. I read in an article that the song is already available for download. I hope that won't affect its release, if people keep buying it meanwhile. It would help if we had a precise release date.
  15. Me too. If given the choice, I'd rather watch a video of a live performance rather than the official video because: 1. the songs reach their full potential when performed live and 2. I really love watching Gary's face when he sings  Get Ready For It was shown on Good Morning Britain. I hope this is the beginning of the promotion for this single. By the way, do we even know when it's released? I like the song even more now, after seeing the video. I don't know why people say it doesn't have the same potential as RTW. I find it just as powerful, if not more.
  16. The over-produced sound is probably Mark's influence in the band. It's the same sound that it's on The Art of Doing Nothing and Mark did say that he likes everything that distorts his voice. On the other hand, if we look at Since I Saw You Last, it's very reminiscent of BW and the sound is so so clear. An Abbey Road version of III would be welcome. Going by the live performances, they could have done with less production on III, because their voices don't need it. The only song the electro sound works really well on is I Like It. That being said, I still enjoy III just a teeny bit more than BW.
  17. Personally, I wouldn't be too open to new members in TT and I don't think many fans would be. TT is more than just a band, it comes with a whole story behind it and I don't see how anyone new would fit in that story. As for them collaborating with other artists, it could work for a track or two, but not for a whole album. Besides, it would have to be mainly male artists, because Gary's voice does not generally blend well with women's voices. There's also the fact that people could start saying that a newfound success would be due to the artists they're collaborating with, the same way some people are now claiming that the success of Progress was down to Robbie. Dignity has to prevail over chart success. The video for Get Ready For It is released this week. Let's wait and see what reception it gets and whether the boys have some promo lined up for it.
  18. As Pippa said, we're fortunate to consider sales of 400k+ low, while Ella and other artists are considered a success with sales under 300k. I still remember the ecstatic news last year when George Michael's album was hitting the no 1 spot with sales under 50k, if I'm not mistaken. Of course Progress sold so much when all the media channels in all the countries were raving about the reunion. It was not even about Robbie, it was the story itself that got people intrigued and pushed them to buy the album. I doubt that a second album with Robbie on it would sell as much. It would probably sell more than III, because we'd have 2 fanbases combined, but not as much as Progress. III is selling within the normal limits for this music age and calling it a flop is more of a projection of one's personal desires than a fact. It's so rare these days to see an artist really passionate about music and Take That really are. Gary's whole live revolves around music and I get the impression Mark and Howard love making music as well. Of course they'd love to be relevant in the charts forever, but they're already at that point in that career where their name precedes them before anything else. As long as they have a small core of fans willing to listen to whatever they put out and as long as they can tour, they'll go on. Out of all the original members, Jason and Robbie were the ones in for success and they have admitted it in one form or another over the years. Jason even went so far as to claim he was doing it more for his family than for himself. The three remaining members enjoy doing what they do and I don't think that their 90s philosophy of going out while they're at the top still applies. In the 90s, Gary was holding all the responsibility for the band's success and that was taking its toll, especially since he was starting his relationship with Dawn and wanted to spend as much time as possible with her. Now that's not the case anymore. They all have happy families and music is more of a hobby than a proper job. I don't think either of them is willing to give that hobby up yet, even if it's not as lucrative as before.
  19. Wow, I had no idea BW had sold more than Progress. It's good news because BW is now my 2nd favorite, after III.
  20. I hope you listened to the live version he did on his tour last year. It's far more impressive than the album version. And you can watch for him rubbing his legs on the chair to check if it's still there :) (courtesy of the dvd commentary).
  21. I think their 2nd single is too good for them to let it flop. I'm still not over the fact that the promotion of Face to Face was such a mess. Get Ready for It and whatever the 3rd single is deserve proper promotion in order to become hits, not just buzz singles meant to boost the album sales. To me, Get Ready For It sounds like a potential big hit, especially if it's coupled with the movie release.
  22. Glad to see I'm not the only one still enjoying 12M 11D. Even if Gary says it's not representing him, I still like it. Lie to Me is a little gem that could be a classic if the great public knew about it and Walk and Fast Car are still amongst my favorites. That album was never given a fair fighting chance. I'd love it if Gary decided one day to release a compilation of his solo work and released Lie to Me as a single. As for III, the boys really need some more promo. I'd have thought they would have been invited on Alan Carr or Jonathan Ross by now.
  23. Yes, they're pretty expensive. It depends, of course, on the artist as well, but they can range from 75 euros to even 200 euros. That may not seem much in UK, but, in Romania, a normal person has around 200 euros salary per month, so a concert ticket is a luxury. TT's album was a luxury too :) That's why I said we get excited about concerts, because it's a challenge to save the money for a ticket and, when we do, we feel like we gave ourselves a real treat.
  24. They have never come to Romania, that's why I was hoping next year would be our chance to finally see them. For most of the fans here it's practically impossible to travel to UK to see them, so we're hanging onto our last hope right now. All this talk about this being their last album and not touring Europe anymore is really depressing for a nuttie like me :P Artists don't usually have problems filling up venues here, especially international artists, because we regard such concerts as real treats and we get quite excited when they occur.
  25. Since when are European tours dependent on album sales? If that were the case, 90% of the artists wouldn't be touring most of the countries. Even the most unknown bands can fill a 4000 seats venue in Romania; I'm pretty sure Take That wouldn't have a half full venue. One of my favorite artists is selling basically nothing here album-wise, but sold 2 nights in a row without the slightest problem and loved it so much that she returned to perform here last year. The same for many other singers. There's just no need for us to buy music when we can get it for free. I only buy TT's albums off Amazon because I'm a hardcore fan and I like to have my collection. As for the album chart position, it's only so low because the albums in top 10 weren't full price. Had III sold for 4-5 pounds as well, it would have probably been in top 5.
