iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 11th September 2015

Other Radio Playlists
Everything he touches seems to turn to gold over here though (Somebody #2, Don't Tell Em #5, Freak of the Week #9) and even if it is awful, Tori needs to get some hype over here, desperate for her album to do well and not do a Charli XCX/Marina/Tove Lo type run

Radio 1 Playlist 14-09-15
I'm the complete opposite, haven't heard ATW once on the radio and only heard it once before last week, and now it's on a constant loop. Somebody I thought was more generic and a bit too "Mustard" even if he didn't produce it :P Agreed they need to playlist 679 though, couldn't stand Trap Queen or Again, but this is a proper banger

US Billboard 200 - 09/19/2015
I too have to admit that I am surprised by Halsey's success, I thought she'd do similar to Tinashe and Ciara's recent albums, debut in the lower regions of the top 20, then disappear mysteriously never to surface again. However, like the former two albums, Badlands is stunning, and I have to admit it's one of my favourite albums of the year. Not quite sure how it will sell in the long run, but the first-week sales give me hope it could pass 500,000 eventually and go Gold The Weeknd was always going to sell huge numbers in his first week, we knew that much as soon as CFMF was released and began to rise, though long term might be a different matter. It will easily cross 1,000,000 but I can't see further than that And OH DEAR at Carly Rae Jepsen, 16-64 in one week, out of the top 150 next week I presume... whoops... then again, Bon Jovi haven't done much better, going 13-62, and I actually thought they'd sell some, considering their last three albums have all gone to #1 with their last two debuting with 101,000 and 163,000. I admit Burning Bridges isn't a "proper" studio album as some call it, but that's a woeful performance from them.

Predict: Lana Del Rey - Honeymoon
Think: #1 Want: #1 Sales: 33.9k? :P It's going to be ridiculously frontloaded, and even as a huge Lana fan myself I haven't seen much hype around the album (apart from her fanbase, where there's actually more than there was for Ultraviolence) but the thing with Lana is that I don't think she's ever seemed that fussed about commercial success, or at least not as much as some artists  Ultraviolence didn't sound like she was making it to be a hit album with hit singles, whereas Born To Die was full of single-worthy music written for the charts, and from what I've heard so far Honeymoon sounds more similar to Ultraviolence than Born To Die. But no... this won't be hanging round very long in the charts, but will be frontloaded enough to get her to number 1... I think... ;)

18. Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams Not that I expected this to be a huge hit or anything, but if it doesn't move up a bit more then it's not going to go much higher than #35/#36 on the official chart

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 4th September 2015
The World Is Not Enough is by far my favourite, and A View To A Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies & Goldeneye follow as the next best The Man With The Golden Gun and For Your Eyes Only are pretty damn awful

87. XYconstant - Do It Well  This is easily one of my top 5 songs of the year, simply sublime, better than anything on Years and Years album (which is good, but lacks something)

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
For those who are lazy and can't be asked to scroll through the update :P Ella Eyre is at 19 with Feline Taylor Swift is at 38 with Wildest Dreams Troye Sivan is at 3 with the WILD - EP and at 62 with the title song Carly Rae Jepsen is at 67 with Run Away With Me Foxes is at 89 with Better Love Have to say, as much as I love Foxes and almost everything she's put out, this song is very weak and probably the worst of hers so far, unfortunately :(

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
Ah of course, forgot how close it was, suppose it's not that much of a catastrophe then, but still, was expecting her to go top-5 based on pre-orders alone, but prior to it entering the top 200 or so, I had it down for a No.11 smash

iTunes, Weather & Justin Bieber W/C 28th August 2015
I knew it wasn't going to do very well, but I still expected it to be top 100 after a couple of weeks

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
Have to say, I'm disappointed with The Weeknd's sales, thought he'd be close to 50k for the week based on Pre-Orders and hype. The same could be said for Demi, crashing down from 3 to 5 in one day. On the other hand, I'm thrilled that Ella looks to be potentially grabbing a top 5 album, and definitely a top 10!

Nick Jonas - Levels  Nick Jonas deserves that floppage, it really is a bit of a non-song, however I'm shocked that Blonde hasn't performed better, it's easily their best song to date! Ew at Hozier, Macklemore & R.City climbing Shoutout to Carly for climbing :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Friday Chart Predictions (Thurs Update + Top 5 Sales)
It would be astonishing if she could sell more than 13,731 (The sales for Good Times last week) but would welcome it gladly! Her first week sales for her singles are noted below Together 29,000 Comeback 27,081 If I Go 23,291 Good Times 13,731 If she can score anywhere in the region of 15k that would eclipse Tove Lo, Marina and Charli's first week sales considerably (The artists I thought she'd have similar album success to)

Naturally, I mean I could be completely and utterly wrong, but it's just been added to the A-List on R1 starting this week, and it's impact date is the 4th according to the release schedule. I personally hate the song, but I just have a feeling it's one of those that the public will like. Don't quote me on that though :P
