The X Factor 2017 • Guest Performers & Chart Boosts
He's already featured on 7 songs this year (admittedly only a couple have charted) and released 6 as a lead artist, yet the only one I can remotely stand is his collab with Era Istrefi

80's classics that flopped in the UK
I'm astounded that 'Let The River Run' failed to make an impact here, or even in the states, though it did of course receive an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy. I always imagined it to have performed similar to 'Nobody Does It Better.'

The X Factor 2017 • Guest Performers & Chart Boosts
Have to say I'm surprised that Louisa Johnson didn't make an appearance or even release anything in Q4 (as of yet)

Worst number one, perhaps. Worst single? 'Ain't Got Far To Go' says hello

The X Factor 2017 • Guest Performers & Chart Boosts
Well Matt Terry was a given, even if I expected him to be the week after, but Fergie? I mean don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic that Fergie is getting some UK exposure after the album flopped big time, but seriously? hoping she performs 'You Already Know' but she might've moved on to 'A Little Work' now given that it's been announced as the next single in the US. Edit: Getting my weeks muddled

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2017
I too am (pleasantly) surprised that Kelsea is doing as well as she is, I thought she'd be around the 40's by the point. I'm intrigued to see how Maroon 5 will do over the course of the week. The singles have done fairly well but the album overall is very bland and they don't really seem to have a huge fanbase. 'V' debuted at #4 with 16,917 in September 2014, but went on to sell over 200,000. I'd be surprised if this held up anywhere near as well. Emeli Sande's new EP at #31. It has 6 tracks and a run time of 26:30 so should be chart eligible, though the fact it's download only should stop it from debuting anywhere near the top 40

New Release Schedule: Friday 6 October
Eminem vs Taylor, now that would be an interesting chart battle
-
OCC: Demi Lovato's Top 10 Best Sellers
Neon Lights peaking at #15 and being outsold by Really Don't Care which peaked at #92 from the same era... ouch

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2017
I'd be ecstatic if Betsy could go top 40, but we're probably looking at top 75 given how busy the week is. Honestly couldn't say if Shania or Wolf Alice will be number one, but Miley and Demi should be in the mix somewhere between #3 and #7, with Ed, Foo and Killers making up the numbers by the end of the week.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2017
1. The Killers (also #3) 4. Enter Shikari 5. Macklemore 8. Mastodon 9. Van Morisson 10. The Fizz 11. The Horrors 12. Fergie 15. Sleeping With Sirens 28. Kristene DiMarco 29. Reverend & The Makers 31. LIGHTS 32. Marc Almond 33. Jhene Aiko 35. Kolsch 38. Cradle Of Filth 39. Kygo 43. The Bronx 45. Tricky 49. Godspeed You! Black Emperor 52. Hannah Peel 89. Chelsea Wolfe Have to say I'm surprised Fergie isn't top-10 yet, and Macklemore has managed to go top-5, given how poorly his last album fared

I have to agree with this! I'm assuming it'll be more R&B than Pop but that's it

Oh so it was, I thought it had been out longer :D My mistake, she can still salvage this, though I can see her album faring similarly to Foxes (ie. a Silver selling top 10 debut album and a sophomore album which has 3 weeks in the top 100 never to be seen again.)

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 25th August 2017
163. Ella Eyre ft. Ty Dolla Sign - Ego By this point I thought she'd at least be able to hit the top 150, but I guess it's not a complete write-off just yet

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2017
As much as I want PVRIS to go top 5, I think somewhere between 8 and 12 is more likely

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th August 2017
Cardi B is just outside the top 100, and debuted at #96 on the singles chart this week. If this manages to get traction it could easily go top 40 in the coming months, it's already top 10 in the states and predicted to be heading for the top 5 this week.

New Release Schedule: Friday 11 August

Q3/4 Predictions 2017
On the albums front... I can see Taylor hitting #1 in the album chart around October then dropping and staying in the top-5 for a good couple of months around the Christmas period Fifth Harmony and Camila will both debut around #10, then drop drastically and last 3/4 weeks in the top 100 The Script will nab #1 but tail off quickly Foo Fighters & The Killers will debut at #1 and stick around for a few months in the top 40 Shania Twain will underperform massively, maybe even missing the top 10, as there's been no hype with the album or singles Sam Smith will, as has been mentioned previously, be this years Emeli Sande Liam Gallagher and Miley will most likely stick around in the charts up until Christmas Rita will pull a Zara Larsson with the album, miss the top 5 but hang around the lower regions for a while Avril Lavigne will come back and miss the top 10, disappearing after a couple of weeks Christina Aguilera will push her album back another couple of years Ella Henderson will come back and hit #1 Eminem will have one of the biggest selling albums of the Christmas period (if he releases as is predicted) George Ezra will flop completely Louisa Johnson will perform similarly to Fleur East, who will also attempt to relaunch herself and flop P!nk and Paloma Faith will be hanging around the top 10 for months and months Zayn and Liam will hold back until 2018
