Very fun to see who’s behind the competition. I would never in a million years have guessed Nadia Oh was seven. I also thought Jade was 100% Rosalia! I always tell Liam about how much I hate The Chicks but I must admit that Not Ready to Make Nice and Top of the World were both gorgeous discoveries. Even if I didn’t like the rest, well done on partially winning me over Herbs. In another world, I’d have loved to have been behind Twigs. She’s one of my favourites and also one of the greatest gigs I’ve ever been to in my life. I can’t wait for her upcoming tour dates in June, I will be there!!!

I actually had no idea Nicole Scherzinger was on my song until now, despite thinking myself it sounded very PCD. I can’t unhear her on the ad libs now! As Bre says, the streams are so low that it can’t be that cheap though. I don’t know many entries this month in advance (only Mothertopia and Ojnoj) so hopefully plenty discoveries to make!

I saw her in Manchester last week and she was even better than I expected! It’s just such a party from start to finish, it’s easy to forget how many well-known bangers she actually has but the crowd was eating it up. “Red Flag” was my highlight! The mic was ON as well !!! (with signature autotune tho ofc)

6/12 finalists being groups here is proof of what we’ve all been saying about the groups being the toughest competitors. I’d never have predicted that category to bring it so hard every week but it’s been awful losing anyone from that category over the weeks. It’d be cool for the returner to be from that category. I’m most sad about Conan and Twigs going home there so I’m hoping they make great choices in the next round so they’re in with a chance of saving. Both artists are underrated but have been doing a great job of showing off their best and managing to compete against some real heavy hitters. Kesha vs Kelly was hardest choice so I’m surprised to see it was such a landslide. I went for Kelly but I got to hear TikTok over the weekend live and it’s also such a 10/10. Lily Allen vs Haim is the biggest shocker for me. It seems like a real David vs Goliath on paper so the latter has done well to survive that. Good weekend for Alana Haim between surviving this and featuring in last night’s Best Picture winners at the Oscar’s. I expect Lily Allen to come back in the next round though and still be in with a good chance of winning, probably against Kelly Clarkson in a finale. I’m betting on her to outlast her competitor here. Oh and I like making discoveries so I’m happy to have more than one comeback. That’s my vote. Decisions…decisions…!

I’m worried for Atomic Kitten here , I wonder if the Chicks can continue to defy the odds and just about slip through another round. I’ve always loved that Haim track!! And it’s nice for a song to get a bit of love from a different era of theirs. That Corrs song is my fave of all their songs too. Smashing choice!!!!!!

Picking between the Conan choice and the Troye choice is like a Sophie’s Choice to me!!! Going to have to sit on that for a while. Both are sooo underrated within the artist’s discographies.

Yay for ‘After Midnight’ and ‘Red Flag’ both getting picked after I said I wanted them last round. Chappell has done very well to keep her big hitters to the side for later on. I wonder if she could be win competitive because of that?!
