Yet another contest where my back-up choice beats me 🙈 So mad to see how few votes Avery Cochrane got compared to the competitors around it but how huge each vote it received was. I had an inkling it'd do well though! That's why I wanted it for myself. 😛 Two back-to-back bookies faves for Ajanaeda and two back-to-back fifth place finishes. What are the odds of that! We've never had two top tens in a row though so we're chuffed with that. Thanks everyone who voted for Nuovo in this edition. We hope some people made a discovery from it even though they've done well with other songs in other contests on the forum. I haven't had a chance to read through yet but thank you for hosting, Dandy. It's been fun to visit Fljotavik! and I'm happy with the winner too. It really was a beautiful song that builds impeccably. It grew on me even further from semi final to final.

It was such a moment with her niece appearing on stage. I haven’t watched the visualisers yet but I imagine it’s the same sentimental vibe. It was one of my faves of the night ! They did a really cute little dance routine together.

Yes, that’s right! I knew I’d be obsessed with it since that night and it definitely my fave of the new ones. I think it sounds like a hit and would’ve made a great single!!! I agree about the sequencing of the album being frustrating though. It’s all too easy to just jump straight to track 7 to hear all the newbies. I feel as though I’ve been spamming this album since yesterday but the six pre-release singles haven’t added a single play on my last.fm… oops!

Lost my 12!!!!! That hasn’t happened in ages!!!! Hushkanukia robbed!!! I also rarely vote for Persephonia so ofc it’s a DNQ when I they’re in my top five in the semi :’) So shocked at Botanikka too as all the comments seemed to be predicting it a high finale finish. I didn’t vote for that one but I hate to see a Q streak cut down like that :(

Sum Ting Wong maybe having the worst All Stars showing of all time? I’ve only seen the English queens on this before so I’m enjoying seeing a lot of international queens highlighted. I’m finding Khianna slay but I don’t like any of her runway or challenge looks so she’s only half there for me. Arizona Brandy is my runaway fave!! She’s hilarious and looks great!!! I hope she wins. All the Filipino girls seem way better than the rest though, lol.

It’s very rare that the final results line up with my opinions so much, so I’m really happy with that. Top five finish for us too!! Yay!! I’m glad so many liked the ABBA-esque sound of ‘Moviestar’. Huuuuge points total for ‘Infohazard’!!! I know there were talks of a few contenders but that’s a one horse race like no other. Thanks for hosting Silas. I enjoyed the unique way of revealing results. Everyone brought their A-game to this contest which made it a great one to be part of and us doing well is the cherry on top.

yeah this is a miss for me too, i never enjoyed the reworked production on the future nostalgia remix album so all the big names involved turned out to be wasted opportunities. i have rarely gone back to this in last five years whilst levitating in its original form and dababy form continues to be one of my most played songs ever!

I didn't love the ending. The film definitely has moments of humour throughout but it's never trying to be more funny than it is scary. Then the final five minutes before the credits roll is mostly played for laughs which seems out of sorts with most of the rest of the movie. Yes, it’s a fun ending! … but I can’t help but be a bit disappointed that I sat there in pure dread for 110 minutes for it to end like that. The audience were really chuckling along in the final few scenes and then suddenly the credits roll.

Aside from my own, I'm only familiar with the entries from Mothertopia and Hendinia. Both massive pop bops !!!! Glad to see some hype for the former which has been an iconic fave for many years.

I can’t remember the exact wording but it was introduced as something she’s gonna release around the album, so it sounded more like it’d get a push than it just being an album track. If that makes sense, sorry I don’t remember exactly what she said. It was the only one she recorded separate for telly after the radio broadcast was finished so one would assume it’s getting a push x Thanks Jonjo!

It was, but I’ve avoided all leaks. Spoilers She says the studio version interpolates her singing the chorus as a little girl, so she brought her eight year old niece on stage to be the Little Jade for the night. Such a sweet heartfelt moment!!! Idk how to spoiler on the new site, sorry. A mod can edit this post if need be.

Yous HAVE to check out the BBC Proms stuff, all the orchestral arrangements with her vocals are GORGEOUS. We’ve just got home from seeing it live and really feel like we got to see something special. My highlights were: Her cover of ‘Frozen’ which doesn’t really do it for me in studio form (when the Madonna original exists) but it sounded exquisite with all the strings ‘Fantasy’ which featured some of her best vocals and the mix of high notes/orchestral instruments was like entering sonic heaven. ‘Remember My Name’ which was a lovely ode to another iconic Geordie (Sam Fender, of course) and it was endearing to see her get so emotional as it clearly meant so much to her. ‘Angel of My Dreams’ which you could tell they really worked hard to make the orchestral version sound special and get the most out of all the instruments. Really cool to hear the instrumental they created to back Jade up on this. It was lovely to see her talk so much about her love for the North East. I can’t wait to see the filmed version on the BBC later in the year because you could tell everyone in the room regarded her as a local hero. After the radio broadcast was over, she came back out to perform her next single which will be cut into the telly version. As a huge Diana Ross/Supremes fan, I thought it sounded amazing. I don’t know how I’ll wait a couple months from now to hear the studio version. The story she told to introduce it was so emotional too so I can’t wait for yous to hear that alongside it.

I agree with Dandy that it's a step in the right direction again but it has fallen off a lot since the first two seasons. It's starting to become a bit of a chore forcing my way through it. I don't ever remember there being this many montages either. It gets boring! On the one hand, there are some great character-driven episodes like Sydney and her cousin but then there's issues like Tina's whole arc this season which is making pasta in under three minutes. Surely they could find something better to do with her. The Fak's being constantly babied is also irritating, and I'm getting sick of Carmy/Claire and their inability to open up. Richie has grown so much and his scenes are always a delight. It's all a mixed bag. I'm kind of hoping they'll announce that it's been renewed for S5 (and maybe S6 at a push) and then those to be announced as the final seasons.

The merch is awful. Why have we strayed so far from a nice photo of Gaga, a nice font, and a cool design for the dates on the back?
