ROUND 1: free choice 'Slide Away' (2019) rrvFv6j3-sM Released two years ago, off the back of the 'She Is' EP plan being scrapped, comes one of Miley's most underrated moments. Slide Away was another minor hit for her in both the UK Official Chart (#40) and the US Billboard Hot 100 (#47). It is one of her most open tracks describing her break up from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth and the reasons for them drifting apart. I'd go as far as to say that it has one of the most gorgeous outros in recent pop music - it's up there with SZA's 'Good Days', for me. I listened to what you guys said and for now I think we'll save our big two for later on. You better all pull through and vote for it now! We're up against some tough competition and some outright uptempo bangers but I'm hopeful that 'Slide Away' can hold its own.

My mind is all over the place with this one now! Unfortunately with only 5 rounds where it is possible to send singles, we're not going to be able to send all of the suggestions above but I hope you're happy with what we end up going for :wub:

I had Party in the USA, Midnight Sky & Malibu down as potentials for Round 2 too if that helps give an idea to anyone. I personally adore the Younger Now era so it'd be nice for it to have SOME representation.

Plus one for Kemosabe and Distant Past! Cough Cough too :wub: I'd love to see Regret too if there's a spot. It's probably my fave EE track of all x

I didn't think of Unholy beforehand but I've shortlisted that in a future round too. I didn't really think of any of the She Is Coming 'album' tracks but they'd be fun. Perhaps Cattitude deserves a time to shine. Here for all the Slide Away love... I thought it might be a bit too chill to make a big impact but defo a shout for a free choice round at some point!

I had three thoughts for round 1... Let me know what yous think! Either we start the competition with a bang and go with one of our big hitters (Midnight Sky or Wrecking Ball - and save the other for Round 8, perhaps) OR start off with an early-ish Miley song so we can use some of her first bops before we get to her later big hitters in the netxt rounds (I'm thinking See You Again?!)

This is the same for me. It's how I really got into the Carpenters in the last year with their Gold album which is such a gorgeous selection of songs. I don't think I'd ever play a greatest hist from an artist I know well though... There's always too many snubs and fan favourites that I'd miss out on listening to!
