Miley Cyrus - Plastic Hearts
Gutted there is no Vinyl, I bought the CD to support Miley, but I really hate CD’s!

Sweet Melody • 3rd Single
I’ve downloaded all the remixes and the NOW version. Sweet Melody is #6 on Amazon Music Unlimited and #10 on Amazon Music Prime and is the highest non-Christmas song on both. Positions is #27 and #20. Hopefully that helps with the gap on Spotify.

Harry Styles - Golden
Hallucinate posted a post in a topic in Harry Styles and One Direction's Harry Styles and One DirectionIt started at #41 on Monday last week and was #29 by Friday, so hopefully a similar boost this week.
-
Sweet Melody • 3rd Single
Sweet Melody is currently #1 on Amazon Music. I mean... If they can get Ellie Goulding the Christmas number one, why can’t they make Little Mix number one this week

Harry Styles - Golden
Hallucinate posted a post in a topic in Harry Styles and One Direction's Harry Styles and One DirectionHope this can sneak a week or two in the top 20. 5 top 20’s from one album would be incredible.

Sweet Melody • 3rd Single
Amazon Music #4 Apple Music #4 YouTube #5 Spotify #10 Should be another easy week in the top 5.

Let You Love Me | 4th Single
Such a great song. It’s so strange how Rita appears to be back in the pop wilderness after scoring so many hits with her last album. I guess we are just not used to popstars taking big breaks these days. Usually there is always features etc to keep fans interested.

Kylie ● UK Chart Runs & Sales
I cannot believe the sales of ‘Slow’ are so poor, I’d say it’s one of her signature songs, she always performs it on tour, you would think that would have boosted it. Hopefully the Greatest Hits has benefited its sales over the last year. There can’t be many 2000’s number 1’s not certified Silver?

UK Chart Information - Singles & Albums
‘Break the Ice’ feels like her most forgotten single, along with ‘Do Somethin’ I would be surprised if ‘Break the Ice’ was anywhere near 180K, but stranger things have happened.

Radio 1 to play edited version of Fairytale of New York
Personally the use of that word in the song doesn’t bother me. However I do think it should be censored and should have been 10+ years ago, it signals to a new generation each year that it’s OK to use that word. Sadly, most straight people are unable to have a sensible conversation about this, that word being kept in the song is seen as some sort of win for the free speech brigade.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 13th November 2020
Save Your Tears by the Weeknd is #110 - does anyone know why?
-
Holiday • 2nd Single
I don’t think Confetti will be a single now, it will eventually go onto ACR and it’s already been added to Hot Hits UK, which is almost impossible to be re-added to once you’ve been on once.
-
Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky
I’m so proud that out of everywhere, it’s the UK that latched into this and made it the hit it deserves to be. The Dua collab is obviously going to be huge here too.

The UK Radio & TV Airplay Charts
Wow, Radio is showing taste (Excluding Lewis Capaldi). It really has been Dua’s year. Stupid Love #1 for 5 weeks is just so random.

DISCO ● 15th Studio Album
I know it doesn’t really matter, as Kylie is an album artist these days. But, the playlists on streaming have been particularly harsh this time, no sign of any Kylie songs on “The Pop List” (Spotify) or A-List Pop (Apple Music). Kylie had a couple of songs on both playlists when Golden was released.

Levitating • Fifth Single
Diamonds is #26 Levitating is #61 I don’t know if Diamonds being ahead on Amazon makes up for it lagging on Spotify, as I think Amazon is one of the bigger streaming services.
-
Levitating • Fifth Single
Levitating is #12 on Apple Music and #11 on iTunes, a new peak for both (I think)

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
A post-album hit? The album has been out a week.

Levitating • Fifth Single
Also Amazon Music Levitating is #95 (solo) & #68 (DaBaby) Holy #12 Diamonds #24 34+35 n/a It’s going to be very close this week. Everyone download and stream!

Confetti • 6th Album
Nothing But My Feelings is there worst song, Gloves Up is a 2013/14 mess. Sweet Melody and Happiness are career highlights though, so I can forgive the crashing low’s.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
Good. Save the Christmas songs for December.
-
Sweet Melody • 3rd Single
I think it will be 12 or 13 by the end of the week and then climb to a new peak next week. It’s genuinely doing well, so the breakdowns are not required for once.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
Interesting week then, obviously a strong showing for Ariana - will the songs have a big drop tomorrow though. Hoping for Sam and Dua top 10 this week.

Which Confetti formats have you/will you pre-order?
I’ve ordered the Splatter vinyl & iTunes - the first Little Mix album I’ve ever bought.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
Post-album singles are dependant on playlist support, like any song. Harry has been lucky 4/5 singles so far have been added to Today’s Top Hits, which is the biggest playlist on Spotify. If Spotify gave the same support to post-album singles as it did to new music, there is no reason every album couldn’t have 5/6 singles per era, when people listen to a playlist they don’t care if the song is pre or post album. Hopefully the success of Harry and Dua’s album campaigns will encourage labels to push more post album.
