  1. Hi @Jay. Are you planning to do an update on the 1st page figures and certifications anytime soon? Many of them are not updated considering the recent certifications and new sales figures we've had these past months. Thanks in advance.
  2. When they explained what happened to weird Barbie. The scene where the little girl cuts her hair, paints her face, split her legs, etc. "Spice Up Your Life" is the soundtrack to that scene for like 40 seconds. Not in the background but completely present.
  3. Damn... Someone got a little creative with his discography page on Wikipedia, then... 'cos those I mentioned are "Silver" there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_David_discography The source was BPI and I didn't check... I assumed they were real. I know singles market was pretty dead in 2002-2004, but still shocking to see some of his Top 10 songs selling less than "16"...
  4. Many things in that Top 20 make no sense. It's said to be a Top 20 of sales + streaming combined... "Heartline" or "I know you" (which are not certified Silver yet) are above in that chart of "Rendezvous", "Hot Stuff" or "One More Time". Songs that were certified Silver for more than 200k copies sold long time ago. Even worse, "Spanish", "Hidden Agenda" or "All the Way" are not even in that Top 20 despite being Silver as well, but then songs not certified, and even the #64 peaking song "16" is there... That Top 20 is obviously his 20 most streamed tracks. Not sales+streaming combined. I tweeted the guy who wrote the article and he was like "I wrote the article myself and it's correct", but it obviously isn't.

I read the Twitter response yesterday, before any link was available, and I was expecting the worst performance ever... I just watched it and it was not bad at all for me... Only Vanessa's mic much louder than the rest, but it was OK. Not off key or terrible as I read... Well, we know how Twitter works. I don't think those people were going to buy the album anyway... At least it has helped a bit on iTunes and maybe there won't be such a big drop next week.
  6. Do you REALLY expected the Sats to do better than 6 and 10??? Cause that's either delusional or a bit of trolling to make it look worse than it is. Physicals of the single must be big considering it has peaked at 18 on iTunes and streaming is included now... I was expecting 18 or so at best today. It will sure fall throughout the week, but I hope it can stay top 20. And regarding the album, 6 is better than I expected too. Some of you talking about "all those editions and the copies from the tickets" as if they were free (they're not) or as if thousands of fans will buy all versions... And that's not how it works. If the album remains top 10 and the single top 20 comes Sunday, I couldn't be happier, considering the absolutely zero airplay and their current situation...

"There are three new entries on this week’s Official Singles Chart Update Top 40: Lady Gaga’s re-recording of her 2013 single Do What U Want, which sees Christina Aguilera replacing original collaborator R Kelly, debuts at Number 9 today. The pair premiered their new duet during the live final of the US series of The Voice at the end of last month." http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/p...-and-keha-2719/ WTF? Are they going to considere this as a new entry now? That would be a MESS.

Is Living for the Weekend still Top 40 today? Thanks

But what about the copies from people who download just the track and have not pre-ordered the album? Why don't count those ones? Obviously, most of DWUW downloads would be from the album pre-order, but maybe a... 30%? could be proper downloads... Are those copies wasted?
  12. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
That rule is unfair... You don't get a song from free. You're charged NOW for that song you get automatically and then you're charged for the rest of the album when it's released... It's a paid download that should be counted.

Why is Gaga's DWUW not chart eligible????? Many other songs you get automatically with your pre-order have charted before.... I read somewhere that OCC allows 2 songs from each album from pre-order, that's why Katy's WOA was not allowed to chart after Roar and Dark Horse... But this is her 2nd song, not 3rd... Don't get it.

SUGABABES - OVERLOADED - THE SINGLES COLLECTION 2 x Platinum Certification (Album) 22 July 2013 UNIVERSAL MUSIC (ISLAND) Released 13 November 2006 Certification History: Platinum Certification 08 December 2006 Gold Certification 24 November 2006 Silver Certification 24 November 2006 Now, BPI will certify songs and albums automatically. But I guess they have not fully updated all their database yet... They still got C&S certified Silver but last known figure was 120k... And TIMW will have definitely passed 900k by now, so it should be 3xPlat, not 2.

New certifications on BPI website: SUGABABES - ABOUT YOU NOW Gold Certification (Single) 22 July 2013 UNIVERSAL MUSIC (ISLAND) Released SUGABABES - GIRLS Silver Certification (Single) 22 July 2013 UNIVERSAL MUSIC (ISLAND) Released SUGABABES - PUSH THE BUTTON Gold Certification (Single) 22 July 2013 UNIVERSAL MUSIC (ISLAND) Released Now, apparently, BPI will certify songs and albums when they reach the amount, not when the record company applies for it. It's an automatic certification service. But I guess they have not fully updated all their database yet... 'Get Sexy' and 'Hole in the head' should have definitely passed 200k by now and should be Silver too. (They were in the same range of Girls (180k) last time we got figures 4 years ago....)

Wow! Stil Top 10 for Mel! Glad for her. Their sales must be huge at other digital stores, as they've been 15-16 since Wednesday on iTunes...

Oh, 52k a year ago? So OYR is definitely at/close to 60k now. If only Fascination would certify their albums and singles... (Headlines, Higher, AFU and now maybe OYR too)
