735,809 albums sold according to Music Week today. With sales from the 1st page here we get 625k. Maybe we can estimate something like... Chasing Lights: 365k Wordshaker: 95k Headlines: 220k On Your Radar: 55k I think Wordshaker must be very close to 100k and On Your Radar to 60k, maybe a couple thousands away each. I just hope Fascination get to certify Headlines once and for all, and maybe Wordshaker could be certified Gold and OYR Silver.

3.6 million records sold in the UK according to the OCC article published today. http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/a...-1-single-2121/ If we add figures "to date" for singles and albums from this thread we get 3.3 million... So almost 300k missing sales. Hope we could get updated figures for all releases!

This week I went to London and saw a nice book, OCC official material, "Virgin Book of British Hits Albums", 2009, by Martin Roach, ISBN-10: 0753517000 , with peak position, weeks on chart and certification of every album ever charting in the UK (till mid 2009, I think). Well, Taller in more ways was certified 3xPlatinum, not 2, according to this book (which I completeley see normal, as last known figure is 887,264). And, according to the book, "Catfights and Spotlights" was Gold, not Silver. (Last known figure is 122,326). BPI website has LOTS of albums under certified or non certified at all but then we've seen MusicWeek publish the updated and real certifications, etc. Anyone knows if this book is correct and those 2 albums are in fact officialy certified 3xPlat/Gold respectively??
  4. Mariah up to #166. Top 100 here we go.

#64?? OMG! She's doing bad in the UK... Last Sunday, it was not elegible to chart, ok, but it would not have been more than low top 40 with sales of Friday and Saturday (or maybe not even that) But this week, it's one day of sales missing, right, but #64? It's #30 and #94 right now on iTunes... Let's see how it goes through the week, but I doubt it can be more than Top 30-35 maximum by Sunday... and that, for the lead single of Madonna's new album, is very very weak. What are your predictions for this Sunday?
  6. I can understand they considered sales from the "gift" version of the song that you get when you pre-order the album not elegible . But what about the thousands who bought just the single? They paid for the song... Should be considered as a regular download. Are you sure that sales of the version given for free with the pre-order are counted in the iTunes singles chart? That is, when we see it at #13 or #15 or whatever, it includes sales from the single but also the copies from the pre-order? In any case, I think it's one of the most stupid commercial moves I've ever seen... Are those sales added to the total of the song anyway?
  7. Why Madonna's GMAYL has not debuted today?? I've read about sales of the "get it directly when You pre-order the album" won't count... But what about all the sales from people who just bought the single from iTunes (and madre it #13 or so...)?? Or is just that 2 days and that chart run in iTunes weren't enough to make the Top 100 today???

Where exactly is Beyonce with the single and album? Thank you!
  9. That's what I was going to ask... As "White Xmas" itself has not ever made the Top 300 in iTunes but the whole EP was charting high in iTunes albums chart... and just with 2 days of sales. I really don't get why it has entered as White Christmas.... And I don't get either how on earth MTN was #11-12 ALL WEEK on iTunes, from Sunday to Saturday, and was #15 on midweeks all week, which was weird enough, but today it's #18! :S And now some will come with "there are other stores", bla, bla, bla... But it's a bit strange, tbh.... Hope she releases the video THIS week. Apparently it's released on Thursdat, Dec 1st.

MTN all week 11-12 in iTunes and still #15 on midweeks??
  11. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Is the album at #16 really The Fame (Monster) or Born This Way??? Glad for MTN! 25 today... and #15 on iTunes right now, so Top 20 on Sunday!
  12. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
It's #21 in iTunes now... so, obviously, it will be higher tomorrow and so on... Plus, she's performing on CIN on Friday, so that can help too. I think it can be Top 25 this Sunday... and then there's Alan Carr on Sunday and the video premiere next week, so, it's still early! I hope for a Top 15 or luckly Top 10 in the end. Plus, X Facctor DID have a great effect on the album! Albums Lady Gaga 10+8 (was #43 this past Sunday)

JadeEwenJade Louise Ewen Wow! So who started this rumour guys?? The only place this Sugababe is going is to the studio with the girls to work on our new album!

It does not make a difference when you're high already on iTunes as sales are higher on the Top 10... But it did wonders for No can do, for example... I can't remember where NCD peaked on iTunes, but it was like 20 places below its final position on the official chart.... and it was thanks to the physicals.
  15. rub posted a post in a topic in Sugababes's Sugababes
I still cannot believe RCA is not releasing a physical single... It can do wonders for artists like them. Example: Nicola Robert's Lucky Day... Peak iTunes: #67 Peak Amazon: #85 Peak HMV Digital: Not even on chart... Today's Midweeks: #19 She released a physycal single only in her website.... It will fall like a rock comes Sunday, obviously, low Top 40 or so... but if it wasn't for the physical, this will struggle to be Top 75. I think the Babes still have a fan base (a lot smaller now, I know) that will buy a single to "complete their collections"... and they could be like 10 places higher or so with a physical... I think.
  16. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
iTunes is what... 80% of digital market???? And not, it's not selling either on Amazon (#85 song and the #276 EP) or HMV (not even on their Top 40 downloads chart)... This is Top 20 today JUST thanks to the physical single.... It will fall like a rock comes Sunday.... But, that proves how record companies are dumb not releasig physycal singles for some artists with a fan base which can boost their sales A LOT.
  17. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Am I wrong or Nicola's peak on iTunes with Lucky Day is 67 so far???? I simply dont understand how is She 19 on midweeks... And its not because of Amazon either, as LD is #85 there... It happened the same thing with her debut single... Awful peak and chart run on iTunes But #10 on Tuesdays midweeks... although it fell to #27 or so on Sunday's official chart...

Well... that 1st performance was on July 10th! So, no effect at all... And yes, they will have like 5 or 6 performances... but all weeks before the release. Hope they left something in store for the release's week.
  20. rub posted a post in a topic in Sugababes's Sugababes
You can watch the performance here: http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=272110 Unfortunately, not for those, like me, from overseas... Any of you could take the performance out of this video and upload it to youtube, please??? Thanks.

There's a web called "El Portal de Musica", which is an official one by Promusicae, in Spain (like the OCC in the UK). Everyweek they publish a list of new releases serviced to radio. And this week... FREEDOM http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3510/freedomx.jpg Does this mean that Sony is promoting them overseas? I'm assuming tis will be digitally released soon worldwide too, then? They had NO promotion or official release in Spain from C&S nor Sweet 7... Their last airplay hit here was About you now, a Top 20 in the official airplay chart and #2 in "Los 40", Spanish biggest radio station.... Hope Freedom gests some spins here!

Thanks 4 sharing... But late 2011 is literally impossible... There's just 13 weeks between Freedom's release and the last week of the year... I don't expect Freedom to stay more than that on chart, tbh... But, in orden to release Hard in late 2011, they'll have to make a video, send it to radios, etc, in Freedom's 3r or 4th chart week... And that would be a suicide. It will obviously be released in 2012.
  23. However, while the official EU Trademark website now lists Mutya - who founded the band with Keisha and Siobhan Donaghy in 1998 - as owner of the name Sugababes, she only has the rights to use the name to sell limited amount of products. The sites states she has acquired the name Sugababes for Class 16 products, which are classified as "Paper, cardboard and goods made from these materials, not included in other classes; namely stationery, paper gift wrap and paper gift wrapping ribbons". http://www.tourdates.co.uk/news/19619-muty...-for-stationery LOL I just have to LAUGH at Mutya and at all of you who made such mean comments on the girls... Really, it's disgusting to read some comments. Some of you just don't even care about the band... you just want them to get f***ed... That says a lot about some. She left the band on her own... What does she want the name for? To release singles that won't make the Top 100 (or even Top 200) like her last efforts? And btw Silas, are you a moderator??? I can't see you being impartial AT ALL. You just hate 4.0. Period.
  24. rub posted a post in a topic in Sugababes's Sugababes
I wonder everyday... If many of you keep saying 'that's not the Sugababes", "It's not the same since Keisha left", "they're crap", "they're a joke", etc, etc... WHAT THE HELL are you doing posting here everyday???? I don't go to an artist's forum if I don't like him/her... And it's obvious that most of you completely dislike what this group is NOW. And you have not accepted yet that we're in 2011 and this is Sugababes 4.0 It's f***ing boring to come here everyday and read nothing but negative comments... If I wanted to read people trying to be funny with their mean comments I would go to Popjustice where they are critizised everyday... not comin to their BJ forum.... And now some will come and say "I'm a fan, but if I don't like something I'm not gonna be a stan or a loon and stay quiet, bla, bla, bla...". But I'm sorry, many of you are not fans at all... and the only thing you do here is try to laugh at them and bring negative comments at absolutely everything they do, a song, a video,a performance or now a photoshoot where they look HOT, sexy and they're beautiful.
