This week #72 sold 72 Frank Turner 2,627 , so we know they sold ~2,600 (+2,700 last week), Total: ~96,600

The album repeats at #73 this week!!! :D Last week we didn't get official sales, but as it had increased sales from the previous one (2,628), I guess last week sales should be around 2,800 and the same for this week (maybe we'll get them tomorrow). So, total sales including this week should be around 97,000.

Yes. She had two albums of 80's covers, but her new album is from her own material, very euro-dance, a bit Kylie, a bit Kate Ryan... I don't think we're goin to see any big surprise in the final show... It's going to be a fight between Soraya, Melody and maybe Mirela and Santa Fe. Period. Melody had a hit in Spain when she was only 10 with a stupid summer song "El baile del Gorila" and while she has tried to become a respected singer now she's a bit older, she has flopped. She might have a big "telephone votes support" in Andalusia as her song is quite "typical-spanish" plus she has teamed with the Vivancos, a very well know dance brothers... Mirela's voice is incredible. She's the most talented singer of all the contestants but her song, a ballad, is not very catchy and she's only known by the Spanish "eurofans", not by the main public.

Hi! As I see it has not been published here, I'd like to tell you all the news regarding this year Spanish entry. The internet voting period ended (with many claiming irregularities in the voting process). Despite being the 1st almost to the last minute, Soraya ended 2nd and the most voted entries were: -Melody y los Vivancos (208,481 votes) -Soraya (202,198) -Santa Fe (130,278) -La La Love You (104,663) -Noelia Cano (103,361) ... El secreto de Álex, Normativa Vigente, Roel, Julia Bermejo, Vicente Casal, Virginia, Biquini, Yulia Valentayn, Jorge González, Calipop, Diqesi, Electronikboy, Mirela, Atalis y Solydo. The 20 most voted go directly to the tv shows. The other 30 most voted will have to do a casting where a jury will chose just 10 of them. So 20+10= 30 finalists. So, there will be 4 shows in TVE to chose our entry this year. On 14, 21 and 28 February there will be a show with 10 contestants each night. On every show 3 are chosen by the public votes+the jury votes to go directly to the Big Final, which will take place on 7 March. (So that's 9 + another contestant chosen among the others who didn't pass at first by the public). So 10 entries will fight to be this year's Spanish entry on the Big Final. My favourite one is definitely Soraya. She is brilliant singin live, she's beautiful, very very strong in the stage and a great dancer. And I love the song too. I highly recomend her album to those who like euro dance music. Do you guys think, as non Spaniards, it will be a good entry???

On 5 January No Can Do total was 24,886, plus, last week we didn't get official sales but it was #36 and we got: 32 Saturdays - Up 7,822 37 Pink - Sober 6.494, so it should be around 6,800. This week official sales reported by Music Week are 5,093 so the total now is aprox. 36,780

That puts it ahead of Sugababes’ current album Catfights And Spotlights – up 96-74 on sales of 2,628 this week - which was released a week earlier, and has thus far sold 91,327 copies. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87170 The total on the 1st page should be updated!!! 100k, here we come! xdd

Halo is released in Germany on 20th March, so I guess it will get a release in the UK at the end of march as well.
  8. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
DOWNLOAD only single. Not physical release as you said.
  9. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Where did you read this????? Hope it's true, cos I want my copie, but I can't see the point really.. and it can badly affects Halo which is released in March.
  10. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
And you even find it funny.... A song that charts high is suppossed to be there because a lot of people bought it, not because a bunch of insane fans bought 32 physical single copies (pic in the other iTunes thread) and another 20 downloads... That's the only reason they're gonna be #10 tomorrow, because if instead of the number of copies we counted the people who got TLK they will be top 40... Anyway, the top 10 will be there and you all now-almost-broke-after-this-expensive-week-fans could be happy with it, but what makes a song successful is its chart run and longevity... Yes, McFly had a lot of top 10s as well... but we all now their fabulous chart runs. Maybe that's what you want GA to become.
  11. Ok. As I said before... let's forget Sugababes latest album. Before it was published MW reported they have sold more than 4 million albums in the UK. Now we've got 6 albums GA (3.3 million) and 6 Suga's albums (4 million) I get out of Suga's 23 singles the last 3, Denial, Girls, and NCD, so they have 20, like GA. 66K+162K+32K= 260K. 2,847,000 - 260K= 2,587,000 + 4 million albums = 6,587,000 copies. Still 300k copies more than GA with the same number of single and albums. Still the most succesful girlband in the UK of the 21st century. And that taking into account that I have underestimated a bit the single sales of the Sugababes.
  12. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Spice Girls have sold 7,545,898 singles in the UK 5,136,579 Albums That is 12,682,477 records sold in the UK. I should not have even answered to that stupid comment. The stupid comment ever.
  13. Big LOL. That's all you have to say???? When I first said the numbers you claimed them to be rubbish, now you answer like a school boy with "their latest album has flopped"... How old are you? 10? I DO know their latest album have flopped, what's new??? Does it takes them out of the top of the biggest selling females band of the 21st century??? Maybe if the next GA album sells 800k copies and Sugababes does not release any more records the title of biggest selling girlgroup goes to them, but til now it is not. We're not talking about their lastets albums we're talking about their career.
  14. LOL. Now, you've edited your post goin to "full of errors" to "selected facts". That's the info I've got. If someone thinks that's wrong, come and tell me where it is. Til now, Sugababes are the most succesful band in the UK of this century. Like it or not. Period.
  15. Robin, answer me a question, please, and be sincere. If TTTST had bein top 10, would you still be saying "it cannot be considered as a top 10 and you cannot add it to the list of consecutive top 10s as it was not officially released as a single"????' Or by contrary, you'd be celebratin that it's a top 10 and of course it can be added to the list because it means a lot of people downloaded the song and bla bla bla...??? Another example. If "Love is pain" (or love is the key, can't remember) had made the top 10 after the performance in the GA Party special (or whatever it was called), as many million of people saw the performance and loved the song, would you consider it as another top 10 in their career and would be saying that "as the times have changed and downloads are what matters now it is another top 10, bla bla bla???" or I am completely wrong??? I don't give a $h!t about it it is a top 10 or not, what i really hates is the hyprocresy of fans when they claim that crap of "not an official single, not physycal release", when if the result had been better they would be saying exactly the opposite.
  16. As I've said, Spice Girls UK sales will ever be higher than GA, just with album sales and even more if we add singles sales. And that with 3 albums and a GH. But talking about Sugababes. Up to last October, before they release C&S, Music Week published their albums sales which were more tan 4 million (you can go and look for that article if you want). So with 5 studio albums and a GH, 6 albums, more than 4 million. GA have sold 3,200,000 albums aprox. (and that taking into account that 650k are from their latest X Factor related album), which makes the total figure a lot lower 3 months ago. Still more than 800k copies to get the Sugababes with the same number of albums. Single sales are almost the same for both bands. Not even 200k copies of difference. (Sugababes have just 3 singles more). And that bein all GA singles Top 10s... which demonstrates tha, many of them, fall as quickly as they entered the charts.... So, not even adding single sales + album sales GA have sold more than Sugababes. And, as I've said, I don't even want to mention overseas markets. In case you don't know, Sugababes sold records, among others, in Germany, the 2nd market in Europe...
  17. LOL. Maybe 10 songs out of 40 in the UK top 40 are download only... but they cannot be considered as singles!!! There will come a day soon when any of the songs in the chart could be considered a single if we take your words! And please... don't make me laugh with that "the most succesful girlband" stuff. I'm not even goin to mention sales outside the UK, i don't want to embarras GA fans, but in the UK, The Spice Girls and the Sugababes have sold a lot more albums than GA. Even All Saints are close with just 3 albums (not to mention the success of their latest album)... So, please stop that joke of the "mist succesful girlband".
  18. So, Single Ladies cannot be considered as a top 10 in Beyonce's career?? It's just an album track... And if Poker Face reaches top 10 next week we couldn't say it's a top 10 as it's not a proper single in the UK and just an album track... The funniest thing of all it's that, had TTTST be top 10, ALL fans would be considering it as another of their consecutive top 10!! And you ALL know that. That thing about "proper single", "song from a movie", "didn't have a physical release" it's just bull$h!t nowadays when the physicak singles market is almost dead and EVERY song can chart nowadays thanks to downloads, it don't matter if it's a proper single or not. And how a song that is not even meant to be a single and chart even have a videoclip???? That song broke the record, the fans like it or not.

I know the album has been huge.. But I'm free to think that if this album and The Promise had sold so well was basically thanks to Cheryl bein in the most watched tv programme in the UK. Even fans recognize this album not bein their best by far and The Promise not bein their best single... this time it has NOTHING to do with quality... as "Hero" had nothing to do with quality but to be the single of X Factor finalists. The same thing with Alexandra... do you really think if Alexandra had not bein a contestant of X Factor she will have the best selling single of the year??? I don't think so... I even doubt it will have made the top 10 (I love Alexandra and think she's VERY talented), but that's the reality... X Factor is like God... and GA had this promo everyweek in front of 9 million people... It's my opinion, don't want people to share it, but at least respect it.
  20. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
As far as I would love GA to miss the Top 10 this time, I think it's obvious they're gonna be top 10! If No Can Do was able to climb from 83 to 23, that is 60 spots thanks to their physical release and not bein top 40 in iTunes (that week), why wouldn't they climb 20 places??? I think they will, and next week they will fall like a rock... I can see TLK bein one of her lowest selling single. How strange... does this """flop"" have nothing to do with X Factor bein over and not seein Cheryl everyweek on the TV???
  21. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Yep, No Can Do up to #50 and Issues up to #13!!!!
  22. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
No Can Do is up to #54!!!
  23. rub posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Well... it's entire career was basically 2 weeks (41-99-out), lol. It was a single with no promo, no airplay, an almost amateur record company behind it... even Melanie didn't take it seriously.

Spice, Spiceworld and Forever are from Musicweek report last December. Greatest Hits last update was at around February, I think. The solo albums I can't remember, but most of them are updates from 2007 .
