Exactly what I'm saying. Tim, you can go round the houses with words all you like. You're trying to make me say Rock Steady sounds like another song, it's not my opinion - I dont think that. Why should I say it is! I thought I'd at least try and answer your question. I dont even care if All Saints sound like another band, they obviously need to sell and appeal...but they dont sound like their earlier material, so as it stands there are people that do think it sounds like any other girlband which is what it is. All Saints are older and been in the business longer, surely they would have been able to come up with a better put down than that! It just makes them sound like the silly girls'.

I named bands because I dont think and never said it it sounds like any other song - you said that. A sound is a sound, doesn't have to be narrowed down to a song if it was then it'd be saying "this is a rip of that song". Which is exactly what "looking at what works at the minute and going with it" means. As for Cheryl being humble, she comes across that way in the documentry and interviews. She doesn't owe All Saints anything & thats what I like about any band is if they speak their minds. She didn't come out and say "All Saints are c**p, they're stupid girls who know f*cking nothing" that would be not worth defending.

Rock Steady isn't that far from Sugababes or even Girls Aloud. All Cheryl said was sick of bands reforming. I agree with her, it's a novelty and a bandwagon thats becoming too full and it sounds like they're going for whats popular. All Saints replying by calling them "stupid silly girls" - thats hardly a good argument!!!!!! They're trying to be patronising "Jump for my love - thats where I wanna be" when where GA are at the minute is Biology, Whole Lotta History etc - fantastic lyrics and fantastic songs. Not have a dig at a song and also an image from 3 years ago. :rolleyes: Shows how much they know about them. Anyone actually think about when All Saints came out, baggy combtas. Woo thats where it's at. :rolleyes: And Cheryl isn't a writer, doesnt mean she doesn't work hard within Girls Aloud and shes clearly pissed of (as am I) that the general public cannot see fantastic, innovite, fresh pop music they've released especially over the last 2 years then All Saints come back and go for whats in. She obviously thought they'd rip off their style...which I doubt is true but she has every right to criticize another band when shes in the music industry working hard.

What songs. :P The other ballads Wasted Love and Beyond Tonight are boring I'm afraid to say. The only songs with hit potential after the fantastic 1st 2 singles are Oxygen and Enjoy The Ride. I think she should try the UK market but with a new album, something a bit more pop.

I agree. People are confusing the novelty of All saints returning with their actual songs. They weren't that amazing and their new song is going for whats popular now. I dont know how they can attack Jump (which isnt a GA song) when they brought out covers themselves and milked their frist album dry. <_<

Cheryl has a point, the first time I heard it I thought it sounded like Girls Aloud-esue, maybe she only heard it the once then commented. It doesn’t mean she’s saying All Saints old stuff sound like them. Girls Aloud seem to be getting a backlash now so they should bow out…as they have tried their best. Chemistry was a masterpiece, I have much respect for them releasing an album that’s diverse, that’s genre bending, that has really fantastic pop grooves and showed the style clearly developed with them and their partnership with Xenomania. But it obviously isn’t what the people wanna hear…so they’ve went all out for a commercial hit with Something Kinda Oooh…which is gonna do quite well I reckon. They have their own style and I’m sick of the Spice Girls comparisons. My arse! Their songs sound nothing like Spice songs and they don’t sound like Steps or Atomic Kitten…or even Sugababes. All Saints were hardly pioneers of pop either. One urban pop album and a 2nd William Orbit-y one going with the ‘in sound’ of the time…ohh lovely. Not to say they aren’t good just Girls Aloud work equally as hard, especially making sure they bring out their new songs.

Or its changed because its about not repeating the same thing. And it says on the series 3 dvd interview they changed the format because Avid wasn't a 'stalker' anymore and it made more sense to have him have his own chatshow. Which is true but it was still a c**p idea. Also not being topical is bound to have an affect on this series.

Well yeah, I love all sorts of comedy! Comedy is like music to me, everyone likes their own styles of it. I'd never compare Bo Selecta to Chris Morris etc as they're completely different types. I agree they would probably have a more thought up Madonna gag though! At the same time it's so simple and so stupid it works "From the album Constipation On The Dancefloor"! :D But I like Bo Selecta because it's just compleletely immature it can be funny. But I dont find it ALL funny just parts of it which is what it's let down is for me. I love serious, well thought up music but occasionally I just wanna listen to something cheesy and tacky. Yeah. I remember the psychologist on BB saying he is nasty, vile etc so that he automatically makes people dislike him so he doesnt have to deal with worrying if people will ever like him.

I'd rather have No Doubt but this will probably be good as long as it's different to LAMB! And hoepfully not Urban in the slightest.

And to be fair, he should have made an effort but like when she wanted dinner etc - he got her dinner albiet sandwiches or from a shop. And while I felt a bit bad for the booby - she honestly doesnt seem to mind him or the life she leads, so why should anyone else critisce that if they're happy? Having said that he is a bit vile but woop - good entertainment.

I watched it all! The madonna sketch was f*cking hilarious. When she started bending her legs around her neck!!!! Charlotte talking about Lindsay lohan was funny too calling her 'a $h!t' and stuff! And Ashlee Simpson was a cool guest.

I liked them but I dont class them as a girl band. Yeah it's girls in a band, but like boys in a band - say Embrace. No one would call them a boy band, but if it was all girls people might say 'all girl band'...rather than people who write their own music and so on - I doube SS would wanna be called a girl band. The lines are a bit blurred as to what the poll is about. As I would choose someone different for my fave band of all girls...I was just going on pop girl bands.

Yeah, I know they achieved a lot but I find a lot of their songs were pop songs singing about love, Shampoo's songs were different which is why they have the edge for me. But I do like some of their stuff and expecially Siobhans solo material of late. They still touched on things before others like they had the song Girl Power a year before the Spice Girls & harajukua culture befor Gwen came out with it, they even recorded Are Friends Electric by Gary Numan which Sugababes later came out with...I think it's an achievement from 2 girls who just came from nowhere and knew they had 15 minutes. So I think they at least should look a little better than the Spice Girls who were out at the same time saying Girl Power was about saying zigazigah and wearing skimpy clothes.

None from that list. Shampoo WERE Girl Power. We're talking about 2 teenage girls, who formed themselves, didn't do what the record company told them to (i.e market themselves as sluts), wrote their own songs, styled themselves, didn't sing love songs but proper songs about things young people got up to, that are forever remembered for one song yet were millionaires within a year of their first release. They even had a song called Girl Power before the Spice Girls!!!
