I love Green Wing but...that episode was meh. What the hell way is that to end the show? If they dont make another episode they're seriously f*cking us about. There was loads of funny bits tho - lion club so random and Karen falling out the window (dying??) and no one noticing. All good, though a few Smack the Pony sketches in it tonight. Alan and Joanna thinking they can do anything cracked me up.

I found it dissapointing too. I dont watch much sci fi but I'd seen parallell universes in all sorts of shows, they could have been a bit more original...felt so done before... in how the universe would be...same for that evil villian, he was acting all badieguy-movieesque when its tongue in cheek Doctor Who. He just came across as panto. And it just didnt seem to go anywhere for me (land in parallel, meet parallel vision of themselves/some bad guy stuf/go to party/ end of episode when theyre attacked...as ever), it was obviously a 2 parter from the slowness of it...but not like it was so action packed it had to be 2 episodes long. Bah. And I so loved last weeks, the school one and the cat hospital one was good thinking about it. And f*cking BBC putting it back so I had to sit through strictly arse fever. I mean, theyre tunring into ITV.

One of the time rules is you cant change the past or save people who died etc. Though he could have went back to the time he left her and still took her travelling. I guess it was to show how he had to let things be in the end and not interfere anymore

Yeah, I see what youre saying there...I kinda had a problem with that too, but I guess if we thought about it, they have the Tardis and can go anywhere and meet anyone they want to...it's more sort of believable for them to do that than to have alien races were people have cat faces etc Maybe they pick historical figures because theyre lives are known and they can write about them easier, plus the viewers know who they are...but it is kinda silly that they just 'bump' into them, its like "ohh lets go to Dickens time" and the only person existing there is Dickons and a few others. Small world. :D

Nooooo. That was $h!te but maybe it was the 40s? It was that one "Are you my mommy" with the gasmasks and all. I also liked that there was no Torchwood stuff in this episode and Mikey can act now. YAY.

Yeah, I agree with you. It was cool when it was more...eh...dramatic. I prefer it when it's about time and going back and forth etc rather than just going to the future and fighting monsters or people who look like cats etc. I noticed it was by Stephen Moffat, who wrote Coupling and he done the ep last series that was set in the 50's...glad hes done another episode as he seems to have really cool ideas for episodes. The ending was really sad...even though I kept saying to myself 'go in the tardis and visit her before she died' but oh well. :lol:
