I watched something where the writer was talking about Shameless and he talked about how it pissed him off Tv stations wouldnt employ new and younger writers so that's why he's handed the show over to other people to write. People he's given a chance too. All long running shows go through daft plots and so on, I cant think of any, even The Simpsons were ever idea or storyline has been perfect. At the same time there are lots of long running ones I think the later series are better then the early ones as the characters become more alive as it goes on.

I think bringing in new characters is appropriate, like the 2nd episode on e4 Frank was hardly in a lot of it and I think that's a good thing because it makes the show bigger & means it's less likely to end up repeating itself or get bored of the characters like people think. It aint the first time I been dissapointed by an episode of Shameless so it's not surprising some people didn't like it. Until it gets going I think its a bit OTT to say it's never going to be as good as the first 2 series and has lost it.

No offence but thats bollocks. And I dont agree with you - I dont know how you got that. I still and always will think a cover that's completey different to the original is the main thing. The main thing meaning - a good reason for it's existence.

I think endemols idea was to ensure Jade was kept in. And no one would hardly vote for the lowest percentage so it woulda been quite low. I thought she may have been more liked than that but there prob wasn't much between her, jack and jermaine.

I agree Jackiey was entertaining there. But why should Silpa be ashamed of being a sucsessful actress, thats just your igonorance of Bollywood - it's the 2nd biggest movie industry in thr world. So what if the UK dont know her, don't mean she shouldn't be proud of her achievements. Now - Leo there's someone whos arrogant beyond belief.

People wont suddenly stop liking LAMB because of The Sweet Escape. I actually think it's more No Doubt sounding than LAMB. You really think No Doubts first album and Beacon Street are as good as their later material? They've had their not so good moments also.

You said same joke, I assume you mean 'same format or same characters' - if not then I definitely think think you can find the same thing funny. What would be the point of buying comedy dvds to watch again if you dont? I know I watch the same comedy programs and still laugh at them. There is no rule that somethings only ever going to be funny once. And like with Shameless - what jokes or plots are they actually repeating and how can you tell this from 1 episode of it? And a soap is an on going continous drama. Soap opera 1. A drama, typically performed as a serial on daytime television or radio, characterized by stock characters and situations, sentimentality, and melodrama. Shameless isn't - it has a begining and end like most 'series' & there's a story to be told, the characters are also 1 million times more believable than in soaps. People like these characters and there's more to find out about them, which I think is a really good angle. I also think it's fantastically shot and the dialogue and actors gel - it's not often you get this so right on a TV show.

Marilyn is a toss pot. Thankfully someone as peachy f*cking keen as Rose McGowan got shot a long time ago.

Oh yeah I watched it earlier. Its' great. She has the exact same look as in Spiderwebs! :wub: IihXd0bed-k What You Waiting For was awesome but I must say I'm enjoying Wind It Up and The Sweet escape as singles a bit more than Rich Girl and Hollaback Girl.

Excellent songs. Beyonce, All Saints and Jojo need to stay away from you but otherwise I'm loving it. Sophie - great. Gwen - Fab. White Rose Movement - super. Girls Aloud - awesome. Aly - lovely Beyonce - carpet bagger. Jamelia - OK Eric prydz - dirty evil robbing bast*rd (but good) Nerina - nothearda Cascada - good. Lostprophets - genius cool. For every song else there's Mastercard.

Ok - I dont want to vote because... I finally found Gwen with her 2nd album has developed her own pop sound a lot more and I think it's good, interesting and I'm glad she's popular. I loved No Doubt for coming up to 10 years so obviously I love them a lot. So they're both as good as each other to me. :dance: Though lately I found No Doubts last singles like Bathwater and It's My Life and some Rock Steady tracks not that far away from what Gwen was doing so maybe she really wanted to go down that route as a solo star and be a rock chick in No Doubt.

Cool. Early Winter is good but it obviously has that guy from Keane's mark on it - where the chorus is repeated over and over and is a bit extreme ballady...I dont like Keane so it's not surprising I' not digging this. It's good though beause it's Gwen.

I didn't say that makes it good, I mean it justifys another cover release from them - it's not a standard cheap straightforward cover. Whether it'a good or bad - at least it has some point to it and some effort in it. And I do think it's good. If you dont then you dont.

Shameless being a comedy - drama. The point of it isn't just to tell jokes and make people laugh. And I completely disagree with limited amount of times you can tell the same joke. That is not proven, it's just something people say and it is about people who get tired of things. Shows can evolve and become better over time. The Simpsons running for nearly 20 years being a sucsess is still hilarious, which doesn't repeat iself often. Christ it's only the 4TH series of Shameless -it hasn't been on screens that long. You're really over reacting. I found the opening of series 3 worse than last nights episode. I love the MacGuire Mum! When they were walking down the street and into the pub, everyone panicking! Hilarious. "There's more than 1 way to skin a c*nt" Norma cracked me up to...dont like the Mum, return of. She's bloody annoying.

Gawd! What a load of cliched c**p. Maybe The Young Ones, Faulty Towers etc finished before people with brains like yours get tired of things. Short attention span much! The writers of those shows have went on to write other greatness, so it aint like they suddenly know how to stop writing comedy. People turn on things far too easily and that, is rather sad. A good idea can grow and grow and now so can Shameless - I hope it can live up to so many future episodes coming. From the 1st 2 episodes the show has changed, but it's changed because it's about new people now - that doesn't mean it's lost any of it's cleverness. I still found a lot of it funny and I'd rather have quality like this on compared to Coronation St, Emmerdale, reality tv hows on everynight. :rolleyes:

Do you like Pretenders at all? I'm not a big fan but GA version doesnt have anywhere near as much emotion and feeling in it, it's very watered down.

Is there anything she isn't in? I thought she was signed to itv i.e appear in every drama they have at the minute. Ill be watching this. Great show.

I cant believe how little people like Upside Down by A*Teens. They 4 of them have more talent, better vocals (+ they sing live) and better songs than Steps - Atomic Kitten and S Club thrown together. <_< rCABKhlwVm4

It's one of their best...and it's completely different to the originals which is the main thing...it's got a whole new melody so it's more like a mash up than a cover. The worst are I'll Stand By You and See The Day...they're both really bland.
