Round 12: LEAST favourite year-end top 40 single of 2013
Was close between 'Just Give Me A Reason' and 'What About Us?' but I opted for the former. I like P!nk as an artist but I find that song extremely boring and have never understood just how it became so big, and I'm assuming her best selling single? 'Who Knew?', 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)', 'Raise Your Glass', 'U + Ur Hand', 'So What?' however are all great songs. Now Lilly's gone I'm going to find it extremely difficult to vote...

Wow, the irony in saying that I'm patronizing and then reading your last comment... If you find my posts so boring and tedious then I'd suggest scrolling past my posts when seeing my name, might be worth trying. Now you get off to bed fella, you probably have school in the morning.

Please grow up. You always seem to have a problem with me for some reason when others have clearly echoed my opinion before and after and I've held back and turned a blind eye to your immaturity, due to the fact I'm assuming you're rather young and so on... I like "faceless dance music", you like screechy female "poptastic" artists; let's leave it at that. I could take a good guess at what your response would be to a number of songs but I re-frame from posting it, let alone naming your username on a post. :banghead:

I find 'Wild' to be Jessie J's best single, with 'Price Tag' pretty harmless. I can't stand the over the top "shouting" in most of her songs.

And the worst No.1 of the year is upon us... It makes 'Problem' sound like a classic. :puke2:

What's with the hate for 'Ho Hey' :o  Such a lovely little number, while that murderous cover is somehow hanging on.

George Ezra unlikely to rise? :( Listened to 'Ugly Heart' for the first time the other night and it's surprisingly good, quite generic but still stands out from most other girl group sounds of late. :)

I watched Nicki Minaj's new song last night (advertised on Vidzone on my PS4) and can honestly say it's everything I expected but worse. Prancing around wearing near to nothing, shaking her arse and rapping/mimicking the British accent to lyrical drivel. :puke2: 'Starships', 'Where Dem Girls At?', 'Beauty And A Beat' and to a lesser degree 'Superbass' are the only songs I can enjoy/tolerate from her. 44. All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor 53. Bang Bang - Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj 143. Anaconda - Nicki Minaj The charts really are about to get sh$t.

Surprised no one has mentioned U2 releasing their album on iTunes. All tracks are supposedly free and should automatically appear on one's music library, yet I'm having trouble finding this

'Somewhere Only We Know'. I hate when these John Lewis adverts air on T.V and butcher a well known classic. This is up there with 'Run', 'Cannonball' and 'Waterfalls' as the most pointless and rubbish cover ever recorded. :puke2:

If you've got things going on in your life why don't you wind your neck in and stop posting such idiotic posts? One of the many purposes of this forum is for members to discuss a matter of different opinions, in which I do so. I haven't made any fowl language to other members (though it's getting extremely hard with yourself), or rubbished their opinions at all, I've discussed it with them. You're the one that felt the urge to be a "have a go hero" and stick your two pence in with your childish comment. I'm fully aware of conversations that we've had before, and we'll continue to do so if you act like a child and post such bull towards me. Perhaps you should block me so I won't have to point out how pathetic you're being in future.

Again, find these apparent posts and quote them on here, otherwise, stop talking out your backside. I don't antagonist any members, and that's quite a serious statement to make. If any members feel that I antagonize them then let me know and I'll be more than willing to discuss such matters. I won't be afraid to "hint" about any subjects, I'll be more than comfortable to address anything if I feel the need to.

Please do back up your statement with some evidence as to how my posts are all the same? As far as I can recall I haven't once engaged in any debate regarding taking elements from other artists' music etc.

As immature and unhumorous as that post was, I genuinely, and unfortunately believe that there's some truth in it.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 17th August 2014
I can debate on any subject until the cows come home, and believe me I would. :P, but it's difficult when certain members can't see through their rose tinted glasses. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with taking inspiration or elements from other artists' songs, that's the whole point of my original post. I'm saying that most artists do it, and that there shouldn't be such negative emphasis on one song if you can't admit to it being done on others. For the record, I don't dislike Taylor Swift's previous music at all (as a person she seems a little annoying, but that's irrelevant). I actually thought it was a great injustice when 'My Life Would Suck Without You' beat 'Love Story' to No.1, as in my opinion it was the superior song. But on this occasion, I don't think the song's good enough to achieve the No.1 spot and isn't a patch on her previous material. -_-

Evidently. Though I look on this forum every day, so I imagine it probably wouldn't have been to the same volume. I never said anyone can't post about anything? I said it's tiring to read such comments when artists take elements from other artists all the time, it just seems that members may be purely scapegoating 'Lovers On The Sun' for the sheer fact it's dance music, which anyone can see is not well favored by many on this forum. I'm to say it's rightfully stopping Taylor Swift, as it's my opinion. You may call it progressing, but one way or another I'm sure she's taken inspiration from other artists, so let's all stop being biased.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 17th August 2014
Admittedly I haven't been overly keen on David Guetta's recent output (I found 'Shot You Down' to be a huge step down and not needed after the Audio Bully's far superior version, whilst 'Bad' was a big improvement), but it's getting tiring having to read all the comments accusing him of "ripping off" Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' and the general country/dance sound of late. I'm not disputing that he has, he most probably is cashing in on it, but isn't that what most artists do? It's happened before and it will keep on happening. I didn't read any comments on Cheryl Cole's 'Crazy, Stupid Love' ripping off the few dance/saxo/trumpet songs of the year. It seems a minority are jumping on the bandwagon purely because of the artist and the genre ("Faceless dance") they belong to, not to mention it (rightfully) stopping Taylor Swift's new outing. And as far as taking elements from other artist's go, I could hardly imagine Taylor Swift releasing material like 'Shake It Off' when she first started out. You could be forgiven for mistaking it for another cringe-worthy Katy Perry number. :puke2:

I hope you're wrong about 'Bang Bang' and 'All About The Bass'; they're both hideous. :puke2: I'm happy for the rest to be.
