Agreed. Total respect for what they do but they're not a band I've ever been able to properly enjoy. Good to see them make a return anyway.

I agree with a lot of that. Personally I'm very uncomfortable with the phrase "empower people to help themselves" - that just seems to be code for cutting the welfare state and telling people to get on their bike. And I'd love to know how a "compulsory jobs guarantee" would work - isn't that something the Tories have just come up with? This doesn't sound like the Labour I want to vote for.

Can't decide whether this is so bad it's good, or just plain bad... I'm leaning towards the latter.

Have to say I agree, I was a little underwhelmed by the album. Couple of moments of brilliance, but not enough for me personally :(

I think there's a difference between being "uncomfortable" with something and being outright opposed to it. Younger people do, in my experience generally speaking, seem more comfortable with gays and gay culture, and are much more vocal about how comfortable and accepting of it they are! I think, generally, older people just quietly accept it.

Yeah I saw a few episodes. In principle I don't like this kind of thing, but in practice I love it!

I'm not a big fan of the Generation Games (although loved it when I was a kid), but I think Miranda Hart's hilarious so she could bring a new lease of life to the show. I just hope it doesn't detract from her other work. I think she's a brilliant writer of her own material and hope she has a hand in any GG script she's given.

So excited for Hermione Norris to be in an episode! Just hope she's given a worthy script and some depth of character to explore. That's my worry about Keeley Hawes's Banker character - I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a 2D stereotype. Nonetheless, looking forward to all these guest appearances.

Yes, that's a very good point. He gets away with it because, to paraphrase Stewart Lee, he gets paid to come up with offensive opinions to a deadline.
