  1. I believe it sadly, People Magazine were one of the first ones to report it and they’ve basically always been Taylor/her team’s/Tree Paine’s closest source and normally where they feed information to to confirm or deny reports going around from other less reliable sources.
  2. #100-#91 100. Our Song 99. mad woman 98. The Great War 97. The Joker & The Queen (Ed Sheeran ft. Taylor Swift) 96. Me! (ft. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco) 95. Fearless 94. New Year's Day 93. long story short 92. Carolina 91. Teardrops On My Guitar Top 100 time! Debut bookends this section with two singles! First out is yeehaw bop Our Song, a Taylor classic and in full country-accent twang mode but it remains an uptempo bop to this day *.* Also departing is Teardrops On My Guitar, which was one of the first ever Taylor songs I discovered. I normally prefer the pop version as this is the version I remember so well growing up (the music video was on the music channels all the time and I was obsessed) but the country version has been hitting harder than usual recently, a beautiful song. The fact this is only 91st here shows how incredible her discography is! New Year's Day also leaves this section, which is a beautiful track with one of her best lyrics (the stranger one) and unsurprisingly I listen to this EVERY New Year's Day as it is the national anthem for that holiday x A beautiful closer to Reputation. And on that note with Our Song departing too, that means all album closers are now out and NYD is my fave album closer! :o Most of her more recent albums lose a track each here. mad woman was an initial favourite on folklore for me but dropped down my rankings quite quickly after a couple of listens. Still a wonderful track tho and I love her vocals + the witchy production on it. long story short shook me on first listen as I was not expecting a bop like that on evermore, it still remains a bop. And The Great War departs from Midnights, and will probs be out of my top 100 sooner rather than later. Great track but I don't go back to it as much as I used to anymore. Back to early Taylor and we lose the titular track from Fearless, which is such an anthem and is one of the highlights from that album! Such a sing-a-long classic. And to new Taylor, we lose a soundtrack single with Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, which honestly deserved an Oscar let alone was snubbed sadly. Its a beautiful track and for me it can fit on folklore easily, and I've returned to it a lot more than I was expecting to after its release. And now onto the 2 songs that nobody else probably ranks in their top 200 favourite Taylor Swift songs. The Joker & The Queen is honestly such a beautiful track, and Taylor brings it to life so much, she sounds amazing on it and its a beautiful ballad. Honestly deserves way better and was a surprisingly great song, especially for another Ed collaboration. And yep, I lowkey love Me! Yes it is a f***ing mess. Yes it should have never ever been the lead single in any universe. But its such a fun bop?! I adore the music video as well (the end part is one of my fave Taylor music video scenes) and honestly yes the lyrics are iconic, justice for hey kids spelling is fun! Its honestly such a fun track and will always put me in a great mood, and its top half on Lover, so yes I am a Me! defender and it deserves top 100 x
  3. Songs from each album in the top 100: Red: 14/31 reputation: 11/15 folklore: 11/17 Speak Now: 11/19 1989: 9/17 evermore: 9/17 Midnights: 9/23 Fearless: 8/26 Lover: 7/18 Non-Album Songs: 6/22 Taylor Swift: 5/14 The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection: 0/6 (Speak Now includes If This Was a Movie, The Hunger Games tracks I'm counting on Red, 1989 includes Bad Blood Remix, All of the Girls... is included in non-album tracks)
  4. #110-#101 110. Wonderland 109. Picture To Burn 108. Tim McGraw 107. Speak Now 106. September (Spotify Covers) 105. Gasoline (HAIM ft. Taylor Swift) 104. Lavender Haze 103. Question...? 102. Eyes Open 101. The Archer Onwards and upwards as we reach songs I rate 9.5/10! Debut and Midnights both lose two songs apiece here. From debut we have one of her first singles with Picture To Burn, this would probs be top 25 Taylor songs for me when I was 14-15 but it has aged quite a bit, still a bop tho. We also lose her first ever single here with Tim McGraw, a gorgeous country ballad which is ofc forever iconic within her discography with it being her debut. The tour performance of this reminded me what a beautiful track this is. Midnights loses its opening track & current single with Lavender Haze, and album track bop Question...? Lavender Haze will probs crack my top 100 pretty soon, I loved it at first, then got a bit bored of it but since the tour performance its rly clicked with me again & I've been playing it lots recently. Question is also a bop, very 1989-ish. Lowkey think I might prefer both these Midnights songs over one that made my top 100 oops. A few non-album singles depart here. First we lose her cover of September. I nearly didn't include this cos *technically* its not an official single, but I love this cover so much. So soothing & calming, and her vocals are beautiful on it. (and low-key, its better than the original x). The first of two HAIM collabs drop out here, Gasoline is a bop and I always live for HAIM/Taylor interactions, but I don't revisit it too often nowadays. And now a Red song due to the TV version, the first of the two Hunger Games songs - Eyes Open - just misses the top 100 here. The Taylor Version reminded me how much I underrate this song and its been good to actually have an excuse to listen to it regularly recently, I love the rock feel of this track. (and like LH, it probs cracks my top 100 if I was rearranging this order whilst posting). Also departing is 1989's deluxe track Wonderland, which I love lyrically & sonically, and the titular track from Speak Now which again is so strong lyrically and I love the transitions of storytelling between each section of the song. Both wonderful tracks <3 And just missing the top 100 is The Archer from Lover, a fantastic song <3 My only problem with The Archer tho is that it feels like it has the potential to be even better than it is (like legit top 25 worthy) if the song just exploded more, I'm lowkey obsessed with the fake tour versions when the 2nd verse production picks-up and then explodes over the bridge, which is how this song should sound! (and is kind of what You're On Your Own, Kid does, or something like Supercut from Melodrama). But still a fab track <3 top 100 coming up! with some faves & some surprises!
  5. #120-#111 120. Clean 119. That's When (ft. Keith Urban) 118. Daylight 117. Welcome to New York 116. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things 115. This Love 114. A Place in This World 113. Stay Beautiful 112. Long Live 111. Paper Rings We've now reached songs that are in the top half of this countdown! (from 112/113 upwards) (and songs I really am starting to stan) 1989 loses the most here as three depart. This Love would've probs been around ~170 a year ago but the TV version improved it for me so much (and it also helped being a separate release so I could give it attention), a beautiful track. Welcome to New York is such a fun album opener, quite a divisive song but its a major bop and its my national anthem whenever I'm in New York. Clean is a major fan favourite, I do like it and its a beautiful album closer, but its not my favourite. In terms of divisive songs, we also lose Rep's bop & tour closer This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things which is a very fun track, and in terms of fan favourites we lose Long Live, another album closer which is beautiful. And in terms of TV songs, Fearless TV track That's When departs, which was a surprisingly great duet and my 2nd fave of the new Fearless songs (*just* beating We Were Happy). Debut and Lover also lose two tracks too! Yeehaw bops of life A Place in This World (that chorus is so goddamn catchy) and Stay Beautiful (I loved this one so much when I was younger & it remains a great song, love the melody of it) leave here from Debut. Whilst we lose our third album closer in this section with Daylight departing. Gorgeous song and I absolutely adore the callback to Red (the song), but I just don't return to it enough for it to be higher here. Paper Rings is also a bop of life and is what London Boy wants to be, the production and lyrics are so so catchy and I lowkey think it would've made a good single. And this just made me realise that Taylor Swift and Reputation are the only albums that still have their (standard) album closers left in this countdown! :o I really thought I stanned them more than that
  6. Thanks guys as always <3 Honestly same  Betty used to be slightly higher on my folklore rankings (I used to have it above invisible string/illicit affairs) but its never been one of my album highlights! Also I think one of the reasons I loved it more at the time was cos it was country-Taylor for the first time in forever, but now we've had some evermore tracks + Fearless/Red TVs so it doesn't stand out for that reason anymore
  7. This has FINALLY fully hit me and now I am obsessed  That last 30 seconds lyric switch-up/cinematic production build up is so so good <3
  8. I’m starting to think there’s something with autoplay coming into effect for a song’s 2nd week - iirc all of the two above examples, You Only Love Me, Heaven, Die For You etc all had their ‘autoplay boost’ on their 2nd week of release. (And to add to this trend, potentially Labour and Heart Attack - Rock Version could be being boosted by it this week?)
  9. #130-#121 130. Hey Stephen 129. Message in a Bottle 128. Stay Stay Stay 127. Renegade (Big Red Machine ft. Taylor Swift) 126. cowboy like me 125. illicit affairs 124. The Best Day 123. Nothing New (ft. Phoebe Bridgers) 122. invisible string 121. We Were Happy If you're not on any of her 2020s releases (bar Midnights), you can breathe a sigh of relief for this section x Fearless loses three tracks here. Hey Stephen is a yeehaw bop, The Best Day is a gorgeous song and We Were Happy is one of my faves from Fearless TV, another gorgeous ballad. Red also loses three here. Message in a Bottle and Stay Stay Stay are both bops but I do have to be in the right mood to enjoy them both. On the other hand, Nothing New is beautiful but is more fitting for depressing moods x Two more depart from folklore, which feels kind of weird that 6 have now left from that album considering its my fave Tay album. illicit affairs & invisible string are both great tracks, the former has a new lease of life for me after that fantastic tour version & I love the latter lyrically and it has a nice acoustic feel to it. cowboy like me departs from sister album evermore, great track but I don't adore it as much as others do. And on this ilk, Taylor's first collaboration with Big Red Machine departs a lot higher than their other one, Renegade is a bop and if it didn't sound so similar to long story short it'd probs be higher here! (btw thx for all the comments as usual <3 love hearing your thoughts on this!!)
  10. #140-#131 140. Ronan 139. Dear John 138. Maroon 137. betty 136. happiness 135. Tell Me Why 134. the lakes 133. I Bet You Think About Me (ft. Chris Stapleton) 132. Last Christmas 131. Bejeweled I wasn't originally going to include Ronan as it is an impossible song to rank, but at the end of the day it is part of her discography. Utterly heartbreaking song and one of the saddest songs ever written, which for obvious reason I don't listen to this one very much. Quite a few albums losing 2 tracks here. Another Red vault track goes with country single I Bet You Think About Me. It's a bop and nice to here country-Taylor again, and I love the video too (Miles Teller *.*). folklore loses another couple of tracks, the love it or hate it betty drops out here and so does bonus track the lakes, both great song but there's better on that album. And Midnights loses two: fan favourite Maroon and the divisive Bejeweled. I like Maroon but gotta be honest I don't get the widespread acclaim for it, and I have a love it or hate it relationship with Bejeweled, its catchy af but sometimes verges on Gorgeous can be slightly annoying level. Another fan favourite leaves here with Dear John. Gorgeous song but idk it lacks that magic for me that her other acclaimed break-up songs have. happiness is nice and as a Great Gatsby stan I adore the lyrics. Tell Me Why is a bop from Fearless and grew massively on me with Taylor's Version. And we lose her first 'album' here as the final song from her Xmas collection drops out here! (probs a lot later than it does in most people's rankings). Yes its awful but I'd be lying if I don't bop to her country-pop version of Last Christmas every single Christmas! What a joyful cover and fab bop! <3
  11. Thanks for all the comments on that section <3 Definitely seems one of a few losses and a few no one cares songs for you guys
  12. #150-#141 150. How You Get the Girl 149. Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince 148. Everything Has Changed (ft. Ed Sheeran) 147. Last Kiss 146. It's Nice to Have a Friend 145. Afterglow 144. Beautiful Eyes 143. Fifteen 142. peace 141. hoax We're entering 9/10 territory here so its getting towards pure love. Lover loses the most tracks here as 3 falls out. Tour opener Miss Americana just makes the top 150, its very Halsey-ish and is a bop but isn't her strongest lyrically. I'm on the side that really likes It's Nice To Have a Friend, it's a really cute song and I love the experimentation with it. Afterglow is gorgeous but is this low down cos I don't return to it too often. How You Get the Girl is the next 1989 song to depart, a bop but there's just way stronger bops on 1989 than this. Like Afterglow, Last Kiss is gorgeous but I don't have it on regular rotation. And I used to not be massive at all on Fifteen but its a very strong song lyrically and it has grown on me a lot over the years. Two childhood favourites that would be a lot higher if I did this countdown like 7/8 years ago are Everything Has Changed and Beautiful Eyes. EHC is ofc her first duet with Ed, and her 2nd to depart here. I loved this song (+ video) so much as a kid, but Ed overexposure meant I went off it for a while, but I like it again now especially for the memories. Beautiful Eyes was one of my first Taylor songs, as the B-side to Love Story in the UK, so I will always have a major soft spot for it. And folklore finally loses its first two songs here, meaning all albums have now had at least one track fall out! Peace and Hoax are both beauties but I only listen to them when I listen to folklore in full (which tbf, is still a lot!)
  13. Thank you <3 At least were in agreement on YNTCD! I think that's kinda where Dress falls a bit flat for me aha! And BTTWS is getting enough love, the fact it nearly came top 5 in the Midnights Survivor poll is enough of an overperformance x Thank you!! Yeah I've been thinking about this for so long, and I think the Era's Tour just made me go f*** it why not  That'd be great to see tho if u do! Thanks guys for your continued comments <3
  14. #160-#151 160. Bye Bye Baby 159. Don't You 158. Only the Young 157. Mastermind 156. Forever Winter 155. Tolerate It 154. Gorgeous 153. You Need to Calm Down 152. Bigger Than the Whole Sky 151. White Horse Fearless loses the most tracks here. After losing its first vault track in the last section, Bye Bye Baby and Don't You fall out pretty soon after. Both are very nice tracks, but I can see why they didn't make the original album. We also lose single and fan favourite White Horse, its a beautiful song but yeah I prefer 150 other songs in her discography x In terms of vault tracks and fan favourites, we also lose Forever Winter from Red (a lovely track but again I don't return to that much) and Tolerate It from evermore (what I said about FW applies here x). Midnights also loses another couple. Mastermind is a bop and cute album closer but isn't a favourite, and Bigger Than the Whole Sky is heartbreaking and was initially higher in my Midnights rankings, but I don't really go back to it at all anymore. Only the Young is a bop but I legit forget that it exists far too often, this song probably defines Lover vault track. And we lose two divisive singles/pre-album releases here back-to-back! I loved Gorgeous at the time but it hasn't aged amazingly, the alternate lyrics were so much better than what was included on the official version. But its still a bop. I love the message of You Need to Calm Down but again the song itself is a bit of a messT (same applies to the video, love the start + the Katy moment, the 2nd verse/chorus and some of the canoes - flush). Still bop here and there but it shouldn't have been more than a promotional single! (Also I rly stan the YNTCD artwork, whew *.*)
  15. The way you’ve spilt all the tea on this page :cheeseblock:
  16. Not 2 last places so far this year, when will your faves :cheeseblock: (tho at least I’m not as blindsided as when Renee Rapp came last which still makes zero sense to me.) At least ik that buzzjack can no longer appreciate novelty as well as good pop anymore x
  17. Salute easily. Cannot believe the results atm :(
  18. #170-#161 170. Today Was a Fairytale 169. Dress 168. Crazier 167. Holy Ground 166. So It Goes... 165. All of the Girls You Loved Before 164. You All Over Me (ft. Maren Morris) 163. Christmas Must Be Something More 162. Sweet Nothing 161. It's Time To Go Reputation loses its first two tracks here, which means folklore is the only album to not lose any tracks so far! So It Goes always used to be my least fave on Rep, but I just about prefer it to Dress nowadays. Both really good tracks but by far the weakest on Rep. Also still not over So It Goes being my surprise song on tour ugh. I used to hate Today Was a Fairytale but its one of the biggest improvements with the Taylor's version, so I really like it these days! We lose another movie track with Crazier, an underrated country tune from the Hannah Montana movie. In terms of Fearless, we lose the TV lead single You All Over Me. I'm so glad Taylor collaborated with Maren Morris, who is one of my fave singers from the past few years, and she does improve the track but its not the most exciting one in her discography. Holy Ground is another fan favourite but has never been a fave of mine on Red. Its catchy af but inessential. Sweet Nothing and It's Time To Go are both very nice but I don't listen to either unless I'm listening to their albums in full. Christmas Must Be Something More, as with the rest of the Xmas album, is sung off-key but what a BOP. So so catchy and I actually heard this in stores over Xmas a couple years ago *.* And the most recent song here, All of the Girls You Loved Before, drops out here. Its very nice but obviously I haven't had much time with it (and most of the Lover songs I associate it with are going to drop out soon!)
  19. Same! ivy is one of the fan favourites that really perplexes me. And yep the Bad Blood remix will be a lot lot higher x omg.
  20. Another fantastic album! Kintsugi is stunning  Also was shook at the Venice bitch sample on taco truck!!! (I have not been paying enough attention and just presumed VB was a featured artist so consider my shock when Venice Bitch came in 😂) Could really really do without the two interludes tho. (Tho ig at least they’re the lowlights of the album this time, whilst the interlude on blue banisters might genuinely compete for top half on that album 😂)
  21. #180-#171 180. I Almost Do 179. You Are In Love 178. Bad Blood (album version) 177. Change 176. evermore (ft. Bon Iver) 175. Paris 174. Begin Again 173. Babe 172. ivy 171. Hits Different Mostly an even album split here! Change is the first 8/10 song in this countdown so we're getting to the ones I love. Fearless TV improved that track a lot and meant I finally could like it, the screechy off-key vocals on the original we're not it x Red loses the most tracks here. I Almost Do is similar to The Lucky One for me, its nice when I hear it but I don't go out of my way for it. Begin Again is cute but has never been a major standout for me. And if Babe was the Sugaland version it'd be about 30 places higher, but the Red TV version is lowkey bad & I hate the production on the start of that one, so it falls out here. 1989 loses its first tracks in ages. You Are In Love is a nice song but that's it, and I loved Bad Blood (album version) at the time but its all about the remix version for me nowadays to the point the original kinda irritates me slightly these days. evermore also loses a couple of tracks with the title track and fan favourite ivy departing here. The title track is a nice closer to the album but I never listen to it unless I'm listening to the album in full, and ivy is just a way weaker invisible string. Finally, Midnights loses a couple more bonus tracks. Paris is the next 3am song out, its a slight bop but feels so much like a vault track that gets leaked online a few years later. And Hits Different would probs be higher if I had heard it more than like twice, when is that going to come on streaming!!! (Kinda surprised this wasn't part of the tracks uploaded to celebrate the start of the tour!)
  22. Yeah that was definitely a section of filler  Good so I can now associate it with the forgettable Fearless deluxe tracks!
  23. #190-#181 190. Back to December (acoustic) 189. Haunted (acoustic) 188. Dorothea 187. Santa Baby 186. The Outside 185. If This Was a Movie 184. Untouchable 183. High Infidelity 182. Macavity 181. The Lucky One Speak Now loses its two acoustic bonus tracks here. Haunted (acoustic) is the better one but I hadn't heard it in years until recently due to the deluxe getting taken off UK Spotify. BTD (acoustic) is nice I'd choose the original anytime. I liked Dorothea at the time but it's a little bit grating nowadays. The Outside is nice but forgettable. Deluxe tracks take a bit of a hitting here. High Infidelity is nice but not a standout, Untouchable is a nice cover and one of the better Fearless deluxe tracks but still isn't essential, and we have former-ly Speak Now bonus track but now Fearless bonus track If This Was a Movie, which is a good song but she's done the same thing better throughout her discography. Santa Baby is utterly painful but at the same time I stan it so much, the vocals *.* From 182 upwards are the songs I like quite a lot so we're nearly done with negativity now  Macavity is admittedly dreadful but I do love it and can't lie I live for it every time I hear it *.* From the British accent to WIIIIIDE AWAAKEEEE, honestly iconic and it deserves more attention. The Lucky One is filler-y but cute.
