  1. Teletxt say: Holby City star Patsy Kensit has confirmed she's marrying on-off fiance Jeremy Healy, writes Jonathan Donald. The three-times-divorced actress, 40, and the 46-year-old DJ will tie the knot on May 16 next year. "No it's not going to be white," she told OK! magazine. "But it is going to be a big wedding, though. Certainly the biggest wedding I've ever had." The couple first went out together seven years ago but it wasn't to be. They met again last year at a party thrown by artist Damian Hirst. Healy has proposed twice, first in a pool in Majorca and then on Valentine's Day. A rocky patch did follow earlier this year, but Kensit insists "it was completely blown out of proportion", adding: "We fight but not so bad I've ever thought it was over." Kensit says the marriage to Healy will be her last. "This is the last time, definitely the last" said the actress, previously married to musician Dan Donovan, Jim Kerr from Simple Minds and Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher. Liam and Jim, with whom she had sons Lennon, 8, and James, 16, are unlikely to be at the wedding. "I think it would be a little weird," she said. well its a good job that i left before the end - omg it bored me totally (and maybe liv tyler as well in part..would have been better having emma roberts in the part tbh, give it some life....tho i suppose its good to see in a film with liv tyler in it after such a long time* tho i guess post-motherhood and post-spacepig's Royston Vasey she'll be in loads now) ....parts of it were so totally obv as well (eg gunshot)...and tbh actually would have enjoyed it going to see disaster movie again and thats saying something!!!...perhaps a film that would be better enjoyed as a soundtrack album (that is if the songs from the film featured on the soundtrack and not just a lot of slipknot wannabes) ...now if there is a sequel lets hope it directed by Friedberg & Seltzer using Steve Tyler and the rolling stones as the strangers...might be intersting... tho obv the spacehog revival might be more sacry!!! *didnt get to see hulk

  7. Actaully when it comes to I'd Rather Jack - cant work that one out..as its actually one of their best records (even tho obv dated as its about some weird jacking dance that might only make sense in 1986) until you actually put tho images to the record...if it was Mel & Kim (and it most probably might be) would be seen as much much better...or until its remixed to become Id rather jack than Nick-el-back...(Right Said Fred please cover this   ...talking of Right Said Fred, FFRR and massive in Europe success types...was listening to the FFRR albums in Zavvi...and came across this interesting record by the Italian Stakka Bo in full perv mode....you might like this...or you might like Mojive more.... r6PI4TBNCJM Jovanotti - Welcome Jg-DCIhnl8s Serenata Rap - Jovanotti 1OKTkeV9tpo Right Said Fred - Mojive Dua2JS1TZNo ATC (A Touch of Class) - My Heart Beats Like a Drum Xv-dLZJowPg U96 - I Wanna Be A Kennedy Nwc0shJ2aYc U96 - Das Boot and i guess once upon a time all of Alex Christensen's U96 record were seen as cool dance records...and even tho they probs came out around the same time as the s/a/w hits they've dated so much more...(frankly should stick to ATC) and tbh as far as I wanna be a kennedy goes even more dated than the tune below...which even tho its a million years old is a much better dance/club record cznha2YTTh0 Visage - Fade to Grey and also the views may not only be about music - i'm guessing theres something deeper and very political going on as well that shaping your ideology...

from discogs - formats that Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus single was released on in 1989...which you cannot disagree is not in the late 1980s....lots of different formats...lots of CD singles there as well... 9. ...did you watch that programme on 4music the other week...no not one with Nick Grimshaw but one counting down the biggest hits of 1992..presented by pete waterman along with neil fox...and as one of them said it may have been known as the year of nirvana but they dont turn up in the bigest sellers show...instead full of overproduced stuff like curtis stigers (meaning maybe 1992 was the arse end of all that overproduced sickly 80s stuff - that might feature saxaphones - esp when soulful michael macdonald types are concerned) on the other hand dance represented by 2 unlimited and utah saints...and its know wonder that there is a new video as the original is one of the worse ever cheaply recorded..maybe it would have been better if it had just gone out as a kate bush remix with all of the original video... don't know what else was on as i think i turned over to watch either dark angel or roswell on e4...
  10. well i suppose it could have been worse if they had been invented in the 50s kylie and jason would have been no doubt rebranded as Kylie Zoom-Zoom and Jason Sunnyhead in a manner like all those empressio moulded rock n roll stars like like Georgie Fame, Marty Wilde, Billy Fury, Vince Eager, Sid Vicious, Dickie Pride, Lance Fortune, Johnny Rotten, Johnny Gentle and Duffy Power  and i bet you found ben elton funny in the 80s as well

and a few years ago no doubt probably would have been #1 for 25 weeks selling the same amount....not really a good argument as havent singles (pre-download coming into the chart) been in terminal declined for like forever...and if a act like milli vanilli had been launched in the 1970s they too would have two top ten entries on the million sellers.... ZDpdt_MVwoc so new kids may have got to #1 with the lowest #1 sale (at the time) but since then god knows how many people have broken that record until you've got someone like orson and eric prydz.... and according to wiki New Kids was UK number one single January 7, 1990..so obv post Xmas singles slump when you can get to #1 with sod all....

  17. yeah The Power Of Goodbye, Frozen, Drowned World are great however a few months back I got Madonna's 80 greatest hits album cheap - and i wish i hadn't as it wasnt very good and think i will stick with newer ones like Music and Confessions on a Dancefloor than getting anything really old....and ive just got I'm Going to Tell You a Secret to watch. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund so it should be worth a watch... think hung up has to be her best track tho...great use of an abba sample (even better than the tamperer!!!) and a great video by Johan Renck..... iPbY503EbyA Stakka Bo & Titiyo - We Vie IQR9bw-4R08 Stakka Bo - Here We Go S9pNXcTVOyw Stakka Bo - ...the swedish stereo mc getting deep down and dirty...perhaps  - going straight on Down the Drain and no mention of Confide In Me??? v82t4aFwy90 "Fig 927: PWL Recording artistee Kirsty Hawkshaw with one of her versions of Edward Barton's Confide In Me, perhaps" 5_qEdPq2Tww "Fig 435: An Emilíana Torrini song covered by that there Tricky Kid from that massive band Massive Attack"
  18. 1962....so is that something to do with the beatles or the year you started listening to pop? do you ever go back further than that? there is a good feature in froots mag this month about public domain recordings - things from over 50 years ago that are out of copyright as well as featuring a track from the legendary Greek singer Marika Papagika recorded in New York in February 1927, http://www.frootsmag.com/content/freecd/31/

Is he a big Paul Weller fan? Has he got the box set with about 70 singles on? i got the normal best of cheap a few months back in a 2nd hand shop raid  - he's done a few singles that are good slices of motown-esque pop but on the other hand he has release some utter rubbidh and some of the most boring examples of dadrock (last single one of the worst this year but thankfully thats off the newbie!!!). but because was in the jam to some dudes who grew up in the 70s/80s Paul Weller is like some pious enterty that can be never criticized tho obv over 70 singles there's no quality control (blasphemy) and some nasty jazz-funk bollocks...tho when it comes to a boxset best of i think the John Martyn box set might be a better purchase.... the only thing is if the s/a/w stuff wasn't liked...how did they have so many hits and sell so many records??? maybe this comment was truncated with the actual comment reading "so do i , then you'd understand why s/a/w stuff wasnt liked :) but those sorts of male music fans who will probably be similar to the types complaining about the success and popularity of Liam Fray, the kooks and the kaiser chiefs without realizing that Love Will Tear Us Apart is just one step away from being an OMD record!!! " http://www.hypnotherapyinfo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/kerrykatonahypnosis.jpg ...look it's the female Ian Curtis   Also on teletext there has been discussions about S/A/W, popular indie types and attacking the current #1 - you could probs view all these as separate arguemnts abotu the music but underneath an obsevation could be made about certian types not wanting to align themselves with the mainstream for egotastical reasons.... "House music doesn't need defending, but how bad are Stock, Aitken & Waterman in reality? Their hits have respectable levels of melodic/harmonic interest and are more creative than the average generic house song (less so than the peaks of the genre). If we need a byword for rubbish, how about One Republic? Jonno Teletext" "I'm bored of the hatred towards Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks. Most people don't like them because of their popularity among people who buy their music from Tesco. Before slating them, try to come up with a song that gets crowds dancing and singing along like Oh My God or She Moves In Her Own Way. Dead End Clown Teletext" "I'm certainly not going to attack whatever's at No 1. Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl is a great pop song, in the same way as Baby One More Time by Britney Spears or Kylie's Can't Get You Out Of My Head. There will always be a place in music for songs like that. Also, liking Radiohead doesn't automatically make you a snob, nor does liking Fratellis make you a boozy yob. Please, don't take it all so seriously. Indiegirl Teletext" well i'm off to make a comment about the Ladyhawke album being given away free in the daily mail this week in the indie section...
  22. so close as well to the top 40...damn!
  23. it does drag a bit...but at least the gag at the end makes you leave the cinema thinking that was alright after all....unlike Babylon AD which on the other hand is supposed to be a brilliant film... ...but only if you leave 20 minutes before the end...
  24. well having just read the 40 years of Chrysalis feature in Music Week you think well it could be worse...could have nicked the tune of spandau ballet!!!* ERlbz8cuXQw and while you wait for any album called 'Go West sing the hits of Feeder' here is New Found Glory doing 'forgetfulNorahJonescoverversionman's' The King of Wishful Thinking...not a Recomendation just very random!!! and s better than posting anything by Chrysalis records types Starsailor

So i see you havent read all of the 40 years of Chrysalis tribute to feature in music week this week? How they started off with a label deal with Island Record who would give them (Chris Wright/Terry Ellis) their own label if they provided Island with so many hits in so many months...how they had loads of success with Procol Harum, Ten Years After, Jethro Tull and Blondie...how Simon Fuller (ex-Chrysalis) could have not wished for a better apprenticeship, how they sold out to EMI in the early 1990s and concentrated on radio, television and publishing until an agreed lock-out period from running a record label meant that they could set up Echo... i dont think anybody reading that tribute would get the idea that they are really such a poor little down on their luck enterty (they're not Gut  )...more like ultra corporate back-slapping...and the truth is the publishing side is much more profitable than echo will ever be....on the other hand seeing as EMI own most of Chrysalis back cat...they can re-issue the Waterboys and Spandu Ballet as many times as they like now....in as many 2 disc and sight&sound dvd editions as they like.... vL5L5Y61Jyk A Girl Called Johnny - The Waterboys http://www.dararecords.com/irish_music_store/info/images/waterboys_roomtoroam_160.jpg http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetail...&sku=832713 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ZhbtltIpL._SL500_AA280_.jpg http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetail...&sku=842753
