I have seen the trailer 4 times in the last hour or so, so are you gonna be watching it? K588VwOZPbw Yeah it looks very good - tho for a moment i thought i was gonna be joining a discussion about the rebel - i like the bit on the train where Hancock's on the other platform and two trains pull up at the same time - classic!!!  http://modculture.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/hancock_film1_1.jpg
  2. yeah - well its not a very broad kinda humour or something like an American Pie/American Gross-out movie- tho if you like Flight of the Conchords and Napolean Dynamite - yeah you will probs like this as well...as its in the same kinda vibe
  3. Yeah thats a good list and with David Arnold on board that sounds like yeah gonna be a good orchestral-noir record - and with Greg Kurstin from The Bird and the Bee on there as well - do you know their album? or is it too jazzy and chilled for you??? i think its a very good album - tho obv didnt get in the chart as not much daytime airplay can be got for a song called Fucking Boyfriend - xDlEXQaMBpk Again & Again - The Bird and the Bee frw83nj31N4 Fucking Boyfriend - The Bird and the Bee However those first two albums I dont think were put out by Warners - think they were still under Rupert Murdoch's control of the Aussie 'indie' label Mushroom Records (though I think Manson was still under contract to another American label called Radioactive who put out her Angelfish records and 'licenced' to the rest of the band/Mushroom - tho Garbage's USA releases came out on the new - at the time - Herb Albert/Jerry Moss label Almo that they set up with the millions they got for selling A&M)...so perhaps the album has been cancelled as its just gone off the sales of the last couple of garbage releases...which Warner were actually involved with (with them just getting lucky when they bought out Festival FMR/Korda Marshall's Mushroom/Infectious Records) saying that i watched the Garbage - Queer video the other day - and now i think its one of the most sexy songs ever - more sexy than Marvin Gaye!!! more sexy than Right Said Fred etc etc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETsSdunVuys
  4. Yeah they are - 886 plays with a reach of 40.94 million - cant see them in the radio 2 top 30 - tho abba is at #30?!?!?! #9 on radio one's chart
  5. yeah and regarding the couple of batman (and robin) films before the new Nolan films - they should have left the camp to the 1960s shows...the catwoman is this weeks guest on BBC Four just after Sound of the 70s at about 7.35pm   http://www.batmangiftideas.com/adam%20west%20and%20burt%20ward,batman%20and%20robin%20merchandise%20and%20collectibles,batman%20costumes%20and%20toys2.jpg

  11. from teletext: Shirley Manson is taking up acting, after her debut solo album was shelved by Warner Records. Manson said Warner didn't want to release the album, co-written with Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile. She will now have a regular role in the second series of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a spin-off The Terminator movies, in the US this autumn. Manson plays the boss of a computer firm This is quite sad news as I would have loved to hear how those Buchanan/Manson songs sounded - tho Warner also shelved the Associates Glamour Chase album for something like about 10 years and I guess thats probably when the next Blue Nile albums gonna be out anyway  - so I guess anyone who is a big fan of Paul Buchanan won't mind waiting and at least there is still Sharleen Spiteri's Melody album coming out which is probably in the same kinda vibe??? http://www.mdmmedia.com/mdm/pictures/gc-cover%202.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41698ZS8XYL._SL500_AA240_.jpg Hello again, Mr Mackenzie : HgQejnOWCEE Texas ft Paul Buchanan - Sleep :

yeah and seeing as the press were labeling them as a Christian act - don't think to much praise is gonna go on here - as Christian music acts are not known for its greatness because its not very 'rock n roll' is it but they are much much worse than Busted and McFly - really really bad and a $h!te cover of year 3000 as well - tho a good excuse to get some more ice-cream when they came on in that H.M./M.C. 3D film tho you never know they might sell their soul to the devil and make some good music.... http://www.clickmusic.com/upload/fightstar300.jpg
  14. yeah thats probs a better one - if only of the Vic & Bob & EMF one  also - and even tho its a Lee Hazelwood song rather than Neil Diamond song - I think this is a good record by Ville Valo & Natalia Avelon - Summer Wine d4Ic5ddlIYw
  15. also this is worth investigating, esp if you like napolean dynamite as well http://media.movieweb.com/galleries/4696/posters/poster2.jpg

well i'm not gonna bother sit thru two and a half hours of this when i havent watched the series - tho yeah what is it with a lot of studios these days and their overly long blockbusters and chick flicks - is there a paranoia that they are not giving good value for money with a film that is lasting 90 mins so they have to stick in another 30 - 45 minutes of stuff in as well?? and another problem is that with long film - that means they cant get as many showings per auditorium so they take up about 3 different ones - so at a multiplex thats supposed to show 11 different films you get 4!!!

萨顶顶 http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/worldmusic/a4wm2008/media/sa-ding-ding-205x205.jpg this is Sa Ding Ding - who is probably known mostly as being the Chinese Bjork (tho she's half Mongolian half Chinese) 5BLBkepCL4c WQj6riu6YL0 wondering what do Bjork fans make of this artist???
  19. Well next year we should send something like: EtuWt-yqsm0 Fatima Spar and the Freedom Fries!!!! tho if Austria gets to the Freedom Fries first maybe we should send.. 萨顶顶 Sa Ding Ding (the Chinese Bjork - because no ones gonna be nasty to China are they...would be 'bad' karma if they did...) 5BLBkepCL4c

why would anyone into them need to hear samples esp. when the album was given away with the Mail on Sunday like a month ago - wouldnt every UB40 fan in the UK have this album now? Single release seems pointless btw dude did you know Gun were playing a concert a few weeks ago with Bad Company for a new Rock radio station made by the Guardian Media Group???

some other stuff you might like to see: Alison Moyet - Whispering Your Name ( Vince Clarke remix) Z2UmwRhcRms Alison Moyet - Whispering Your Name (original Hi-NRG mix) CwY_9KUVoVk Vince Clarke & Paul Quinn - One Day CMjYzzZ5owY Depeche - Condemnation OtB2cIt-XDI New Londonbeat - Read Between The Eyes DQ1zXA59ZeQ btw heard anything of the new Moby album? - I've only heard that free CD in the paper - put of the new tracks on that and excepting the 1989 revival track all the disco tracks sounded like they were were quite Erasure/Yazoo-ish (you could see where Moyet or Bell could be put on the track) and all the downtempo ones quite Goldfrapp Felt Mountain-esque - wonder if Mute got loads of freebies from Mute  with a reading of TVOD rejected along the way for not being New York enough  u8thf7TpZYs The Normal - TVOD

well my copy of the Woodchuck Ep cost me 35p - as an 4 track Cd goes i would say i've wasted about 26p of that
  25. So I guess you didnt see Graham Norton then with Dame Edna and Alanis on Thursday night then...'she' also made the mistake of saying she was American as well and was quickly corrected by 'Avril' sorry I mean Alanis (well I suppose she's looking good these days  ) over this faux pas. however even tho the song was not much (I'll stick with Fat Lip, Drinking in L.A and One Week) have to say that Alanis was actually good value for money - and quite a good guest to have on the show... http://farm1.static.flickr.com/44/143335616_d909084b9c.jpg (please note this is not one of the gorgeous new pictures) and talking of Canuck humour - there's supposed to be another great bit of comedy stand-up that was probably performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal (but in English) and was from a Canadian comedian talking about Canadian-American cultural differences and the punch-line is something like 'so you think you hate Americans, we [Canadians] have to live next door to them' - though I don't know who this is and neither does the person who told me about it...?!?!?! tho it was a guess at someone quite hairy...a big hairy Canadian comedian man....
