Go:Audio
Anyone heard Go:Audio yet however judging on below i thinks an Award for PR Bollocks maybe justified? from the promo of their Woodchuck EP I think written by Matt Hughes from Hungry like the woolf Media (yes it does say Woolf not a typo): "For anyone out there attempting to pigeonhole Go:Audio good luck. Much about this band is unusual. They're either a rock band you can dance to, or else a dance act you can rock out to. You decide..." from listening to this I think I'm gonna pigeonhole Go:Audio under either "Do we really need a Hellogoodbye with maybe a worse name" or "Coming to the soundtrack of Greek very soon" - nothing life changing here.

Countries that don't technically exist but do actually
Did anyone see that 'Countries that don't technically exist but do actually' show on BBC Four a few months back that featured all the disputed territories in the world...wondering how many countries could there actually be in Eurovision if all these were recognised as being independent

Eurovision 2009 thread
well as my dad said - why dont they go all the way and invite China into the competition  (tho i think technically Kazakhstan is about 0.0000000000000006% in Europe - so thats greater than San Marino and Monaco combined

Reasons why I don't buy the therory of'Political/Neighbourly
Actually the Superman Lover's Starlight has just come on my compilation - and i am imagining A.A. singing it on stage in Serbia as 'we speak' now that what I call a bloody good song...

United Kingdom about to lose guaranteed final status?
yeah and it not like it makes that much of a difference as could have easily been Danjahandz as well or anyone of those dudes 'orbiting' Tim...does anyone really care that much...maybe its just being a bit too pedantic...think people get the idea of the arguement of what is trying to be put across - which is the main point...

United Kingdom about to lose guaranteed final status?
but in this case would Wiki be more right because its the kinda information that probs would get so many people knowing about that it would get corrected easily? and anyway magazines like Billboard are not 100% proof correct - they get things wrong as well just have to look at the amount of Errors and Ommisions that are in the Errors and Ommisions sections in papers like the Guardian and the Independent to know (btw listening to Deee-lite's Groove Is In The Heart on a compilation - Groove Is In The Heart which was mentioned as Deelite the other week in Music Week)

Pushing Daisies
and theyre gonna put up the missing episode on the itv website (if its not already)

Heroes [Series 2]
Yeah sending him back in time was a mistake - esp since Hiro and Ando's stories in season 1 was one of the best things about the show....(still on BBC Two's pace as BBC Three clashes with GA, Earl and Entourage)
-
Greek
What does everyone think of Greek - the new freshman series on BBC Three. I guess it's popular enough to get a Sophomore sesh on ABC Family in the States - tho do you think it will last on bbc three?? you know seeing how its a Comedy-drama and thats quite a hard thing to do and get the ballance right...

EMF vs Urge Overkill
w1NAfxS0S-A I'm a Believer by Vic & Bob & EMF PwGLJk_bySc Urge Overkill - Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon So what's the best reading of an Neil Diamond song by an alternative or indie band??? and are there any more you know of (not that any Indie band members are gonna turn up in the Audience on ITV1 tonight  )

Six Degrees
Yeah I'm watching it - tho with the cast and cancellation you think why wasnt it made into an indie-film in the first place

Ant & Dec, Baddiel and Skinner, Lightning Seeds, Wonderstuff
P4NzmMycZIM Ant & Dec - We're On The Ball uEb0X9NEX0I Baddiel and Skinner / Lightning Seeds - 3 Lions 4nQItOROYlc EnglandNewOrder - World in Motion elIZNwzCMyw Chumbawamba - Top Of The World (Ole Ole Ole) NG-RmaD2Mic Del Amitri - Don't Come Home Too Soon Well I doubt that (at least) the Top 40 won't be full up with load and loads of footy songs this year - though with 3 Lions having been a massive hit in Germany (and covered by Dutch band the Hermes House Band no less!!!) I wonder to what extent can each of these songs work out of context away from the idea of the English/Scottish football associations like a good pop song like the one below... Do you think they be enjoyed as much internationally or is that assocation too strong... 565VoXgSTgc Dizzy - Vic Reeves and the Wonderstuff

Would a Song Contest be good going down the GMT - Universal
Omg! hadnt thought of that...tho does it go out live over there or is it shown the next day? and do all the Russian republics get the show? or is it just in St Petes/Moscow? I think a trans-atlantic competition would be better - could do it live if it went out about 4pm in New York - and you could include many places like USA, UK, Ireland, France, Canada, Jamaica, Brazil, Spain, Portugal - but obv excluding Eastern Europe
-
Would Eurovision be better if Simon Cowell was added???
well i wasnt thinking about replaing Wogan as comentator - but having industry execs voting as well / giving guidence over the songs....whoever it will be (tho as far as Britain's Got Talent - my parents actually think Cowell has actually got the best points of the 3 judges - actually is mostly spot on in his opinions)

Diaspora voting clearly does happen, though if there are that many Poles living in Germany and France I'm not sure why they don't vote for themselves tbh. But France giving Turkey, Armenia and Israel votes year after year IS because of the Turks, Armenians and Israelis living there, unless you're suggesting that French people just happen to like those entries every year. :P Same goes with the Netherlands and Belgium voting for Turkey and Armenia, Germany voting for Turkey, Denmark voting for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Spain voting for Romania, Portugal voting for Ukraine, and to some extent the United Kingdom voting for Greece and Turkey... Well its hard to say what extent diaspora voting has on the outcome - as its hard to say whether all the Poles in the UK are actually watching the ESC, out drinking at Walkabout, working in a hotel or whatever at that time...(tho as far as the normal Top 75 goes i think it would be good if Polish songs made an entry on downloads...i guess there is a whole lot of stuff going beneath the radar of the charts) ....and also its hard to say whether all the votes where counted properly or an Ant&Dec accident happened to them

United Kingdom about to lose guaranteed final status?
Well thats what I believed too but Jim Beanz will be one of Timbaland associates - so this is probs where the confusion is... But by then the analogue signal will have been switched off and so there might be an increase in viewers to these additional stations like BBC Three and ITV2 - so you dont know if BBC One and ITV1 will still be such frontline channels then...

New Order's Krafty - would be great for Sugababes
Well I think it would with airplay and not like it being the 9th single of an album or something like that - and i guess most people probs wouldnt think that it was a N.O. cover unless they were told so
-
The Fratellis - Here We Stand
yeah had some great pop songs on the first - tho Mistress Mabel needs to be heard more - hasnt grown on me yet
-
Indie Soundclash 10
and at least we got rid of that Benny Hill rip-off
-
The Zutons >> You Can Do Anything
Love the album cover - but I've heard the album is not supposed to be very good - probs more intersting playing Shack, Fleetwood Mac and the Black Crowes all at once
-
Wild Beasts new album out on Domino on June 16th.
yeah - Assembly was brilliant...tho I guess some people might think its the most annoying approximation of a pre-Hotdogjumpingfrog Paddy McAloon trying to sing Kimono My House while doing a Billy Mackenzie impersonation...tho I guess if a pre-Hotdogjumpingfrog Paddy McAloon did try to sing the whole of Kimono My House while doing a Billy Mackenzie impersonation it would be a gazillion times better than whatever Mika can come up with  PgfX8BZfHhc

The Incredible Hulk
I wouldnt say its utter cack - there are loadsa other worse superhero films you could be watching however it wasnt really a big popcorn superhero movie - a big traditional b.o. friendly fuperhero film - has a different modus operandi to those being of a more 'arthouse sensibility' you know with Ang Lee making very much an Ang Lee film going at Ang Lee pace

MGM lines up 'Robocop', 'Red Dawn' remakes
Tbh I didnt get that far...and it wasnt even worth half-watching while I read empire magazine
