someone has less credibilty than Dannii Minogue?!?!? Are you talking about the right Minogue - even Brendan has more cred  - wouldnt it be equal cred to dannii minogue??? or are you adding the fact that she's kylies sister (and maybe Victor von Doom as well) to the equasion  maybe both should be replaced by someone in a silmilar genre with much more talent - how about Sabrina Salerno... CDr8AE4VElI or maybe Alexa Chung    tLhvfmX94zA

Heard Nelson on the radio a few weeks ago on an indie show presented by what sounds like rejects from the used car roadshow - liked it, went out and found some stuff of their in the random releases shop and then bought it...and now they are on the cover of artrocker!!!! which is bad as a) it was the cover of artrocker and therefore supposed to be like the coolest band in the whole of scenesterhipsterdom and B) this low-rent Pete And Geoff that i had come across who'se banter i interprepted as a general sub-mark & lard uselessness unless talking about the monocrome set might actually know what they are talking about....damn...wish i knew who they were!!!

well I was wondering if recent events in India would help this film's Oscar fight...
4. but wasnt "Rosenrot" really not a proper album but an odds n sodds collection of left-overs....maybe we should compare it to something more like Prospeckt's March (i wonder if Rammstein will be having a coldplay vibe on their newbie   ) - something that could easily be packaged with the parent album as a bonus...
5. well it was probably writen roundabout the 91-93 period  - but yeah you may have a point to some extent with that and also it could be disagreed upon as it could be seen as being a very modern rock album and more of the times (well using the former journo cliché du-jour Zeitgeist is like far too passé now isnt it - tho Mr. Corgan may disagree  ) because of the revivalist nature of rock - tho even tho I guess G'n'R/Skid Row/Extreme was metal once it would be seen as being in the classic rock genre now (and Smashing Pumpkins maybe as well) but tbh how things are at the moment and with the increased in readership to classic rock mag probs a little more cedible than a magazine running an interview with the datsuns this month (tho Smashing Pumpkins might be on the same level as the datsuns after their last album?!?!?)
6. it's worse than that as a lot of it sounds like a bad scouting for girls/mcfly tribute band trying to out do the darkness's number 2
7. which could be seen as being quite ironic seeing it's cool frenchness is now being co-opted to flog renaults in the uk... tho i also wonder if Nico & Vlad would suit the Dacia Sandero (however perhaps they could use the romanian band Taxi as a soundbed as i guess that what most Dacia's will end up as  whilst Rednex's RailRoad, RailRoad might give out the wrong idea of the bargain sized motoring experience on offer) http://www.e-transport.ro/_files/newscustom/DACIA%20SANDERO%20GENEVA%202008.jpg - and here's hoping that Richard Hammond doesnt become Terry Wogan's replacement in whatever capacity it may be (tho wouldnt mind James May at eurovision)
8. i guess they are not thinking in terms of flop or hit theese days - just keep going if the aud wants it - tho it would be good if it got in the 75 so in future years when looking at a new virgin hit book you'll come across it and think yeah - thats the tune...
9. my fave 'indie' type xmas song: Mew - She Came Home For Christmas!!!! i6T0bN8g6xs any others of xmasy indieness that you like?
10. B)--> QUOTE(Neil B @ Dec 1 2008, 08:42 AM) 231505025. THE WEDDING PRESENT - "NO CHRISTMAS" http://991.com/newGallery/Wedding-Present-No-Christmas---12-11822.jpg Entered chart/reached No.25 w/e 19/12/92 Weeks on chart : 1 This was the last of their monthly singles in 1992, all of which made the Top 30. B)--> QUOTE(Neil B @ Dec 1 2008, 01:43 PM) 2315272 It's not particularly memorable I have to admit. The B-side is better :) Well I'm guessing if it was part of a monthly singles scheme by the wedding present..im guessing that it wouldnt have been that memorable in 1992 - i guess unlike wham, pogues or elton it would have got one play on the top 40 and thats about it never to be heard again (apart from by fans in a boxset situation)..just think they released 12 montly singles that all reached the top 30 thanks to their fans base - just think if someone like the view were to do something like that the chart positions for the year would read #46, #78 #127 #178 #145 #166 #145 #127 #167 #209 #217 #N/C - not even the cure could reach the 75 with all their singles this year... B)--> QUOTE(Neil B @ Dec 1 2008, 01:43 PM) 2315272There are a couple more but they're post-year 2000 so I won't mention them here :D however i will - my fave indie type xmas song: Mew - She Came Home For Christmas!!!! i6T0bN8g6xs

well yeah i like this kinda stuff too (but wouldnt say i'm a fan because i'm not really a fan of anyone tbh)...however if you havent already get yourself down to woolies if it hasnt already closed down in your street as you can pick up a comp of this kinda stuff (but obv out of copyright early 1950s stuff) with people like Sarah Vaughan too for £1 (prob even cheaper with the 15% VAT and adminstration clearences  )
13. I have heard this before but didnt know it was a totp-worthy hit....also i think Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews were involved with a few other hits in ireland with a bizzare tribute band called the joshua trio - which i think was the u2 back catelogue done in the style of the frank and walters....
14. I wonder what the Artrocker really totally uncool list would be this year?? like this i'm guessing? 01 Jon McClure, Reverend & The Makers 02 Carl Barat 03 Lethal Bizzle 04 Eva Spence, Rolo Tomassi 05 Matt Bellamy, Muse 06 Brian Fallon, The Gaslight Anthem 07 Gruff Rhys, Neon Neon 08 Karen O, Yeah Yeah Yeahs 09 Tom Vain – S.C.U.M. 10 Shunda K, Yo Majesty 11 Robert Plant 12 Robbie Furze, The Big Pink 13 Jason Pierce, Spiritualized 14 Brandon Flowers, The Killers 15 Frank Carter, Gallows 16 Little Boots 17 DJ Mujava 18 Josh Homme, Queens Of The Stone Age 19 Lovefoxxx, CSS 20 Rivers Cuomo, Weezer 21 Will Roan, Amazing Baby 22. 15. I havent actually listened to their stuff or found anything cheap in the £3 sale by them (C'mon C'mon EMI you had the Butthole Surfers in the sale a few weeks ago!!!)...but they (lux interior and Poison Ivy) sound interesting and i guess i probs would like them liking the b-52s and the raveonettes...and i guess anybody who's entire uk chart hitography consists of a couple of great song titles that make you wanna investigate (eg bikini girls with machine guns) is alright by me...btw can your pussy do the dog?
16. and a live review in a certain 'we're so much better than all this mainsteam 'indie' stuff your listening to as we're so damn cool and alternative but actually really living under a misguided pretension as we're really only one step up from fanzine quality and probs worse than the nme (or maybe the enemy) but obv our disc-iples can't read the nme as thats owned by time warner and therefore almost as bad as q owned by the bloody germans' art rock magazine that i'm not at liberties to mention at this time (tho its on page 74 if your intersted and stuck in borders wanting something to look at) supported by ted chippington of Rockin' With Rita i suppose non-fame Qq7yCyxb4rU
17. and Tom Artrocker as well    (have you read the latest Santogold single review in there???) I'm guessing the Q magazine crowd rather than artrocker crowd...tho i'm not too sure as maybe the Q icrowd s actually what the artrocker crowd becomes when they are 40+
18. Yes as cheesy hi-nrg eurodisco goes they are one of the best - their best tune is imo Ready For The Victory...and in a similar vibe - Right Said Fred's Mojive is great too (the bloke behind U96 remix below) U6CzZVWiVBE Modern Talking - Ready For The Victory 1PrFB1eLJUg Modern talking vs Scooter "Win the race" 1OKTkeV9tpo Right Siad Fred - Mojive

Was listening to a Right Said Fred DVD this week and I've come to the conclusion that Dipply Dippy could be seen as one of the first britpop songs - it is almost so proto-Dodgy Good Enough that it hurts to think about it (but obv Dipply Dippy is much better than Dodgy)!!!!
20. wasnt it supposed to be like an electronic hip-hop genre? isnt it or something like that - i think thats how it was kinds categorized by Jazzie B on a bbc4 show i watched
21. PWbm3y1Ka_A Right Said Fred - I'm A Celebrity This is brilliant - with great sugestive lyrics that can only make you smile - though I'm guessing this will be a remix rather than the radio edit..which would be a shame if it isn't the radio edit....so do you think the mojiving duo were a bit pissed off that they didn't get to appear on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here the other year???
22. if it gets to #1 would Wogan be the oldest 'singer' to get to the top??? Mark Radcliffe covers 'Right Said Fred' - so I'm guessing that will be Bernard Cribbins rather than Deeply Dippy (whereby the Fairbrass Brothers invent Britpop) or You're my mate....so seeing Radcliffe's broadcast seem to consist of him going um-ey-erh for about half an hour maybe he should have covered Scatman John instead!!!
23. but acts like Take That are massive on airplay - like #1 and girls aloud is getting like 2775 plays on national radio per week - so obv gonna be a big hit
24. isnt that pointless tho - as it will get ignored by everybody buying the pogues again...would be better coming out in Jan...
25. I read Edwards obit in the paper the other day - and seeing as Edwards wasnt pronounced legally dead until a couple of days ago - coulnt he be on the list instead as the vibe was very much touching on the we're the punk band who are gonna make one album and split up kinda vibe/torchered artist carving 4 real into his arm when Edwards was in the band..and then when he disappeared the band turned into this big stadium-rock beast on a level to U2 (tho probs it could be said that U2 as big stadium rock beasts could be seen as being more intersting overall - tho maybe MSP are on a similar level to Bryan Adams...but with out the nuddie pictures of P!nk)
