  1. So I was on wikipedia...which i know isnt very reliable but they have two sourced articles which state that Robyn is releasing 'Call Your Girlfriend' as her next single and that its going to be out May 16th...has anyone else heard anything? I hope its true as i love that song! although i still think i like Time Machine a little more.

Sorry if it's been asked but when is the baby due? it can't be too much longer now.

Another top 10 for Kesha! she's done amazingly well so far, thats 6 in a row for her! glad to see P!nk holding at 4, i can't believe Bruno and Cee Lo are STILL stop 10, they've been out for ever...im also cheering for keri hilson! im glad she's top 30 now, i wish she was top 10 i love this song, but im glad its had a pretty stable chart run so far, i guess this is gonna be a slow burner.
  4. Actually Get Right only made #12 in the US, i think the last time she was top 5 was when she featured on the LL Cool J song 'Control Myself' which made #4 in 2006, but the last time one of her own songs made top 5 was her song 'All I Have' which coincidently featured LL Cool J, it hit #1 back in 2003.
  5. Yep she's top 5 this week! she jumps four spots to #5! I read it on yahoo music news, not bad glad shes back in business again
  6. hmm its tough as i know of some artists that have had one big top 10/20 hit (not #1) and no follow ups, but as far as an artist hitting #1, the only one i can think of right now is Diana Vickers...but that might be a bit of a premature call as she has yet to put forth her second album...but as it stands her follow ups, Boy Who Murdered Love and My Wicked Heart, have hit #36 and #13 (i know its top 20 but it fell out of the top 75 after just 3 weeks, hardly a hit)
  7. Im surprised at how well she's doing so far! i never thought she'd see the top 10 again considering Brave and its singles were flops as well as Louboutins despite a high profile performance, although in all fairness it was a crap song, but im glad this song has helped revive her career again!
  8. It is nice to hear her honesty about how she feels on how the singles have done, a lot of times when singles under-perform artists just put on a smile and pretend like it never happened when asked about it regardless of how they feel, but kylie has been pretty honest with a lot of stuff this era, she also admitted she wasn't happy with Body Language and X as albums on the whole either this era. But It must be upsetting for an artist to see something they've worked hard on and thought for sure would be a hit, flop. I never thought Get Outta My Way would miss the top 10 but it did. Hopefully though this means for her next album they'll really push hard to make sure the singles are hits, personally i think she should have 2 singles out before the album, the first single should be a solid track to get everyone pumped then one or two weeks before the album drops put out the obvious smash hit that will generate the hype for album sales. The result would hopefully be two top 10 singles before the album drops. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  9. Actually according to Billboards site, both All The Lovers and Get Outta My Way also achieved the top spot on that chart, but i made a mistake in saying this was BTT's second week at #1, its it's first, but still impressive, Love At First Sight, Slow, and Can't Get You Outta My Head also hit #1 on it as well.
  10. Can't wait for new jordin material, it is sad she's so underrated, the battlefield album was amazing, i really wish Walking On Snow and No Parade were released as singles, im still surprised SOS flopped in the US, especially given that Battlefield did quite well, hopefully though this new song will give her a big hit.
  11. Just thought id mention that Better Than Today went #1 on the US Dance/Club Play Songs chart, well actually this is its second week apparently, i know its not a major US chart but its still nice to see it go #1 somewhere!
  12. P!nk usually hits the nail on the head when it comes to tugging on the heartstrings, songs is particular are: I don't Believe You (such a heartbreaking song, and video) Who Knew (that last chorus gets me everytime) Glitter In The Air (beautiful yet simple lyrics, loved it on the album, and the live performances brought it to new levels) Dear Mr. President (I guess I agree with a lot of what she sings in this song, and even if you don't its still a very emotional track, and that video that plays behind her during concerts is pretty sad) F**king Perfect (great song, great message, and same with the video can't help but get choked up) Other songs that have have made me emotional: S Club 7 - Say Goodbye (i know, i know, its S Club 7 but that song was really sad) Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone (the video is so sad) Alicia Keys - ESOM Part II (just love her voice and her lyrics on this) Robyn - Be Mine (perfect song during a bad time for me) Kylie Minogue - I Believe In You (ballad version) (when i saw her in NYC she sang this version and it was so beautiful) B*witched - It Was Our Day (haven't listened to this in a while, but this song was about Edele and Keavy's grandmother who passed away so it was a pretty touching song)
  13. If they came to the US i'd freak! im sure they'd love to do a show in New York, they probably wouldnt be able to do a huge venue like MSG, but they could def do a nicely sized one. And you'd be surprised at how many people in the US know of them. Ive seen quite a few artists from the UK/Europe play in the city at sold out venues, (VV Brown, Little Boots, Alphabeat etc.) granted they weren't huge venues but still, hell robyn sold out radio city earlier this month, and she hasnt had any mainstream success here since the early 90's. If Cheryl's profile does get a boost surely they'll be able to do something.
  14. Are we only talking about the UK only? cuz in terms of the US, I wonder if Keep Holding On by Avril was intended to be as big a hit as it was? it got to #17 and went platinum and it never even had a music video to help promote it as it was only for a movie soundtrack. Also Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway, it was used in the the princess diaries 2 movie and ended up getting to #6 and also went platinum, but again i dont think it was expected it to become a major hit. As far as the UK it was pleasantly surprising to see Robyn's song Be Mine end up going top 10 especially after Handle Me only made it to #17. But i wonder if the record company knew this would be be a top 10.
  15. She looks really pretty there, not entirely sure about the outfit, but i love her hair, i agree is much better than how it looked during the sweet 7 era, hope it stays this way!
  16. #1 on the hot 100 already? Is the chart for this week published yet? she must have sold a rediculous amount to get it cuz radio surley hasnt kicked in full yet, I mean p!nk was #1 for a whole week n still couldn't get it, Im glad she got #1 but the fact bad romance never got #1 and this did is still a crime to me.
  17. Her other albums have charted as so Can't Take Me Home: 26 M!ssunazstood: 6 Try This: 9 I'm Not Dead: 6 Funhouse: 2 they've all gone platinum as well, the first two were multi-platinum.
  18. I think I saw Jade and Heidi standing in disguise at the door at 0:11 :kink:
  19. I like it, its fun, not her best, but its catchy, i think some people are over-exaggerating by calling it the worst song they've heard this year, there has been way worse songs, not to mention she's been "un-original" before, Alejandro, although my favorite song of hers, is a clone of Ace of Base's don't turn around and she's channeled Madonna before in Dance In The Dark with the whole celebrity naming rap thing, and Telephone could have been sung by anyone, I ignored all the hype for this anyway, so i'm enjoying it.
  20. Her greatest hits has a new peak in the US...#9 :cheer: glad to see it finally reached the top 10, F**ckin perfect has really helped a lot! Here's the chart run so far: 14-29-37-38-34-32-25-20-19-15-11-9
  21. I'd say Robyn's whole 'body talk' series... Dancing On My Own...reached #8 but fell really fast Hang With Me...#54 Indestructible...#171  Body Talk pt. 1...#47 Body Talk pt. 2...#38 Body Talk pt.3...#168 like really? the body talk albums are amazing and the singles have been pretty much perfect, and how Indestructible couldn't even get into the top 75 is just appalling, its still shocks me why she isn't one the biggest singers out there right now as everything she does is good.
  22. I wish she'd go back to the look she had in the Pokerface/lovegame/eh eh era, that was such a cute look for her (the straight hair with the bangs).
  23. I think she could still be successful, you never know these days, i think she needs to come back with one killer single though, another "i can feel you" and she'll be done for good, but if she can come out with something along the lines of LOA, PMD, or ODIYL i think she could get a sizeable hit and a fairly decent selling album as long as the follow up singles are just as good. I think she has a better shot across europe than the UK but again you never know, if she's marketed right and returns to her trademark sound it could definitely regenerate the hype that was lost with the last album.
  24. I'm happy but slightly dissapointed at the same time, im really happy she got another top 5 single as this is the first time for her in the US to have two songs from one album hit top 5 but i was really expecting her to be #1 especially after being #1 on itunes for so long, im so over bruno mars and that song is so overrated, i really hope she can manage to climb to #1 next week. Although another plus is the album now has a new peak of #11 on the Billboard 200!! maybe that can make it into the top 10 next week.
  25. It's really a shame what's happened to her, i actually do like Night Is Young, i didn't at first but it grew on me a lot, but i'm shocked it or the album couldn't chart at all, and to think Loose was a huge worldwide success and spawned two US #1's, i think she left the scene way too long and people got over her, she should have waited to do the spanish album and also the greatest hits was pointless as well, i think if she had done another english studio album and put it out back in '09 or something she'd probably still be relevant now.
