The Album Chart - Extreme Fluidity with top positions
Considering the singles chart is pretty dull some weeks, with very little to no movement - the album chart seems to be the most fluid especially with the top positions. This week potentially sees Robbie Williams going from top to missing the top 40 potentially, and runner-up Ozzy Osbourne going from 2nd to nowhere. Throw in Yungblud suffering a huge drop from 1st to somewhere in the 70s. What is actually going on here? Are many of these sales front-loaded by fan bases of said acts? Are many of these acts who don't seem to have a look-in on the singles chart using the album chart to promote themselves? Or is this due to the lack of big name releases with albums?

Any chance of a video of the Latto / DJ Khaled / Mariah remake? Deserves Top 10. How are Bad Boy Chiller Crew still there?

Just seen the Cheeky Girls song - not bad. A bit of a retro 2000s pop vibe to it.

Why don't they bring in a jury system to stop a stale chart? Do the top 100 from 1 to 100 and times the positions by sales. Would stop stagnancy and punish a few untalented acts.

With the state the singles chart is in, is it any wonder very few people are interested? I do think 2022 is looking perhaps a very weak year, and it doesn't help with social media contributing to a stale chart and mediocre acts. You compare now to say 2012 or even 1985; the standard has fallen big time. At least everyone had the chance to get a hit. The album chart is more fluid and I feel more respective of diversity, despite the fluid turnover. Even the latter makes it more fun!

OMG I do! That was a decent Britney styled bop. Yeah this girl is just a basic singer with rich parents.
