Shura 'Nothing's Real'
I discovered this vocalist on accident on Spotify and wow! She has such a soulful and sexy voice. "2shy" very retro and very 80s but a gorgeous track. Should be a big hit this should. I do like "Indecision" too.

Sunday Chart Predictions (Friday Update)
Who is buying Collabro? The people buying that need their heads testing.

Station Charts - 1/6/15 (From Radiomonitor)
Heart need to shake up their play-list. If I hear "Rather Be" again, I will personally scream and as for "Happy" rising, well it makes me unhappy!! You need a radio comission in force to make stations shake up their playlists.

85% Proof 25th May
Bought this album Friday - finally got chance to listen to it today and giving it a back to back listen as I am impressed with it! Like the mix of upbeat and ballads - defintely worth the wait!! I love him.

It was in response to someone saying he is good-looking. Looks aside it's a good song.

He has a nasal voice - sings through his nose instead of his mouth. Hope Lawson can nick a Top 10 - yes Andy (the lead) is a hottie.

Streaming is killing the charts
I respect viewpoints from both sides, and I do see the pros and cons of it especially as it's a new thing. What annoys me is, it feels as if the chart is engineered - ie certain songs have to go to #1, certain acts have to be around etc. Perhaps have a mercy rule where if a song spends over 40 weeks in the chart, it gets disqualified? What isn't helping is radio. A lot of stations have tight playlists and repeat songs over and over. Perhaps some sort of comission to stop overplaying of songs?

Who is buying that little shite Justin Beiber?

Streaming is killing the charts
I am sorry but I feel the inclusion of streaming has killed the singles chart. There is little to no movement, and it feels as if the chart is being engineered to favour certain acts and labels. It's the biggest mistake the OCC made including this and it's unfair on those acts who have missed out on the summit or even a Top 40 place due to this biased system. Will the OCC realise a mistake has been made or are we stuck with it?

ultimate one hit wonders of the millennium
"Let It Go", this forum has some very daft and tone-deaf members who voted in this. Glad that little whore/pros/slag Alyssa Reid didn't make it. 2014 was a hard one to rank, very bad year musically unless your a clubber.

No hit wonders anyone?
I LOVE ANNIE!!! That song is strange, but oh so catchy. Didn't Woolworths (RIP) cock up with the order hence the low place? She should have been #1 with that track, in fact all of her songs!

Is there room for another UK girlband on the market?
Now the Saturdays have decided to go their seperate ways, in which in my view they outstayed their welcome as their output was getting more and more medicore - is there room for another UK girlband on the market? At the moment Little Mix are on a break and recording for the third album, I am not sure what has happened with Neon Jungle as I know the album didn't sell well and their last single with the home-made video flopped. The American ones like Fifth Harmony and G.R.L. are a bit too American for British taste, the latter sadly will be forever known as a one-hit wonder despite the tragic loss of a member. Personally, I think we need one more UK girlband - and one that is PURE POP! Not this selling out to America bollocks, but a proper band. We need another Spice Girls/Girls Aloud sort of sounding group again.

ultimate one hit wonders of the millennium
2009 10 Daughtry - What About Now (Awesome song, way better than the Westlife cover. Chris Daughtry is one sexy m-f) 09 Young Soul Rebels - I Got Soul (One of the best charity records) 08 The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition (Indie classic) 07 A.R. Rahman & The Pussycat Dolls feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) (I do love this) 06 Agnes - Release Me (Classic, shame she never had big career here) 05 Esmee Denters - Outta Here (Underrated) 04 Journey - Don't Stop Believin' (Original better than the Glee massacre) 03 Mini Viva - Left My Heart In Tokyo (It is a good song, but I can find better) 02 Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band - The Official BBC Children In Need Medley (This isn't a troll vote - rather good) 01 Marmaduke Duke - Rubber Lover (Underrated) 2010 10 Daisy Dares You feat. Chipmunk - Number One Enemy (This is a great song) 09 Girls Can't Catch - Echo (Underrated - better than their first single. What are they doing now?) 08 Joshua Radin - I'd Rather Be With You (Great ballad, he got better as his career is progressing) 07 Pepper & Piano - You Took My Heart (Very Adele-esque, shame they never got bigger career wise) 06 Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup - We No Speak Americano (Thanks "The Inbetweeners" first movie) 05 The Trashmen - Surfin' Bird (Not a troll vote, it is that good) 04 Edward Maya feat. Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love (Great track) 03 Brandon Flowers - Crossfire (Love this, looking forward to the second solo album) 02 Sidney Samson feat. Wizard Sleeve - Riverside (Let's Go) (Underrated dance track) 01 Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Yeah, it's a good tune) Anyone who gives X-Factor/Willow Smith points needs their ears checking. 2011 10 Delilah - Go (So sensual, and a great song - be more sexual if a man sang it in this style) 09 Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks (Indie classic) 08 Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat (Love this - shame she isn't popular here) 07 Sak Noel - Loca People (Reminds me of my first holiday abroad in Spain) 06 Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go (Great cover) 05 Parade - Louder (Shame they never had a big career - did that second album EVER happen?) 04 Martin Solveig & Dragonette - Hello (Great dance type track) 03 The Goo Goo Dolls - Iris (Classic) 02 Lloyd feat. Andre 3000 & Lil' Wayne - Dedication To My Ex (Miss That) (I like this, but google "Klaartje en Nicky" the "I miss that loving" part rips this song off) 01 Diddy-Dirty Money feat. Skylar Grey - Coming Home (This really is making up the numbers)

Election Day Number 1s
So for 2015 - "Cheerleader" by Omi - could be appropriate for any supporters of the political parties :)
-
Election Day Number 1s
If Carly makes it tonight (I hope not), a song suitable for Mr Milliband and Ms Sturegon?
-
Election Day Number 1s
If you look at it, all of them in one way are inappropriate/appropriate to the result. I do agree about "Stay" - then again the dark video seems to fit the Tories. "Bright Eyes" a song about death, could (whatever you side are on) be a preminition of life under the Tories with the death of the industries in this country under Maggie's reign of terror. "Angel" and "Amarillo" - well a lot of people were better off under Labour and sums up the mood of the people at the time, rather upbeat. "Every Breath You Take" the Iron Bitch's threat to people.

Election Day Number 1s
Perhaps Roll Deep should re-record it as "Bad Times" and all what they intend to do be the failures of the coalition?

Non-Top 75 Flops
Chaka Khan - "Through the Fire" #78 in 1985. Found a lease of life on that prat Kayne West's "Throught the wire" but the original is a gorgeous power ballad. Again, why wasn't this a bigger hit? ymuWb8xtCsc

Non-Top 75 Flops
I love that Mandy Smith song - shame she never had a hit :( "Madonna Eyes" is one of Jennifer Rush's best after "The Power of Love". I love the Dead or Alive track - good piece of t***** pop. #79 in February 1991 - "Secret" by Heart (Why the hell wasn't this a big hit!!): k-JpBjLXVkI "Love Hurts" by Barbara Dickson - made #153 (Zobbel supplied the information) was the theme tune to "Band of Gold" a drama series about prostitutes - she was in it hlGKjHDWkbg

Election Day Number 1s
As we head to the polls on Thursday, this is a list of #1s on election day: 2010 - Roll Deep - "Good Times" 2005 - Tony Christie ft Peter Kay - "Is This The Way to Amirilo" 2001 - Shaggy ft Rayvon - "Angel" 1997 - Michael Jackson - "Blood On The Dancefloor" 1992 - Shakespears Sister - "Stay" 1987 - Whitney Houston - "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" 1983 - The Police - "Every Breath You Take" 1979 - Art Garfunkel - "Bright Eyes" (Not a love song for Maggie lol) 1974 oct - John Denver - "Annie's Song" 1974 feb - Suzi Quatro - "Devil Gate Drive" 1970 - Mungo Jerry - "In The Summertime" 1966 - Walker Brothers - "The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore" 1964 - Roy Orbison - "Pretty Woman" 1959 - Craig Douglas - "Only Sixteen" 1955 - Tony Bennett - "Stranger In Paradise" Not really a vintage list I may add. The Jacko song could be a metaphor for the Tories heavy deafeat that year. I remember another landslide on the 3rd of May, the UK's last Eurovision win with Katrina and the Waves.
