Let’s be honest they knew exactly what publicity those lyric’s would produce. Leona Lewis has always seemed to stay on good terms with Simon after she left the record label and was a guest on X Factor numerous times as well as being a judge with him after she left so she couldn’t have that much of a problem with Simon.

I do think it’s a shame they had to reference Simon Cowell for a bit of publicity. When that’s the sort cheap tactics Syco and Simon would have done.

This song is nothing groundbreaking but my god the chorus is catchy. I’ve had it stuck in my head since I heard it this morning. The Simon says lyrics are clearly there to generate publicity though.

The song itself is quite good the problem is that it doesn’t sound anything like a Gary Barlow song so it could be putting a lot of Gary Barlow/Take That fans off. It sounds more like a Michael Bublé lead single. Then again what is a Gary solo song supposed to sound like as his last album could of easily been a Take That album.

It’s really no different to her previous singles as it’s basically a CamelPhat collab in all but name. I have had a sneaky listen to it though and it’s sounding brilliant on first listen.

Loving this! Kind of wish this was the lead single though much better than ‘Happiness’ for me. This performed live on BGT would of been brilliant.

It's a good song but Gary is long past getting hit singles that's why it's released on a Wednesday as it's all about album sales. Then again the way 2020 has been going Gary Barlow and Michael Buble getting a hit single wouldn't shock me.

I would of expected that sort of rule from Boris but not from Nicola in Scotland. It’s basically another eat out to help out scheme without the government having to spend a penny. More people will be going out for a meal or a drink just to catch up with friends when they would of just probably had a coffee in the house.

Scotland’s restrictions are a weird one. You can’t go round to someone’s house but you can meet them inside a pub or restaurant. Surely that will just make pubs and restaurants busier. Anybody would think that’s what the Scottish government want.

So they basically want to make it look like they are doing something about rising cases as well as getting the money from pubs being open as they know people will just go out earlier.

As it’s on the BBC they can’t be seen to overly promote one artist. Just the same when Let It Shine was looking for the next Take That. It didn’t have Take That on apart from I think one performance and it was a classic not a new single from their album at the time. The show will help the album slightly but not much. Wouldn’t be surprised if Kylie pops up for a performance during the final or something.
