Toxic. An absolute pop masterclass and an incredible video, deservedly Britney's most recognisable pop moment (alongside ...Baby). It's not even my favourite song off In the Zone but it never gets old for me. E.T. is great, if a little problematic but I guess nothing of Katy's isn't. Still quite surprised to see her outlast most of these other artists but it is testament to her pretty great selection of singles on the whole.

Pleasantly surprised at Nuclear Seasons surviving, though I'm gutted to see 5 in the Morning gone :'( Went with Boys again.

Super tough choice between Oops!... and Untouchable! Britney is the rightful winner of this thing but I think Untouchable has the edge over it for being such a perfect almost-end to the band that's interestingly quite different (maybe not structurally?) to everything else they'd done. I'm a total sucker for the post-trance sound which certainly helps. Oops! is magical though, perfect video and an iconic song. I listened to the album for the first time recently and it's a shame that it's very much the template for a lot of the album tracks but it is also... a very good template. Dark Horse is great but not close to the top 2 and not a real favourite of mine out of Katy's singles anymore. Definitely ahead of its time with the superior pre-chorus to the actual chorus ^_^

It's a pity that her solo music doesn't get nearly as much attention as the features - even if I don't admittedly come back to a lot of it as much as the features myself, Losing, Warm & Rude Love alone should've merited her a Jess Glynne-sized push. Though I guess she can settle for being the most well-known The Voice UK contestant unless I'm wrong and Esmée Denters and/or Leah McFall are bigger names :lol:
