  1. It almost spent the whole 2 years in the top 75, too...it charted at #77 this week.

The Portraits did a better version of Together in Electric Dreams last year, I think.
  3. Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me actually charted last week in the top 100. It seems to be growing in popularity recently.
  4. 300k I reckon. Especially if it gets good reviews.
  5. I predict #1 on download charts, with big download numbers. Top 5 overall.
  6. 6 ALL TIME LOVE WILL YOUNG 3 2006 7 WHO AM I WILL YOUNG 11 2006 These should be ahead of the Gareth duet. A bit surprised by the low sales overall, to be honest - I would have thought that Leave Right Now and Jealousy would be close to million sellers, if not already there.
  7. Yeah, Bleeding Love is definitely the highest in pure sales. Watermelon Sugar and Say You Won't Let Go must be pretty close in terms of worldwide consumption, though. They are the only 2 X Factor songs to pass 1 billion Spotify streams.
  8. With the show being cancelled, and looking at all the acts who had charting songs, it has made me think of who the best acts that never charted are! I'd go for Danyl Johnson and Grace Davies.
  9. Simple Plan - What's New Scooby-Doo? Why has this been released now?! XD
  10. 50. Charlotte Campbell - Mr. Brightside I actually love this cover! It's very different, but it works.

I don't believe Sam & Mark has ever been released digitally, so possibly it will be the only one of the list to never get there?
  12. So they could have charted if people had bought the new vinyl version this year! I kind of feel it's more special to sell a million without ever charting.
  13. Today I found myself thinking: in an era where songs can not hit the top 100 but still rack up 100s of millions o streams, there must be some tracks that have never charted that have racked up pretty incredible sales! Does anyone know what the top-selling song(s) to not chart is?

This seems like a bizarre interpretation of "one hit wonders". Mika has had 4 top 40 albums, so surely that counts as 4 top 40 hits? A more accurate look at album one hit wonders would talk about some of these artists: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_one-h...UK_Albums_Chart Steve Brookstein's debut album: #1, with 105,338 sales. His 2nd album: missed the top 100, with 3,632 sales. That is a one hit-wonder. This article counts some artists who haven't had #1 album, so it is completely at odds with the usual chart definition of a "one hit wonder".
  15. Credit to him for releasing an original song, although I am bemused by The Voice still being a thing. Last year's winner has an album coming out on CD in April, despite the fact that none of her singles made the top 100...back in the day, winning a reality show would get you at least one hit. Last year's winner might be the first winner of a recent reality TV show to never appear on the charts.

Blazin' Squad - Crossroads - Silver - 2002 Do they have to split this award 12 ways? XD
  17. Oh, I was thinking more of the singles in the immediate lead-up to the album being released! But yeah, I wasn't clear. Like, he had a #11 hit in 2017, and another top 40 song in 2018 and early 2019, but the album didn't come out until late 2019. In that year, one song got to #25, but the next 4 singles all missed the top 75, including ones released right before the album was out! That's what I was thinking about.
  18. Will be interesting to see how James Arthur does. He had a 10 top hit with Sigala last year, and a song from 2016 making the top 20 due to TikTok, but no song from his 3rd album made the to 75, despite it challenging for #1 in the charts. Would be nice to see this one do well.
  19. Nothing by Aston rising the charts?
  20. Yeah, I found it bizarre. Captain Tom wasn't a singer, and the song is 80% Michael Ball.
  21. Sea Shanty - Wellerman Who is this? Very generic artist name...
  22. According to Wikipedia, only 2 of their singles have not been certified Silver or better: Word Up! and One I've Been Missing. That is some consistency!

3 NEW Gerry & The Pacemakers - The Best of Gerry & The Pacemakers They haven't made the album chart since the 60s, so it would be lovely to see them make a splash given the passing of Gerry yesterday.
  24. The Kunts actually have more Spotify streams for the 3 versions of their single than LadBaby has in total for all 3 of his number 1s! I don't think LadBaby pushes streaming at all, probably because he doesn't need to, frankly... The weird thing is, LadBaby - even as a YouTuber - doesn't get *that* many views for his music videos. He has had 1.5m views for Don't Stop Me Eatin'. I imagine a lot of the popular Christmas music videos will have done more than that in a day.
