  2. Seems like a lot of Rita. :???:
  3. It's quite extraordinary that the estimate has gone from 700k a few weeks ago to perhaps reaching 1.2 million. Only a couple of days ago it was 900k+. She's slaying! :heart-old:
  4. This is turning out to be the summer of Ariana and Iggy then I guess. Nice to see Sia still around in the top 10.
  5. Am I missing something or has there been a mistake? Frozen would be No.3 not No.2 on 43k sales? Still happy its climbed though.
  6. First impression, glad the horn isn't as prominent as I thought it would be despite the trend of late. The song and video has a massive 'feel good' vibe to it that makes me smile. So another catchy tune from Taylor! Here's to a new ERA!
  7. nfWlot6h_JM The video! Love it.
  8. Definitely. If she'd stayed with country I think her star would be rapidly fading by now, even on the mainstream U.S charts if not the country charts. She would be sounding like a broken record. Taylor and her P.R/management team seem to be very business savvy. She's stayed true to herself but managed to evolved to become quite the star! I sympathise with Regina above though. Worryingly, she will still start to sound like a broken record if she keeps going on about her ex's in every other song, whatever the genre. Rumours of the lyrical content of what she's dropping next do look promising though!
  9. With 'Red' she became much of a global star at the expense of her core country U.S base. I think it would be silly of her to go back to releasing something like 'Fearless' as it probably wouldn't be as successful as 'Red' was globally. I think it's a natural progression as well. Her younger country style fitted quite well with her diary-esque lyrics but now with a bit more maturity she's starting to venture out a bit. Plus, once you've lost a substantial country fan base it can be quite difficult to get back (e.g. Dixie Chicks although for different reasons). I don't think she'll ever be as successful in the country charts as she was in the beginning of her career even if she does go back to the country genre. Looking forward to listening to her new song. Love that she might be taking a self-deprecating look at herself for once!

Same here, I had no idea she was from X-Factor. Outside of friends/social media I don't pay much attention to the X-Factor so I'm not really embroiled emotionally with a contestant. It's all about the post-X Factor releases for me. For me Leona Lewis, Diana Vickers, Ella , One Direction and JLS have really gone past the 'manufactured from a reality show' label with only the first 3 releasing anything of substance or power (IMO of course). Back to Glow. I feel a bit silly in asking this, but is anyone getting a Rihanna 'Princess of China' vibe, mostly from the 'Whooooah'. :P

I saw it on 4Music earlier as well. Music channels have been very quick to pick the video up.
  12. Ditto. Love Clarity. I continue to love Break Free despite Ariana Grande. Although saying that she's the best thing on Bang Bang and I don't mind Problem it's just the way she comes across on interviews sometimes.
