Regarding William Orbit producing consecutive number 1s - Pure Shores and American Pie. This was the 18th time in Uk chart history that the same producer has produced consecutive number 1s. Of those 18 times, 5 of those were producers who produced 3 number 1s in a row. They were Mitch Miller Norrie Paramor George Martin ( twice ) Stock / Aitken / Waterman

Why is Davido at number 98 on the album chart: Our usually reliable friend on twitter: ‘Oriade’ by Davido ends the week at #98 on the UK Albums Chart with 1,864 sales. It pains me to report this, but 5,931 sales were disqualified from the project yesterday. Whether that was due to sales being deemed ineligible or an issue with how they were reported, it ultimately denied Davido what would’ve been his first-ever UK Top 5 album. Someone else on twitter who appears to be in the know: Reports from music data trackers also noted that ORIADÉ suffered from a digital metadata glitch upon release, where the project was briefly split into two different versions on digital platforms (one spelled Oriadeand the other Oriadé). This fragmented early data reporting and caused compatibility issues when the final eligible UK sales were being officially audited. Ultimately, this sudden loss of nearly 6,000 units dropped the album from its #2 mid-week projection down to its final official debut of #98 with 1,864 accepted sales

Alan Jones only usually mentions the top 75 because that is the chart that Music Week publish - they don't print the top 100.

It must have done. It;s total on Wednesday's update was 7,124 - even if it didn't sell a single copy for the rest of the week, it would still be number 7 tonight !

Music Week listed Rein Me In as a climber because its overall total increased, however that was due to downloads - it's streams declined so it is on 2 weeks of decline - DCL-2.

Looking at the you tube comments , it would appear that a lot of people streamed it on Friday after hearing about it on the news - not hearing it before - and wondering what the fuss was about !!
