Probably the majority of people who download songs on iTunes wouldn't care about the charts anyway, they just want the song that they like as soon as possible without getting it in a illegal way.

Songs used to have to climb from the very bottom of the chart when there were no pre-orders whatsoever in the iTunes singles chart so it's a bit different nowadays.

Hozier is #1 on Deezer and Rihanna is #4. Edit: Hozier is also #2 on Google Play and Rihanna is #5

I think Tough Love will be at #4 or #5 on the sales chart, I'm not too sure about the overall chart though.

It's probably for the best this way, the iTunes chart will be a lot more interesting to follow on Sunday's now when the new songs get released instead of all the action happening at 12:45 AM in the early hours of Sunday.

GDFR definitely would have got to #1 on iTunes anyway, it is #2 on the official sales chart so it's only possibly the Sam Smith/John Legend song that would have stopped it getting there on iTunes but that got released a day after Flo Rida.

I'm surprised Tough Love isn't in the top 10 yet.

I guess this is what we can expect to see on the 22nd of March when it's fully released.

I can see the John Legend version of Lay Me Down pushing the #2 down to below 0.50 on Friday night/Saturday morning.

How do you guys know that Lay Me Down is #2 combined?

Real Madrid vs Schalke was so good, a match of the season contender I think. Schalke were so unlucky not to go through to the next round, I can't see Real Madrid breaking the Champions League winners curse this season.
