It's the same discussions time and time again, that doesn't mean things need to change in regard to the format of the contest, sometimes you just need to accept the rules etc. I would be in favour of anonymity but honestly idk how much "bloc voting" that would combat as you're trusting people to keep quiet but you know that probably won't happen off-site, especially among people who might share potentials (even though you're not meant to but I'm sure it still happens). Being in the wrong semi is a thing but when they're randomly drawn there's not really much that can be done about it. Unless you start introducing genre tags at confirmation and literally have a pop vs alt semi but thats a bit much, a lot of songs can't be put into a box and people's tastes are so much more diverse than that. If I'd have had even one more typical pop voter in my semi this month I probably would have qualified, I knew from the start the odds weren't in my favour based on the amount of known pop fans in the semi but again, what can you really do? Someone has to come 21st 😅 I think it's unfair to say that the mods aren't open to suggestions, I think they definitely are and there is the spin-off forum to trial things as well. People are good suggesting ideas there but not actually taking the action to trial it, it's why there's not a lot of spin-offs these days but that doesn't mean it's due to the mods not being open.

I never said I didn't enjoy participating, of course there are contests where I'm not as keen on the songs or I'm maybe not as invested as much for one reason or another. Once I lost my longest Q streak I had to set a new goal for myself and that was to reach my 100th anniversary, that just feels like the right time to finish. If I really didn't get anything out of BJSC I wouldn't be participating at all, regardless of how many contests I'd entered or where my Q streak was at. I've taken breaks in the past when I've needed it.

You don't need to like someone or their music but to constantly call her things like rude, aggressive, egotistical, a liar etc is extremely tiring to read. Why engage in this discussion so much if you have nothing positive to say? It's almost like Chappell was telling the truth in her video 👀 Why is it such an issue to take a woman at her word? I'm so tired of the narrative people are so hellbent on attaching to her. People forget what can happen when the media and public put this amount of villainisation on one person, who quite frankly doesn't deserve it. People are taking this as an opportunity to pile on criticisms as well, digging up things about her upbringing, how she got her start, old clips of her etc. Jameela is just listing stuff yes but it's all reasons as to why certain types of people would want to ruin her reputation/career
